Love, love, love, this mug shot of Cher taken when she was just 13! Cher told the story of how she was arrested at such a young age to Jay Leno last night and Jay surprised her with the photo. It seems Cher “borrowed” her mother Georgia’s car one night and took some friends for a joy ride when the cops caught her and hauled her into the police station. Cher started doing EVERYTHING at a young age!
We recall the first time we saw Michael Madsen in the early 90’s in “Thelma & Louise” – he was spectacular as an Elvis-lookalike tough guy with a heart of gold. He went on to do movies like “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill” plus the fabulous “Species” series. What happened? This week he was arrested after a confrontation with his teenage son where he took away the kid’s marijuana. He was described by police as “intoxicated.” Madson has had other embarrassing incidents involving substance abuse over the past few years. But this mug shot startled us – it rivals Nick Nolte’s. Michael Madsen is blonde? – apparently he’s Scandinavian and his sister Virginia Madsen is blonde too. Little did we know….
Redmond O’Neal just can’t get it right. The last judge he saw warned him that if he didn’t clean up in his current rehab, he’d be sent to state prison for his accumulated felonies. This week someone sneaked drugs to him in rehab and he flunked a drug test. He’s expected to be back in front of the judge this week and the outcome won’t be good. But nothing could be worse than his last mug shot. This sunken, aging face belongs to a privileged 26 year old kid with two good looking parents. Look what he’s done to himself.

We usually avoid writing about athletes but we cannot let this mug shot pass without comment. Denver Bronco Laurence Maroney was arrested in St Louis in a car containing 6 people, 3 guns, and a substance suspected of being marijuana. He has been released, but the real crime – his hair style – will not be forgotten easily. It has to be one of the least flattering and most peculiar we’ve ever seen. Those three thick braids jutting out of his head look like rope. Laurence – get rid of the guns AND your hairstylist.

There IS a bright side to Heather Locklear’s recent DUI arrest. That would be THIS booking photo. We’ve seen a lot of mug shots and this has to be one of the most flattering of all time. Leave it to Santa Barbara police to have great lighting. There is a lot of conversation about Heather’s supposed despair about her declining beauty. If this photo doesn’t cheer her up, nothing will. She doesn’t have a line on her face and looks weepy, but very young and vulnerable. With huge innocent eyes. Most people in her situation look haggard and skeevy with black circles and other abominations. Since this photo may follow her for years to come, Heather does have something to be grateful for.
