Jennifer Garner is well aware of her husband Ben Affleck’s predilections. He loves to gamble – and poker is his passion. She doesn’t particularly want him wandering off to play in poker tournaments or weekending in Las Vegas. So she’s decided to indulge Ben’s hobby by turning a spare room in their new Brentwood home (still under construction) into a playroom for Ben and his buddies. Ben’s new poker room will resemble the casino at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Soon Ben won’t have to fly to Las Vegas to play poker- he can just walk downstairs.

its about getting out of the house away from them. Obviously he isn’t happy. Time for a divorce, this so called marriage is over.
While she’s at why doesn’t Jen indulge Ben’s other predilections, should also get some waitresses from Scores to serve Ben and his buddies beer and install some cameras to make sure he doesn’t cheat again.
Ben always looks miserable except when he is with his daughter.
If you are building a playroom to try and keep your husband at home, something isn’t right with you or your marriage. It’s pretty sad that Jennifer doesn’t trust Ben in vegas with his friends, who would want to be married to someone like that. Poor Ben.
Even though she’s a serial cheater (she dumped her husband Scott Foley for Michael Vartan, then dumped Vartan for Affleck) she’s still too good for him. Grow up Ben. Your career sucks but at least your wife still loves you.
I have always thought that Ben was not marriage material. In his mind, he will always lust after poker parties, strippers, carousing, etc. He probably is as envious as hell of George Clooney. Maybe he is gay as George, too.
Ben and George are just shallow-minded pretty boys. Keeping him in the house playing poker will not solve their underlying problems.
Building a poker room is no different than men with garages full of tools. Just different hobbies. I see nothing wrong with having a game room. Everyone on this board is so bitter.

sounds desperate, but it won’t work . Ben hasn’t looked happy since he was forced to marry garner. Once a cheater/alcoholic/gambler always. When not indulging in his vices he will look miserable. She needs to just let him go, you can’t change people and he never committed emotionally to her.
And having another kid is a big mistake if she thinks it’s gonna make him grow up.

I always found her to be a boring woman that wanted him no matter what, well guess what she got him alright. It just baffles me how women choose to make themselves so unhappy.She should have been content with what she had in the past, but she chose ambition and slept her way to the middle and she is now paying for it.
Last week she chased him to NYC only to continue to be ignored by ben.

I would never hook up with a serial cheater/serial gambler. These things are deeply imbedded in him and it’s doubtful if he will change. Once she starts nagging him (and she has) he just takes off for a while.
He needs professional help. He has promised many times to quit gambling and broke his promise every time and lost untold thousand$. Who would want him; he is pompous, thinks he is God’s gift to women, and has no career.
Jen thought she caught a great prize when she caught Ben. Couldn’t she see that he has a restless spirit and is a spoiled brat. Ben was on SNL last week and reminded me that he is not a good actor. He did a Keith Olberman impression that looked great but sounded like Andy Rooney. And he could barely get through his 3 minute opening monologue without screwing it up.

I dont know who got the short stick in this union, she was always a loser to me and now both their careers have tanked. I agree with the comment of ben looking on very adoringly at previous gf’s and she is a complete let down from jlo and gwyneth. she finally got ben but the one that got got was her, she is stuck with out a career and saddled with kiddies, she wasnt much in the looks dept to begin with and now even what she did have is diminishing.

Ben is verry good friends with John Kerry’s daughter, last year when he was in New York he spent time with her.
Ben has expressed an interest in politics. He’d be perfect, since he is a well-known cheater, has low morals, a perpetual stupid look on his face, and a low I.Q. Since his career has tanked, I say he should go for it.
