WHAT’S BAD ABOUT SHARON OSBOURNE LEAVING THE TALK

First of all, we don’t necessarily think Sharon Osbourne is a racist – that important word is tossed around much too freely these days. However we DO think Sharon was wrong to defend the obnoxious Piers Morgan. Sure he – and everyone else – has a right to their OPINION. But we don’t have to LIKE him calling Meghan Markle a liar, among other things. His personal vendetta against her should be kept personal. We also didn’t like Sharon BLAMING producers and showrunners for “blindsiding” her. She said what she said. For many years we have covered Ozzie and Sharon, and all sources indicated that she is basically NOT a nice person, and like Morgan, sometimes feeds her own ego by demeaning others. (We totally BELIEVE Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini’s comments about Sharon.) She has always also been quite vulgar in her language (remember all the bleeps on the Osbournes reality show?) We were surprised that she could tone herself DOWN sufficiently for The Talk. Now she’s leaving the show and we have two complaints: #1 -Is she really being paid TEN million dollars to leave? That sounds SO wrong!
#2- The Talk has been slipping alarmingly in the ratings for the past year, and might be canceled. If it IS canceled, we predict Sharon will brag that it’s because SHE left!

ALMOST ANY WOMAN HAD A CHANCE WITH WARREN BEATTY

A little trip down memory lane: Warren Beatty was certainly the Brad Pitt of the 50’s through the 80’s in Hollywood and the difference was – Warren was AVAILABLE, and just about any girl who played her cards right could have him. It’s estimated that he slept with 13,000 women. This included movie stars like Natalie Wood and Julie Christie along with more flight attendants than you could possibly imagine. He was simply crazy about women and not all that fussy. Not long ago, CNN host Piers Morgan asked Warren if he would sleep with ANY woman and Beatty said yes, “because you never know how it’s going to turn out.” Nice attitude… (Above, Warren in Bonnie & Clyde)

THE SOLUTION TO MATT LAUER’S PROBLEMS

Matt Lauer’s fierce and determined interview with Paula Deen in which he didn’t let her squirm out of a single important answer, brought to mind the rumor that he might be in line to take over Piers Morgan’s show on CNN. Today is still lagging in the sweeps and it seems like no one will ever let him forget about the Ann Curry firing. So a nighttime interview show might be looking pretty good to Matt about now. And Piers isn’t exactly breaking any sweeps or popularity records either.

YOU CAN KISS LARRY KING GOODBYE

For those of you who gripe relentlessly about Larry King, it looks like he’s finally going to retire to a weekend gig and CNN is offering Piers Morgan an almost 7 million dollar deal to take his place. Larry’s ratings have been steadily going down and the fading network is desperate to revamp their most popular show. Piers, a former tabloid newspaper editor in the UK, is now hosting “America’s Got Talent” and he was also the arrogant winner of the first “Celebrity Apprentice.” We think he’ll be a more astute interviewer than King, yet be equally annoying.
