Come to think of it, every time we’ve seen Ashlee Simpson lately she’s been carrying a big shopping bag or large object blocking her midsection. That’s not the way to conceal a pregnancy! They’ve only been married since August but Ashlee, 30, and Evan Ross, 26, said they wanted kids right away and they’re getting their wish. No time for honeymooning – baby is on the way. Ashlee already has a son Bronx, 6, with her first husband Pete Wentz.

Zoe Saldana had no choice but to finally admit she’s having TWINS because this big pink dress is a dead give-away! She and her Italian husband Marco Perego turned up at the Hollywood Costume Opening Party at the new Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Museum in LA. Zoe’s been avoiding baby questions, but she finally opened up and admitted she’s thrilled to be having twins. She and Marco were secretly married last year.

LIV TYLER: INSPIRED BY ELEANOR ROOSEVELT?

It’s a good thing Liv Tyler has a beautiful face because from the neck down she looks like Eleanor Roosevelt. Eleanor was a brilliant first lady but she was never a fashion icon. The recent 14 hour PBS documentary “The Roosevelts” (which we LOVED!) taught us everything we might not have known about Eleanor. She frequently wore dark pattern printed dowdy crepe dresses with no shape. Liv’s lace up shoes almost resemble the sensible black clodhoppers Eleanor wore. Of course, Liv is pregnant, so all is forgiven.

ZOE SALDANA WILL HAVE A VERY BUSY 2015

Four months pregnant Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco Perego got a craving for pizza so they grabbed lunch at Mozza before shopping at James Perse. (It’s cute that he carries her handbag!) Zoe is rumored to be expecting twins and she wore a skirt with an elastic waist so she could eat comfortably. After the babies are born early next year, she starts filming three back-to-back Avatar movies.

Zoe Saldana is the perfect example of what to wear on the red carpet when you’re pregnant. Hot on the heels of the rumor that she and her husband Marco Perego are expecting TWINS, Zoe showed up at the London premier of Guardians of the Galaxy (you couldn’t PAY us to sit through that movie, but it will probably be a big hit) looking exquisite. Her sheer and breezy blue summer dress couldn’t be more appropriate and flattering. If pregnant women would stop stuffing themselves into spandex, the world would be a better place.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes take themselves very seriously and go out of their way to avoid the intrusive press. Consequently, unless a paparazzi photo pops up of the couple together – we don’t know their relationship status. It’s been many months since Eva and Ryan have been anywhere together. There were reports of problems between them when they were filming “Lost River “ last year, with Ryan directing. The movie, described as a nightmarish fantasy inspired by David Lynch, was screened at Cannes this year in May and got booed by the audience. Eva, who costarred with Christina Hendricks, was conspicuously ABSENT. Because she was pregnant or because she and Ryan were on the outs? The big question now is – will they raise this child together?

WHO WILL LIL’ KIM’S BABY GIRL GROW UP TO LOOK LIKE?

Pregnant Lil’ Kim is taking a lot of flak for registering at expensive places and soliciting her fans to buy her baby gifts. (And indeed, she should.) She wouldn’t mind receiving an $8000 stroller in two colors but so far the fans aren’t rushing to buy. Kim will admit nothing, but her baby girl’s father is rumored to be Kim’s ex-boyfriend – New York rapper Mr Papers. (see photo above) The real dilemma here is that Kim has had prodigious amounts of plastic surgery – we don’t even remember what she used to look like. Her little girl will probably expect to resemble her mother as she grows up, but in this case, she certainly WON’T. Might be confusing…

Although she DOES look voluptuous enough to be around 3 months along. And it might be the best thing that’s ever happened to her. When she and Ryan Reynolds split, Scarlett went through a dark period of time – she seemed unhappy and unsociable. She was even desperate enough to have a fling with Sean Penn! Now 29, she seems to have come to her senses. A beautiful actress who’s told how awesome she is every day, needs the dose of healthy reality that a baby brings. Scarlett will have someone else to think about, and not dwell on herself. We’re happy for her.

STACY KEIBLER GOT OVER GEORGE CLOONEY IN A BIG WAY

To her credit, Stacy Keibler didn’t waste any time finding her own happiness after George Clooney cut her loose after two years. Like all of George’s girlfriends, it was fun while it lasted, but eventually it became apparent that George MEANT it when he said he didn’t want to get married. And of course she left the relationship with more fame and money than she had when it started. Stacy resurrected a friendship with tech millionaire Jason Pobre and they went to Burning Man together last summer – she called it “a life changing experience.” Now they are married and she’s happily pregnant less than a year after the George break-up. Nicely done, Stacy.
