MARIAH CAREY WILL DO ALMOST ANYTHING TO PROTECT HER VOICE

Mariah Carey has always been super protective of her voice and she’s in the habit of sleeping with an army of humidifiers in her bedroom at all times. (It keeps her throat AND her skin moist.) The excessive moisture in the air has led to a dilemma. The walls in her room become so damp that sometimes the paint peels off and mold appears! Then Mariah has to move into another bedroom to “detox” from the mold, while her own bedroom has the mold removed. Whatever Mariah does is fine with her husband Nick Cannon.

If you think Mariah Carey is deliriously happy about her new set of twins, her husband Nick Cannon is even MORE delighted. According to a friend, Nick has been wanting babies ever since he married Mariah. He couldn’t WAIT for her to get pregnant and encouraged her to try every medical trick in the book. Nick never gave up and even when things got tough (Mariah battled weight problems, miscarriage, etc) he convinced Mariah they would get their wish. Only now does Nick feel relaxed and secure in his marriage. His friend said “He’s kind of like a woman in that way. He loves being a dad.”

According to a friend “Nick is like a girl – he wanted Mariah to have a baby right after they got married. He likes kids and feels like this cements their marriage.” The happy couple is deliberately vague about the delivery date – “sometime in the Spring.”

Yesterday Page 6 wrote a big story about how Nick Cannon is looking for corporate sponsors to pay for his 30th birthday bash and fill gift bags. The party will be hosted by his wife Mariah Carey, and lots of high profile guest are “confirmed” such as Jay-Z and Beyonce, Ashton and Demi, Kobe Bryant etc, to whet the sponsors appetites. Of course, Nick and Mariah don’t need the money but they’re only doing what just about ALL the celebrities do – let someone else pay for their parties. Jay-Z and Beyonce don’t need the money either, but they never pay for their own parties. Nick has ALWAYS gotten sponsors for his birthday parties – the difference is HE talks about it and other celebrities have their PR people handle it quietly.

Opposites DO attract. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon walked out of a medical building in Beverly Hills (not a gym) and they were each wearing their own particular version of workout wear. Their preferences lie at opposite ends of the spectrum. Mariah likes her apparel three sizes too small and Nick prefers his three sizes too big! The deliriously happy couple is still mum about starting a family.

One thing Mariah Carey COULDN’T do at her second anniversary wedding ceremony was wear her original wedding dress! It’s apparent that she has outgrown the original gown by a mile! As you can see by the (top) first wedding photo Mariah was quite lean in those days.
