DEVOTED BOYFRIEND SEAN PENN SNEAKED OUT THE BACK DOOR OF A NAIL SALON WITH CHARLIZE THERON

Sean didn’t get HIS nails done, but you KNOW things are getting serious when Sean Penn,53, accompanies his girlfriend TO A NAIL SALON! We have never seen Penn in any kind of hair or beauty salon so we know he’s more than casually interested in Charlize Theron. Charlize, 38, doesn’t like to be without a boyfriend for long and she’s ripe for the picking. Seeing Sean in the supermarket with Charlize, tickling her adopted son Jackson indicates that this relationship is developing fast. Hopefully Charlize will listen to her mother, who apparently has reservations about Penn. Good for her.

CHARLIZE THERON HAD A LAPSE IN TASTE INVOLVING SEAN PENN

We’re not thrilled by the new coupling of Charlize Theron and Sean Penn. The pair just returned from a trip to Hawaii where Charlize stayed at Sean’s house. They tried to keep everything a secret but paparazzi sniffed them out. When they got back, Sean was seen leaving her LA house the next morning. Granted, Sean IS generous in his charity work, but as far as we know, he still has that bitter, ungrateful personality. He’s got a chip on his shoulder and has had more than a few fights with paparazzi. Plus, we remember how badly he treated his ex-wife Robin Wright. (Robin, 48, just got engaged to her 33 year old boyfriend Ben Foster.) Charlize Theron can do better.

WHAT’S THE STORY ON SEAN PENN’S HAIR?

Sean Penn was photographed leaving a nightclub in London and the photographer believed that his hair implants were drooping in the humidity. We never knew he had hair augmentation – if he did- and wonder if anyone out there has any details.

ROBIN WRIGHT AND BEN FOSTER: SHE GOT HERSELF A YOUNGER, NICER VERSION OF SEAN PENN

#robinwright #janetcharlton

We always felt bad for Robin Wright when she was married to Sean Penn because he made her and their kids live in northern California while he caroused in Los Angeles. He tried to make himself look like a hero by claiming his family “wasn’t safe” living in LA. Ridiculous. Robin had a difficult time maintaining her career at that time, but she was always supportive of Sean’s. So we are really happy to hear that Robin, 46, and her young boyfriend Ben Foster, 32, who resembles Penn in both looks and acting technique, but hopefully not in personality, are still together after more than a year and she seems quite happy. They met in 2011 while filming “Rampart.” Recently, temperamental Sean has been whining that he “never felt loved” – maybe because he’s never been very lovable. (Don’t forget he once tied up his then- wife Madonna on Thanksgiving and threatened to stick her head in the oven.)

SEAN PENN DRINKS BUT HE DOESN’T DRIVE

Now that he’s 51, Sean Penn doesn’t take any chances on drinking and driving. Or maybe he just drinks more. He likes to hang out at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, which also happens to be Jennifer Aniston’s favorite bar. When Sean is planning to have a few cocktails there, he calls ahead and reserves a room just in case. If he happens to get too liquored up to drive, he stays overnight. And if he has a hard time finding his room – the staff helps him out – they like him there.

THE UNLIKEABLE SEAN PENN HAS MADE A LIKEABLE MOVIE

Okay, so we’re not huge fans of Sean Penn, but sometimes we really like his work and the trailer for his new movie “This Must Be The Place “ has tickled our fancy. Penn plays an aging wealthy goth rockstar (think Robert Smith) ) living a boring life in Dublin until his estranged father dies back in America. He hasn’t seen his father in 30 years but the rocker flies to the USA to settle the estate, and he learns his father was tormented by an SS officer during the holocaust and the Nazi might still be alive in America. He sets out to find him and has many adventures in the process. Why are the plots of independent films so much more interesting than blockbusters?

DID WE NEED ANOTHER REASON TO DISLIKE SEAN PENN?

Sean Penn makes himself SO EASY not to like! On Saturday he and Scarlett Johansson attended the White House Correspondents Association dinner and they made a big scene smooching over dinner. Worst of all, according to Page 6, the moody Penn refused to put his hand over his heart like everyone else in the room, and sing “The Star Spangled Banner.” How ungrateful can a person be?

RYAN REYNOLDS HOPES TO MAKE HIS NEW GIRLFRIEND AGNES FISCHER, A STAR

While his exwife Scarlett Johansson is fooling around with Sean Penn, Ryan Reynolds has been keeping himself busy with German model Agnes Fischer. And Ryan has been actively helping his girlfriend cultivate an acting career. He got her a small non-speaking role in his movie Safe House, and he’s also pressuring producers to cast Agnes as his love interest in his next film R.I.P.D. Ryan obviously feels confident that his romance will last, because RIPD starts filming in Boston this summer.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON AND SEAN PENN ARE PLAYING HOUSE

Scarlett Johansson, 26, hoped she wouldn’t be recognized when she picked up a few things at the Malibu supermarket yesterday. Her hair was stuffed under a hat and she dressed down in a baggy grey sweater and black jacket. She’s rumored to have moved into Sean Penn’s Malibu house or at the very least she’s spending all her time there. It looks like she planned to cook a healthy dinner for her 50 year old boyfriend, who is recently divorced just like she is.

BRAD PITT’S “THE TREE OF LIFE:” ANTIDOTE TO THE ACTION MOVIE

We were immediately enthralled when we saw this trailer for “The Tree of Life.” Director Terrence Malick also gave us the exquisite “Days of Heaven.” It takes place in the midwest in the ‘50’s and it’s the story of a little boy’s innocent journey through childhood with a dreamy mother and a realistic father. He ends up struggling with disillusionment in the modern world. Brad Pitt plays the dad and Sean Penn is the little boy when he grows up. Malick’s visuals are always so extraordinary that they stay with you for a long, pleasant time.
