STEVIE NICKS KNOWS A THING OR TWO ABOUT DRUGS

Stevie Nicks, 69, turned up at the LA Film Festival premier of The Book of Henry because she has a song on the movie’s soundtrack. Every chance she gets, Stevie talks about the dangers of the prescription drug Klonopin. Back in the 80’s when Stevie had just left Betty Ford after beating coke and was feeling great, her advisors pushed her to visit a famous psychiatrist. The guy prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and she ended up gaining 50 pounds “and I lost eight years of my life!” She claims the drug is more deadly than coke and advises friends “Don’t always listen to other people – trust yourself.”

Drugs Robert Downey Jr Substance Abuse

ROBERT DOWNEY JR HAS PLENTY TO BE THANKFUL FOR

In the wake of Charlie Sheen’s disastrous situation, Robert Downey Jr, 50, has a LOT to be thankful for on this holiday. Downey’s career is flourishing – he’s been the highest paid actor in Hollywood for three years straight. But it wasn’t so long ago that he was such a hopeless addict that he made Charlie look like an amateur. Remember when Robert woke up in the WRONG Malibu house? We recall him escaping from yet another rehab and hitchhiking in Venice in his pajamas. He survived multiple rehabilitation centers and STATE PRISON. But through it all, Robert was a likeable guy and everyone hoped for the best. Robert credits his recovery success to marrying the right woman – not something likely to happen to Charlie.(Above, Downey arrived at the Jimmy Kimmel show with considerable fanfare)

Drugs Jessica Castro Married at First Sight Ryan De Nino

‘MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT” PRODUCERS DROPPED THE BALL

A&E’s reality show “Married at First Sight” was irresistible from day one this season. Imagine trusting “professionals” to match you up with a mate and seeing them for the first time at the altar! All that dating discomfort magnified! The girls seemed sincere about finding Mr Right but the guys – not so much. Our favorite couple was Jessica and Ryan – they are both very attractive and seemed smitten from the start. But it ended with a restraining order! Rumors abound that Ryan De Nino presented himself as a successful businessman (with an ego to match) but it turned out he’s just another broke model/ actor who may or may not also be a drug dealer, looking for a break. (Shame on those producers!) It was also reported that his nasty rages and stormy departures were accelerated by his cocaine use! Jessica Castro did her best but eventually he scared her too much with his temper and threats and she filed for a restraining order. Tomorrow night’s “reunion” show might be interesting – or might not.

CHRIS KATTAN: A NIGHT WITHOUT AMBIEN

Ever since we saw that HORRENDOUS mugshot of SNL comic Chris Kattan we’ve been wondering what the heck is going on with him. For the past couple of years he’s had DUIs and skirmishes with the law due to prescription abuse. Once he created havoc in flight and was arrested when he got off a plane – another time he was too high to get ON a flight. A judge sent him to AA meetings that he said he didn’t need. Chris blames it on his “bad back” (that was Chevy Chase’s excuse too.) His latest excuse was “Ambien” although he appeared to be all hopped up. Hopefully that’s behind him – he turned up this weekend at Chateau Marmont looking normal.

Miley Cyrus performed with no holds barred for an enthusiastic audience in Australia – wearing a sequin leotard. She continues to post nudish photos of herself online. Is it a coincidence that Miley suddenly started flashing body parts, including her tongue, and her dancing became raunchy along with her comments, about the same time she started doing drugs with great fanfare? Would the former Disney star be as lewd as she is if she wasn’t high? Just wondering…

Blurred Lines Booze Drugs Paula Patton Robin Thicke

ROBIN THICKE: NOW WE KNOW WHY PAULA DUMPED HIM

Yesterday it became perfectly clear how Robin Thicke’s estranged wife Paula Patton could be completely immune to his heartfelt pleas for reconciliation. He literally BEGGED her to take him back at every opportunity he got. Yet she remained silent and unmoved. (She knew something we didn’t know – yet.) For awhile, people were rooting for him to win her over. “Give him another chance!” Her silence was deafening. Paula kept her distance. Robin went on to make a total fool of himself yesterday in a deposition, bragging about his consumption of liquor and Vicodin while he was putting together his misogynistic “Blurred Lines” album. He was accused of ripping off his favorite Marvin Gaye song, but credited the songwriting to Pharrell Williams, admitting he lied about co-writing the hit. Thicke has gone from hot superstud to LOSER of the year in record time. And Paula never said a word.

Drugs Eating Disorder Peaches Geldof

PEACHES GELDOF DIDN’T STARVE HERSELF TO DEATH

Peaches Geldof’s family obviously WISHES that she succumbed to “extreme dieting” as opposed to drugs and that’s why the theory is being floated around. When a 25 year old mother dies of drug abuse, it implies that she didn’t think about her children or husband. Or didn’t care enough to give up drugs. As tragic as Peaches death is, it’s also selfish. If she dieted herself to death, it would seem like it almost wasn’t her fault. Sadly, Peaches was another undereducated and overindulged celebrity kid with little direction in life – except to have a good time. Drugs are the most likely reason for her early death. And the children will suffer.

Christopher Jones Drugs Thanks for the Memories Wild in the Streets

CHRISTOPHER JONES REALLY WAS WILD IN THE STREETS

We’ll never forget our last glimpse of Christopher Jones. After the release of “Wild in the Streets” the James Dean lookalike became wildly popular. The rebellious teen movie connected with the mods and hippies of the late 60’s. He was a legend until, as they say, he “succumbed to the drug culture of Sunset Strip.” We had a shop on Sunset in the early 70’s and customers frequently reported seeing a dazed Jones lurking around the neighborhood in dirty clothes reportedly sleeping on porches or stairwells. One day we saw him drugged up in filthy jeans, barefoot, with a bottle of baby oil in his back pocket. We feared he’d have a short life. Imagine our surprise when his death at age 72 was reported this weekend. At least he managed to pull himself out of that episode and have a life. Hopefully, it was a good one. Arrested Drugs Justin Bieber Lil' Za Raid

THE POLICE RAID AT JUSTIN BIEBER’S HOUSE WAS NOT A TOTAL LOSS

At first we were outraged by the raid on Justin Bieber’s home because he is accused of throwing eggs at a neighbor’s house. Eleven patrol cars full of deputies presented a warrant and conducted a felony search at 8AM at Justin’s house in Calabasas, while he was held in the garage. Yes, it seemed like a frivolous use of law enforcement resources. Were they looking for empty egg cartons? Happily, the raid was NOT in vain – they arrested one of Justin’s loser buddies named “Lil’ Za” (above) for felony drug possession. So all’s well that ends well.

Drugs DUI Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom Marriage

KHLOE KARDASHIAN IS FEELING SORRY FOR HERSELF

Khloe Kardashian wants the world to know how much she is suffering due to her husband Lamar Odom’s drug problems and recent DUI, not to mention their shaky marriage. She’s feeling sorry for herself and announced dramatically on Twitter, “As much as I wish I were made of steel …I’m not.” She went on to assure her fans that her husbands troubles won’t break her, although they’re coming close to it. In the middle of all this self-pity she took time to post a glamour shot of herself on Instagram, looking suitably melancholy, proving that when you’re a Kardashian, any time is a good time for self-promotion.
