Kim Kardashian is trying to butter up what is probably the most important newspaper in the UK, The Daily Mail. It’s a particularly celebrity-friendly paper and extremely influential. (Everybody reads it.) She was photographed attending the paper’s yacht party in Cannes wearing this Egyptian inspired, terrifyingly tight dress. As usual she has that lobotomized expressionless look on her face – Kanye DID warn her never to look happy. Do you think he got the idea from observing Victoria Beckham?

Conor Kennedy, 18, doesn’t have a thing to worry about – when it comes to his on again off again girlfriend Taylor Swift. The pair are on a break while he finishes high school and Taylor is on tour promoting her new album. Taylor, 22, has been seen hanging out with 18 year old Harry Styles of the boy band One Direction, and they are creating quite a stir among their young fans.What a coincidence! All this attention is great for BOTH of them because they both have new albums to promote, but insiders feel Taylor is still hooked on Conor and her friendship with Harry is career-driven. Harry was more than delighted to post photos of himself with Taylor at Central Park on Twitter.

How the mighty have fallen. Perhaps you remember that annoying couple Spencer and Heidi from a few years ago? They did almost ANYTHING to get publicity for themselves and called photographers every time they left the house. In 2010, Heidi’s mother Darlene paid the pair a surprise visit and she got into a big argument with Heidi – her mother never liked Spencer and she was upset over Heidi’s extensive plastic surgery. Darlene refused to leave and the squabble got SO heated that Spencer called police to escort the mother out of the house. Heidi and her mother didn’t speak again until recently. Spencer immediately started trying to sell photos of Heidi and her mom reunited along with the story that their feud is over. He was shocked to learn that no one seems to CARE any more and readers aren’t interested! These two might actually have to go out and get JOBS!

RYAN O’NEAL IS STILL CASHING IN ON FARRAH’S MEMORY

Ryan O’Neal has been making a huge deal out of his prostate cancer and of course, there’s a good reason that has nothing to do with honesty. The dramatic announcements (is it stage FOUR or stage TWO, Ryan? Make up your mind!) were well timed to arouse pity and draw attention to his new book “Both Of Us- My Life With Farrah.” So he’s still cashing in on his relationship with Farrah, perhaps because not many people care about HIS life story. On his website, Ryan modestly describes himself as an “iconic actor, Oscar nominee, and true movie star.” Miraculously, he’s not too sick to schedule a cross-country book tour, starting in New York Tuesday.

Courtney Stodden tries harder. You have to give the 17 year old publicity hungry child bride credit, she’s relentless when it comes to seeking fame and perhaps an acting job. Hollywood is full of celebrities for the Golden Globes this weekend, but Courtney managed to snag a photographer by dressing up in lucite stripper heels, tiny shorts, and frosted lipstick, to take her pink dyed dog for a walk. She was accompanied, not by her indulgent husband Doug, but some young guy trying to look like a bodyguard with an earpiece and a black suit.

LINDSAY LOHAN GOT A GOOD DEAL ON HER TEETH CLEANING

Lindsay Lohan managed to turn a negative into a positive when she was caught with rotten looking stained teeth. She smokes and drinks a lot of coffee among other things, and has been neglecting her smile. After she saw the unflattering photo of her teeth circulating on the internet she made a deal with the most famous cosmetic dentist in Beverly hills, Dr William Dorfman. You’ve probably seen him on “Extreme Makeover” or numerous other self-improvement shows. We’re betting the handsome dentist gave Lindsay a sweet deal if she promised to give him some publicity for whitening her teeth. She tweeted this “after” photo of herself and a plug for the obliging dentist.

ABERCROMBIE & FITCH’S LAME PUBLICITY STUNT BACKFIRES

Business must be lousy at Abercrombie & Fitch if the company is trying to use Jersey Shore’s The Situation to get some free publicity. Someone at the company “leaked” the rumor that A&F offered to pay the Jersey Shore gang NOT to wear their label. The Situation, who often wears their sweats, wasn’t the least bit offended and swears he never heard a word from the company about any offer. Pauly D pointed out that A&F sold a GTL (gym, tanning, laundry) t- shirt inspired by the show a few seasons ago. Just a lame publicity stunt, but what’s shocking is how influential The Situation has become…

WHY CAN’T KIM KARDASHIAN JUST ELOPE AND LEAVE US ALONE?

Is anybody else out there sick to death of hearing about Kim Kardashian’s wedding? Let’s boycott the obnoxious event! E! plans to devote FOUR HOURS of primetime TV to the event which is packed with free advertising. Cameras are shooting every iota of preparation for the Montecito ceremony -from cake tasting to dress fittings to rehearsals. Everyone involved in the event seems to be “a friend” and donating services in exchange for shoving more publicity down our throats. Every day Kris Jenner releases the latest news and photos about the upcoming event and gullible news sources release them. ENOUGH ALREADY! E! is expecting around five million viewers – let’s tune OUT and surprise them!

He gained fame on Dr 90210 doing implants, and also sold body shapers and skin care products on the Shopping Channel. He’s one of the few plastic surgeons who courts publicity and loves having his picture taken. (Above, he’s leaving BOA steakhouse.)

DID KIM KARDASHIAN BUY HER OWN TWO MILLION DOLLAR ENGAGEMENT RING?

Kris Humphries has brought us back to the days when women like Elizabeth Taylor and Zsa Zsa Gabor judged their men by the size of the diamonds they received from them. Men liked the show off their wealth to impress acquisitive women who “sold out” to the highest bidder. Even Liz and Zsa Zsa would be shocked to learn that a woman who gained fame by selling her own x-rated sex video received an engagement ring worth two million dollars! (Of course we’re guessing it was BOUGHT for considerably less) But let’s analyze this. Two million is a year’s salary for Kris. Kim Kardashian earns twenty or thirty times as much as Kris. Hollywood insiders believe that Kim bought the ring HERSELF and arranged the proposal for maximum publicity (with a little help from her mom Kris Jenner.) She wants the world to know what she’s worth!
