We were just waiting for THIS to happen. When The Enquirer revealed that Whitney Houston was buried with $500,00 worth of jewelry, you could just imagine the grave robbers making plans. Whose brilliant idea was THAT? Her burial site in Westfield, New Jersey, has been closed to the general public for the past week after hordes of fans overran the cemetery. 24 hour armed security guards have been hired by the family to keep her grave from being robbed. What a waste of money.

The worst nightmare of Whitney Houston’s family has come true. A photo of her in her open casket is on the cover of The Enquirer. (Why the family didn’t have a closed casket after the hotel photos leaked is a mystery to us, but…) Of course this appalling photo raises the question of WHO DID IT? Who betrayed the grieving family and sold this photo? Everyone is pointing a finger at each other, but let’s consider the facts. It’s most likely someone rather hard up for money. Whitney’s questionable brother? We doubt if the culprit is actually family. We deduce that an entourage member who is suddenly completely jobless and without resources, is guilty. We wonder if this cover will sell like Elvis did…

We didn’t know Whitney Houston was a teen model. It’s 1981 and for some reason this magazine cover has a Norman Rockwell innocent quality. There was one question we always hoped to ask Whitney Houston and now it will never happen. We wanted to know her reaction to the news that Osama bin Laden had a massive crush on her. In 2006 one of bin Laden’s mistresses published a book called “Diary of a Lost Girl” in which she described the al Qaeda leader’s obsession with Whitney. He thought Whitney was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen and he fantasized about spending loads of money to go to America and meet her. Bin Ladin swooned over Whitney’s smile and convinced himself she was truly Islamic and brainwashed by American culture. He even dreamed about killing her then-husband Bobby Brown so he could marry her himself.

Whitney Houston’s family has bigger things than Bobby Brown to worry about. It has occurred to her family members that there seems to be a “leak” in Whitney’s entourage. SOMEONE sold those photos taken inside Whitney’s suite – showing the room service table etc. (above) That person obviously needs the money- especially now that Whitney is gone. But what the family fears most is that someone will leak Whitney’s autopsy photos from the coroner’s office – and they’ll end up online for everyone to see – like Tupac Shakur’s. If THOSE photos leak, the family will be devastated.

DON’T BLAME BOBBY BROWN FOR WHITNEY’S DRUG PROBLEM

It’s easy to point the finger at Bobby Brown and blame him for ruining Whitney Houston’s life by introducing her to drugs. Granted, Whitney was a nice, well brought up girl when she met Bobby, but everyone assumed she was also gay. She and her live-in assistant Robyn Crawford were inseparable until Whitney met Bobby at the Soul Train Awards in 1989. Bobby had left New Edition and was only 20, while Whitney was almost six years older. He was loads of fun and had started experimenting with drugs. Whitney was immediately smitten and she enthusiastically joined him dabbling with drugs too. As the romance heated up so did their drug abuse. But Whitney was always the boss – she was in charge. They were spectacularly happy together for years, but the drugs took their toll. Public scenes of brawling and cursing became common and Whitney lost her good girl image. When they divorced in 2007, her fans hoped that with the “bad influence” of Bobby gone, she would clean up. It didn’t happen.

WHITNEY HOUSTON’S DEATH: THE ENQUIRER SAW IT COMING

The Enquirer got it right: Whitney Houston appeared on the cover this week and she was described as “hitting rock bottom.” She reportedly was on the verge of bankruptcy and collapsed after leaving a Beverly Hills doctor’s office last week. The next night she was out partying with her occasional companion Ray J. Singer Ray J (He made his fortune from that notorious sex video with Kim Kardashian) has been accused of abusing drugs himself and he always seemed to enjoy the attention he got from photographers when he was in the company of Whitney a little too much. The Enquirer predicted correctly “Whitney is playing Russian roulette with her life.” And her distraught daughter (they checked into rehab TOGETHER last year) Bobbi Kristina is the real victim.

It finally happened. Whitney Houston has died. It’s a miracle she lived this long, considering her self destructive predilections. But it’s awfully sad because she was once a great beauty and a formidable talent. We thought Simon Cowell had lost his mind when he considered hiring Whitney to be a judge on X-Factor. It COULD have been a new start for her, but most likely would have turned out badly. Our sympathies to her family and especially her daughter Bobbi Kristina.
