HARVEY WEINSTEIN AND STEVEN SEAGAL: BATHROBE PREDATORS

At last! We’ve been eagerly waiting for Steven Seagal’s name to come up linked to sexual assault, and Juliana Margulies did it! Super-creepy Seagal, 65, has always been comparable to Harvey Weinstein in his methods – he invited actresses to his hotel room for “auditions” and greeted them in a bathrobe! Numerous women have charged the massively egotistical actor with sexual harassment over the years, but they’ve been paid off. (The repugnant Marty Singer is his lawyer, of course.) Let’s hope Juliana opened the floodgates, because Seagal deserves to be recognized for the monster he is.

THERE IS NO CURE FOR WHAT’S WRONG WITH HARVEY WEINSTEIN

If you EVER thought Harvey Weinstein might have a milligram of decency in him, you WON’T when you read the Hollywood Reporter story about how he and his colleagues behave in expensive hotels. Chris Gardner interviewed some anonymous hotel employees about their experiences with Harvey and other powerful showbiz moguls and we were APPALLED. If his room service order was delayed, he’d flip over the tray!! SCREAMING and belittling hotel employees was an everyday activity. He would walk into the restaurant and demand to know why his table wasn’t ready – even if he had no reservation. And that’s the TIP of the iceberg. After all that bad behavior, he didn’t TIP. No amount of rehab – sex or otherwise – is going to change someone THAT entitled and deeply unethical.

DID HEIDI KLUM SELL HER SOUL TO HARVEY WEINSTEIN?

Way up there on the list of women who AREN’T talking about Harvey Weinstein is Heidi Klum. Harvey Weinstein was the executive producer of her show Project Runway during its 16 successful seasons. Of course the show gave Harvey access to literally HUNDREDS of young and vulnerable models and opened doors to the entire fashion world. We can’t be sure that Heidi was forced to watch Weinstein take a shower or massage him, but we are CERTAIN she knew plenty about his revolting activities. She’s been DEAD QUIET about the subject, but finally when forced to speak about Harvey she didn’t condemn him, but vaguely remarked “We’d be naïve to think this behavior only happens in Hollywood.” Did Heidi cover up for Weinstein?

HARVEY WEINSTEIN LOST IT OVER TOPLESS MEG RYAN

Meg Ryan might be feeling a tiny bit self-conscious since the news leaked out that Harvey Weinstein was obsessed with her. A female producer admitted that she was at a screening of Meg’s 2006 film “In The Cut” with Weinstein and she never forgot it. Meg always had a “no nudity “ clause in her contracts and this was the first film where she took her clothes off. Weinstein was reportedly very excited to see Meg topless and he was panting and making strange noises, among other things…

GLORIA STEINEM HAS HARVEY WEINSTEIN FIGURED OUT

Our no-nonsense feminist idol Gloria Steinem just made some pertinent comments in an interview with Elle.com about Harvey Weinstein, Hugh Hefner etc. Read the entire article HERE.

Meanwhile, this is our favorite Gloria paragraph:
“The fact is we have a president who is a sexual harasser and was clearly [recorded] on tape admitting that; it shows that a third of the country still thinks this is either inevitable or okay, including 51 percent of white women [with college degrees]. I don’t want to overgeneralize, but these are women who are dependent on a man’s income and men’s identities, and they think there’s no choice. They think all men are like this. And their fathers were like this, probably. I think they looked at Hillary and said, ‘How dare she? She’s just a woman like me. How dare she aspire?’”

GEORGINA CHAPMAN HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE HARVEY WEINSTEIN – BUT IS IT TOO LATE?

As the humiliating sexual harassment charges against Harvey Weinstein increased daily, Hollywood wondered why his wife Georgina Chapman was dead silent for so long. Was she actually considering “standing by her man” like Hillary Clinton – or was she plotting a clean departure? If she DID stick around, it would certainly destroy her Marchesa clothing business and financially ruin her partners. The fact that she married such a revolting and wealthy man casts accurate aspersions on her OWN character that will be difficult to live down. Of course she KNEW, and didn’t care until he GOT CAUGHT.

DID ROSE MCGOWAN’S ACCUSATIONS DRIVE BEN AFFLECK TO DRINK?

It sure looks that way. No sooner did Ben Affleck, a close buddy of Harvey Weinstein, come out and announce in a lengthy tirade that the allegations against Harvey “made him sick” and were “unacceptable,” than Rose McGowan called him a bold-faced LIAR. She tweeted that Ben knew ALL ABOUT Weinstein’s sexual shenanigans and harassment of women and tolerated it for years. Nice work, Rose. As for Ben – he spent the afternoon at his LA recovery center….

WHAT ABOUT THE WOMEN WHO LIKED HARVEY WEINSTEIN?

Really caught in the middle of a horrible scandal are the women – mostly actresses- who seemed to LIKE predator Harvey Weinstein because he helped their careers? (Whether they paid a high price for that help is not known) For instance, Anne Hathaway was Weinstein’s DARLING for a few years and Renee Zellweger and Cate Blanchett owe him bigtime for their careers. And what about Weinstein’s WIFE Georgina Chapman, co-designer of Marchesa? Harvey made SURE all the Miramax stars above, and many more, dressed in Marchesa with the help of his friend, stylist Rachel Zoe. He put Marchesa on the map. Will any of these women dare to speak out in any way?

CAN MADONNA DIRECT BETTER THAN SHE CAN ACT?

Madonna is relieved since Harvey Weinstein bought the distribution rights for her movie called “W.E.” about a modern woman obsessed with the Duchess of Windsor. However, people who’ve seen it have given it mixed reviews – some saying it has more style than substance. One observer compared it to a Chanel perfume ad. Which is not a bad thing – the period wardrobe (some of it by Galliano) and sets are said to be quite sumptuous for a small budget film. But the script, written by Madonna and her friend Alek >Keshishian is somewhat confusing. Whether Madonna likes it or not, Harvey Weinstein is recutting the movie to make it more palatable to viewers. (Above, Madonna is directing Abbie Cornish)
