But Will has always spent time away from the family while filming his blockbuster movies, and Jada thinks nothing of going on concert tours with her band for months at a time. They’ve been married for 16 years and seem to give each other plenty of freedom without resentment. Will HATES the idea of divorce, and Jada seems to have a great life with him, so why would she call it off? We can’t come up with a good reason for them to split. Khloe Kardashian wants the world to know how much she is suffering due to her husband Lamar Odom’s drug problems and recent DUI, not to mention their shaky marriage. She’s feeling sorry for herself and announced dramatically on Twitter, “As much as I wish I were made of steel …I’m not.” She went on to assure her fans that her husbands troubles won’t break her, although they’re coming close to it. In the middle of all this self-pity she took time to post a glamour shot of herself on Instagram, looking suitably melancholy, proving that when you’re a Kardashian, any time is a good time for self-promotion.

Denzel’s wife Pauletta, 62, made up her mind early on that she would not allow anything to destroy their relationship. And that means she’s had to overlook years of rumors regarding her husband cheating. Women have always thrown themselves at Denzel, 58, and he enjoys the attention. When Denzel has a few drinks he become a big flirt himself. Radaronline says someone is shopping around photos of Denzel kissing another woman to gossip magazines and websites, but his marriage is NOT in jeopardy. We personally witnessed Denzel arrive on a red carpet followed by Pauletta. A group of young women immediately surrounded him squealing “Denzel!” – UNTIL Pauletta walked up and announced in no uncertain terms, “I AM MRS DENZEL WASHINGTON!!” and the girls quickly scattered.

Since this website was born seven years ago, we have been telling readers that Angelina Jolie did NOT break up Brad Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston. The truth is, Jennifer grew unhappy because Brad was a bore – he sat on the couch all day and did nothing but smoke weed. He lost his mojo. Soon they both acknowledged their lack of happiness and Jennifer asked for a divorce. Brad’s “Mr and Mrs Smith” costar Angelina was thrilled her hear about the split and gave Brad a shoulder to lean on. Brad did not take up with Angelina until his marriage was over. Jen and Brad’s friend Sheryl Crowe clarified the situation “Jennifer broke up with Brad, and NOT because of Angelina.” Brad’s recent interview backs up what we have always said. He totally blamed himself for the demise of the marriage because he became “dull,” and praised Jennifer as a “giving, loving and hilarious woman.” Brad is not a cheater.

Suddenly Nicole Kidman is making vague references to her marriage to Tom Cruise in Du Jour magazine, and she’s getting all KINDS of attention – simply because she has always been mum on the subject. But if you take a close look at her carefully worded recollections, they NEVER mention Scientology nor do they reveal anything personal about Tom. She was a naïve 23 year old aspiring actress when she married the Hollywood star. (He likes them young and malleable) Nicole’s most revealing comment was “we lived in a bubble and became very dependant on each other.” Tom separates his wives from their friends and family and HIS few friends are Scientologists. When he was asked why he divorced Nicole, Tom only said “NICOLE KNOWS WHY.” We think he caught her cheating. But Nicole has never addressed WHY they split. She’s happier with her life now and says “Before I was running away from life – now I embrace it.” Sounds exactly like Katie. (We can just picture Tom and his Scientology buddies going over Nicole’s interview with a fine tooth comb)

Gwen Stefani has said that she considers her marriage to be the biggest accomplishment in her life, and she HAS kept it together against all odds. In the photo above, Gwen is seen taking her stepdaughter Daisy Lowe out to dinner in London along with her band and son Kingston. Gwen and Gavin Rossdale have been married since 2002, and in 2004 he and Gwen learned that he fathered a daughter (Daisy, now 23) with a former model in London. Gwen took it in her stride and maintains a relationship with Daisy, who is now a model herself. Gwen also tolerated the news that in his youth Gavin had a fling with transgender performer Marilyn, who called Gavin the love of his life. Gwen has handled some awkward situations in her marriage admirably, and she has a right to be proud of it.

We couldn’t help but appreciate “Hope Springs” after a summer of 3D action movies. Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones play a couple as ordinary as your own parents. We’ve never seen Tommy Lee play a role like this and he is understated and brilliant. After 31 years of marriage they’ve grown apart, and Kay is unhappy and Arnold is oblivious. Kay forces her husband into marriage therapy with embarrassing and fascinating results. Many longtime marrieds will see themselves in these realistic characters (the script was written by a woman – Vanessa Taylor) It’s smart and funny and makes you think – it should be required viewing for anybody who wants to stay married.
