COURTNEY LOVE LEARNED A LESSON FROM CHRISSY TEIGEN

Courtney Love went on an Instagram rampage yesterday and insulted Nirvana band members over a royalties gripe she’s had for years, and then she turned on Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) and accused him of “abusing girls as young as 12.” The next day she came to her senses, took down the post, and apologized to everyone. (Possibly inspired by Chrissy Teigen) It raised the question: Could someone with a controversial history like Courtney GET AWAY with bad behavior online that might damage someone else’s career? Maybe- but Courtney didn’t want to take a chance…

WHO KNEW CRISTIANO RONALDO HAD SUCH GODAWFUL TASTE?

This news is shocking for a number of reasons: handsome Italian soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has put his condo in Trump Tower up for sale for HALF what he paid for it in 2015! That’s UNHEARD OF in New York’s real estate business. Rumor has it his fans urged him to sell after Trump was elected. In 2015, Ronaldo paid 18.5 million for the 2509 sq ft, 3 bed, 3.5 bath condo. In 2019, he put it up for sale for 9 million with no takers. Honestly, we were SHOCKED to see photos of the place – Cristiano has HORRIBLE taste. The condo is dark and crowded with gaudy furniture and drapes. Each room is grotesquely overdone- the only nice feature is the park view. The asking price is now 7.75 million. The idea of New York real estate LOSING value is almost unimaginable. Could it have anything to do with the name on the building?

DR DRE WANTS TO ERASE HIS UGLY PAST

To be honest, we have absolutely DESPISED NWA founder Dr Dre since 1991 when he viciously attacked a female journalist because he didn’t like something she wrote. The writer, Dee Barnes, had interviewed Ice Cube about his split from NWA and Dre approached her at Def Jam party in LA. He grabbed her by the hair and slammed her several times into a brick wall while his friend with a gun “watched.” When a guy tried to come to her aid, the “friend” pistol whipped him and broke his teeth. Dre continued the violent beating all the way into the women’s restroom. (He attacked a lot of women in those days, including his girlfriends.) After the beating, the hip hop world turned its back on Dee and she lost her job and career. Of course Dre went on to become a billionaire. We still don’t like him, but now he is trying to do something right. He and music mogul Jimmy Iovine are establishing a special high school in LA and remarkably, it has NOTHING to do with music. The new Leimert Park school will be aimed at black and latino students, and hopes to develop young innovators and entrepreneurs in the areas of design, business, and technology – creative enterprises of the future. Sounds incredible. Maybe the near-fatal brain aneurism he had in January inspired Dre to do something right.

ASAP ROCKY AND HIS INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT

ASAP Rocky was always stylish, but since hooking up with Rihanna, he is looking better than ever! He arrived at the Tribeca Film Festival for the premier of his aptly titled documentary Stockholm Syndrome looking like THIS. You might remember he was involved in an “international incident” before the pandemic. Rocky was charged with assault and jailed in Stockholm, Sweden after two men followed him and his crew and instigated a street brawl. Rocky released a video to support his self defense claim and a number of high profile people (Kanye, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, etc etc) advocated for his release with the #FreeRocky campaign. The documentary covers Rocky’s career before the confrontation and chronicles his time in the Swedish jail. By the way, Rihanna DOES appear onscreen.

DIANE KEATON’S KIDS ARE GOING, GOING, GONE…

Seems like yesterday that Diane Keaton ( A unique Hollywood actress who has NEVER been married!) adopted her two children while in her fifties. The kids, Dexter and Duke, grew up OUT of the limelight and daughter Dexter, 28, just got married yesterday in Laguna Beach to her boyfriend Jordan White, who loves both motorcycles and cooking. Diane walked her daughter down the aisle in a white pantsuit and hat. Time flies…

HALLE BERRY REMINISCES ABOUT HER BIG BREAK

Halle Berry , 54, posted this photo of herself in her very FIRST movie role in Jungle Fever to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary. Spike Lee’s racially charged drama starred Wesley Snipes and Annabella Sciorra as a couple in an exciting but doomed romance. Halle says she had a very small but memorable role as a “crack hoe” (her quote not mine!) She sent a shout-out to Spike Lee “Thanks for believing in me!”

JOHN LEGEND: NO GUILT BY ASSOCIATION

When we saw this photo of John Legend ALONE at the Tribeca Film Festival our first thought was: It must be KILLING Chrissy Teigen to stay home from this event! John was there for the premier of the documentary Legend of the Underground, which he co-produced. The HBO film documents the rampant anti-LGBTQ discrimination in Nigeria and it’s quite an accomplishment for John. His missing wife Chrissy has learned that your tweets can come back to haunt you – and hers did in a big way. Her reputation and business deals are all a mess since her cruel messages to other women on social media have surfaced. Luckily, John has not suffered because he’s married to her – NBC and The Voice still love him. And he still gets invitations…

SELMA BLAIR ADAPTS TO BEING BLONDE

Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions) was always the gorgeous brunette who actually looked even more beautiful with short hair. We briefly met her and her little boy a few years ago in front of a fashionable clothing store at The Grove. Selma and her son were playful and outgoing and appeared to be best friends. A few years after that she announced that she was diagnosed with MS. To her credit she has retained her natural beauty and has never stopped being seen out and about even though some days she needs a little help. She has a new documentary on Discovery+ called Introducing, Selma Blair, detailing how she adapts to new ways of living with MS. This week Selma decided to liven things up by going blonde – and she looks just as good with light hair as she does with dark hair!
