Here’s something you don’t see very often – Kim Kardashian wearing cargo pants and Ugg boots! Give her a hoody and she could be mistaken for any girl at the mall. You forget how petite she is because she is so rarely out and about in flat shoes.
Badmouthing her deceased plastic surgeon Dr Frank Ryan is not enough for Heidi Montag. Now she’s planning to sue his estate for “negligence.” Exactly what kind of deal Ryan made with Heidi for her procedures and resulting mutual publicity is not known. When Ryan was alive, she loved and defended his work, but when he died something changed, along with her mood. Suddenly she was VERY unhappy with her looks. Ryan’s family won’t be happy to hear that she probably has a good case against him.
MTV’s glamorization of defiantly ignorant pregnant teens on “16 and Pregnant” has been grating on our nerves ever since we heard teens were TRYING to get pregnant in hopes of becoming reality TV stars. Finally they’re trying to level the playing field by presenting a teen abortion. The episode features a pregnant teen who already has a year old baby, and her decision to abort. MTV is very nervous about offending pro-lifers (although they’ve been repulsing everybody else all along) so they scheduled the show called “No Easy Decision” to air at 11:30 at night. We’d rather see this series glorifying ingnorant fame whores aborted – off the air.

We don’t think the audience at the halftime show at the Florida State vs University of Connecticut game at XL Center in Hartford gave this one man show NEARLY enough love. The act is billed as “Christopher from Las Vegas.” Some people don’t know a great thing when they see it.
Dustin Hoffman and his son Jake bonded at the Lakers game on Christmas day. Dustin is relieved that Jake’s acting career is moving along nicely – he’s currently filming a movie with Keanu Reeves “Generation Um…” about a day in the life of three people in Los Angeles with plenty of sex and drugs. When Jake’s not acting he sometimes DJ‘s at clubs around town.
Gold medalist Michael Phelps was ALL OVER the Miss California pageant at the Riviera hotel in Palm Springs last month and he had the time of his life flirting with many of the contestants. He had a full backstage pass so the swim champ could prowl all around the event. Besides dating beauty queens, Phelps has become somewhat addicted to beauty contests. He loves everything about them and can’t get enough of them, so he arranges to attend as many as possible. The girls never fail to give him a warm reception.

Glee star Jane Lynch and her spouse Dr Lara Embry brought Lara’s two children to the Grove Monday for some shopping and a movie. While they waited for their car, the younger daughter read them quotes from the book “Weird But True: 300 Outrageous Facts” (It’s a National Geographic publication that reveals facts like “A bat can eat 300 insects in one night”) – the women reacted accordingly.
Richard Chamberlain agrees with us – and with Rupert Everett – that leading male actors in Hollywood (or anywhere else) should NOT come out as gay. Chamberlain came out at the age of 69 when he was too old for romantic roles and he advises younger actors to keep quiet about their sexual preference. Rupert Everett regrets coming out at the age of 30 because leading roles dried up and now he spends much of his time writing. Chamberlain made a point when he told The Advocate “Look what happened with Prop 8 – don’t pretend we’re suddenly accepted.” Let’s face it – would Rob Pattinson have all those fans drooling over him if he were openly gay?
Prince has become smitten with the talents of American Ballet Theater’s rare black soloist Misty Copeland and he wants her to perform with him as often as possible. It all started last year when he selected the exquisite ballerina to dance in his “Crimson and Clover” video (above.) She did, and now he’s coaxed her into performing live with him at concerts at Madison Square Garden and other east coast venues. Misty, 28, is flattered, but does she know this is how Prince, 52, recruits girlfriends? Usually he promotes his girlfriends careers, but Misty doesn’t need any help – she’s extremely successful. Prince’s present girlfriend and protege, Bria Valente (AKA Brenda Fuentes) should consider herself warned. (Personally, we find the video too psychedelic and it doesn’t do Misty justice.)
Jessica Simpson asked Willie Nelson to perform at her upcoming wedding and to no one’s surprise, he said yes. Jessica and Willie have been collaborating since she went “country” in 2007 and recorded Nancy Sinatra’s ”These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.” Plans are definitely being made, so it looks like the wedding will actually happen.
