GARY SINISE IS HELPING SEVERELY WOUNDED VETERANS

Today actor Gary Sinise became a hero in our eyes. We learned about his fund-raising work for “Building Homes For Heroes.” Now here’s a cause that really MEANS something. They build customized “smart homes” for severely wounded veterans – particularly multiple amputees. They just handed the keys to a new house in Temecula to Afghanistan veteran Cpl. Juan Dominguez, a triple amputee. The organization aims to build a home for EVERY multiple amputee veteran so they can resume their lives. He comes from a military family and after Gary played a veteran who lost both legs in “Forrest Gump”, he got involved with veterans causes. This particular cause (they’ve completed almost 20 homes) is so genuine and heart-wrenching that we have to admire Gary and we urge you to think about contributing.

WHEN HEIDI KLUM FINALLY SPEAKS, SHE TELLS THE TRUTH

We’ve never been huge Heidi Klum fans (we find her a bit stiff on Project Runway) but since she decided to divorce Seal (whom we never liked) we appreciate her more every day. Her behavior and attitude has been impeccable when it came to the split and it’s apparent she really DOES care about her children’s feelings and not just her own. Months after the separation, she was photographed looking chummy with her bodyguard Martin Kristen and Seal leaped at the chance to belittle her. He came to regret his hasty “fornicating with the help” comments and apologized. Now Heidi has admitted she DOES have feelings for Martin and has trusted him with her family for four years. She honestly says she doesn’t know where the relationship will go, if anywhere. What we learned to admire about Heidi is she’s quiet when she should be, and doesn’t LIE.

JOHNNY DEPP RETURNS TO SUNSET STRIP

Johnny Depp is redeeming himself in the eyes of his fans by being generous to his exgirlfriend Vanessa Paradis and buying her and their children a house in Los Angeles. The 4.4 million dollar Mulholland Drive mansion has 5,800 sq ft and all the frills including a pool. Johnny, who seems not as enchanted by France as he once was, owned a mansion above Sunset Strip for years before he started a family. It’s likely he’s found another hillside place for himself, not far from his kids Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 9. He’s been seen several times on Sunset – occasionally jamming with bands at clubs, and not long ago at Pink Taco.

Kelly Osbourne has been taking a lot of flak for her dyed grey hair (she lost her Material Girl job because she looked too mature) but apparently she has at least ONE admirer: Adam Lambert! Adam and Kelly were the only young people to show up at Fashion Week in New York with grey hair and we wonder if they’ll start a trend. Every once in awhile Lady Gaga wears a grey wig, but you couldn’t call her committed to the color.

Lourdes Leon turns sweet 16 next month and you can bet she’s giving her mother a hard time. Health conscious Madonna couldn’t have been happy when Lourdes was photographed SMOKING on the street a few months ago. In spite of that nasty habit, Lourdes has already grown much taller than her mother. Certainly Madonna remembers when SHE couldn’t live without a cigarette, so how angry can she be with her daughter? Lourdes has incorporated a cross into her outfit- don’t know how that works with Kabbalah.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo may provide a lot of laughs for the viewers, but do they realize what this ragtag family is costing them? Last week the National Enquirer established that every adult in the family – which includes a different father for each of June “Mama” Shannon’s daughters and June herself- has served time in prison! June can’t remember who the father of her 12 year old is. The sad truth is – WE, the American taxpayers, are supporting all these people and their revolting behavior! June collects welfare and child support for her four daughters and was thrilled when her 17 year old added another baby to the family because that means MORE government assistance! This multi-generational family of welfare losers is a horrible example of what our government is doing wrong and they are being celebrated on TV! They have no incentive to clean up, study, or get a job! The family’s Georgia neighbors say “These people aren’t rednecks – they’re white trash!”

Looking more like his Danny Zuko character from “Grease” than his Edna Turnblad character from “Hairspray,” John Travolta had a hipster moment in Paris with his wife Kelly Preston. Ever since gay sex allegations started multiplying in the US, John has been keeping Kelly on an extended vacation as far away as possible. His lawyer keeps denying everything, but seeds of doubt have been sewn. The pilot Doug Gotterba, who claims to have had a six year affair with him says that after John married Kelly he admitted he preferred men. Still, Kelly manages to keep a smile on her face.

KEIFER SUTHERLAND SUFFERED AN UNFORTUNATE EPISODE OF FACE-SQUEEZING

If there’s anyone you can count on for falling “off the wagon” spectacularly at regular intervals – it’s Keifer Sutherland. According to Mike Walker at the National Enquirer, the “24” actor got playful at the posh Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood after imbibing heavily at the bar. He started randomly grabbing puzzled people by the cheeks and pushing their faces into distorted shapes and then laughing hysterically at the goofy results. Eventually one irritated guy not only resisted, he threatened to punch Keifer in the face, and the giggling actor finally backed off.
