LARRY DAVID IS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT AMY LANDECKER

He may not LOOK like a great catch, But Larry David, 64, is considered one of the most eligible single men of a certain age in Hollywood. An amazingly successful writer and producer, David has tons of money and a sense of humor. After Larry and his wife split up, Martha Stewart was said to have harbored a crush on him, but nothing came of it. Now it appears he is sharing his jokes with an actress he met when she appeared on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” with him. Amy Landecker starred on The Paul Reiser Show last spring, but it was cancelled after two episodes. Larry brought Amy, 42, to the premier of this season’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” in July and according to Page 6, they have been seen together around New York and Los Angeles.

VICTORIA BECKHAM’S DILEMMA: HOW TO LOOK GOOD IN FLAT SHOES

The fact that Victoria Beckham is having back problems takes a back seat to the fact that she CANNOT WEAR HIGH HEELS! Victoria has a slipped disc that her recent pregnancy made worse and her doctor advised her NOT to further jeopardize her aching back by wearing heels. Next month she has to be at New York’s Fashion week for the first time wearing flat shoes. She was seen wearing pair of Amy Winehouse style ballet flats when she went out with her husband David recently, but she’s worried about Fashion Week. (She’s going to look very short!) Fortunately she has friends in high places and Christian Louboutin is designing some flat shoes just for her – with red soles, of course.

LINDSAY LOHAN’S EGO IS OUT OF CONTROL

How greedy can Lindsay Lohan and her lawyers get? Imagine her filing a lawsuit because rapper Pitbull used her name in the lyrics of his #1 hit song ”Give Me Everything.” Lohan claimed Pitbull “used her name for commercial gain.” The line he sang was “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan” meaning he was in charge of his life now. Does anybody really think people bought this record because her name was mentioned? We agree with Pitbull, who says he thought he was doing her a favor. Apparently she doesn’t deserve one.

IS THE JANET JACKSON SECRET BABY MYSTERY FINALLY SOLVED?

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Enquirer’s front page story claiming Janet Jackson’s secret son with James DeBarge has been identified as Omer Bhatti. Janet was 18 in 1984 and establishing her TV career on “Diff’rent Strokes” and “Good Times” when she suddenly married musician James DeBarge. DeBarge’s mother Etterlene DeBarge swears that Janet had a secret baby in 1984 when she “disappeared” to Europe for a few months. Janet told her husband she miscarried and the marriage was annulled in 1985. Etterlene thinks the baby was adopted in Norway, but he suddenly reappeared in 1996 when he was 12 and moved to Neverland. Michael’s father spread the rumor that Omer was the result of a one night stand Michael had in Norway (How laughable is THAT!) Now Etterlene is demanding a DNA test to find out if Omer is really her grandson! She wants the truth and so do we!

KRIS HUMPHRIES: YOU HAVE SEEN YOUR FUTURE

All Kris Humphries has to do is look at the People magazine cover photo of his wedding to Kim Kardashian in order to guess what his future will hold. He’s the disappearing man! Sure, you need a groom to rake in the bucks for an eight million dollar bling infested wedding, but in the end, he’s not really all that important – just an accessory. The Karashian steamroller of publicity will carry on and Kris will find himself shuttled into the background- sort of like his family who flew home from the wedding, economy class.

Is there a better wife and mother in Hollywood than Jennifer Garner? She dotes on her two kids with husband Ben Affleck and now she’s expecting their third. Apparently Ben still gets his fair share of attention. Jennifer is in charge of keeping Ben’s back smooth! Ben doesn’t have a lot of hair on his head, but his back has way too much and if he waxes he get irritated red bumps. So Jennifer dutifully shaves Ben’s back for him! (We don’t think Jennifer Lopez would have been so accommodating.)

BILLY BOB THORNTON IS “TRAUMATIZED BY MEDIOCRITY”

Billy Bob Thornton had a private reading of his new book (yes, the one that might or might not strike fear in the heart of his ex-wife Angelina Jolie) – he read excerpts from the book to a group of his friends who found it very entertaining. One buddy of his presented him with a gift – a t-shirt that said “TRAUMATIZED BY MEDIOCRITY.” Billy Bob was so delighted by the shirt that he HAD to know where it came from (JGerard/“Peace Gallery” on Melrose Avenue) and he plans to visit the store and buy more. MOVE OVER DARLING, DORIS DAY IS RELEASING A NEW ALBUM

We couldn’t pass up this bit of nostalgic news. 87 year old Doris Day has just released her first album in 17 years called “My Heart.” Good for HER! It’s a personal collection of songs that reflect her love for her late son Terry Melcher and her animals. Music producer/songwriter Terry produced several of the songs before he died in 2004. Doris was a huge boxoffice star in the 1960’s, but when her husband Marty Melcher died in 1968, she discovered that he had squandered all her money and left her deeply in debt. No wonder she prefers animals. Sony released this recent photo of Doris with her dog Duffy to promote the album.
