Just when it appeared that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from Jersey Shore had his last gasp of fame, he got another reality show. Sorrentino cleaned up in more ways than one, while filming Jersey Shore. He raked in tons of money (5 million in 2010) making personal appearances, doing workout videos and endorsements. After boozing it up on the show for several seasons he went to rehab for prescription meds. His new show ”The Sorrentinos,” for TVGN is all about his family – including his mother, sister and two brothers – and their life in New Jersey. So his fifteen minutes are not yet up…

JERSEY SHORE’S PAULY D IS NOT SHIRKING HIS RESPONSIBILITIES

It turns out former Jersey Shore party boy Pauly D, is more of a stand up guy than we thought. A one night fling with a cocktail waitress resulted in his first child and after a DNA test validated the fact, Pauly has been supporting the five month old baby girl. Now Pauly hopes to take the mother to court in Las Vegas because he wants full custody of the child – he thinks she’s not a fit mother. (She’s 25, and according to TMZ, also has another child.) Snooki and her fiancé Jionni LaValle took their son Lorenzo, 1, to the New York zoo to look at some animals. For some reason the Jersey Shore couple looks really good, but extremely short in this photo. Snooki is 4’8” and Jionni is around 5’3” so they are a good match. But will Lorenzo be tiny too?

FURRY FRIENDS ATTEMPT TO LIVEN UP SNOOKI AND JWOWW REALITY SHOW

Jersey Shore seems like it’s in the distant past so we were surprised to see that Snooki and JWoww are filming another season of their own reality show. But now that the girls both have boyfriends and Snooki has a baby, they can’t be roommates, and the whole premise has changed. They are no longer best friends out on the town looking for love. Those wild single days are history. To make the show more interesting, their dogs have been given a more prominent role.

Jersey Shore’s Snooki must be feeling sentimental these days because she’s been posting vintage photos of herself. The most recent is this picture of Snooki at her Junior Prom.
This is her caption:
“Here I am at my Junior prom! I went with one of my best guy friends! Best Prom Ever! My dress was so from JC Penny! No Shame. Such a bargain shopper.”
We like her smile BEFORE she got those new Hollywood teeth. She was undeniably cute in high school, but her compulsive tanning was already out of control.

Snooki has come a long way since “Jersey Shore” debuted and she became an overnight sensation six years ago. Along with fame she earned plenty of money and we don’t think it’s done her a lot of good. She lost her fresh young look and given herself a makeover: now she has incredibly fake looking teeth (where did she get that dentist?) and stripper eyelashes. Can inflated lips be far behind?

The youngest cast member, Vinny Gaudagnino, 25, was the quiet one. Now it’s HIS turn to shine – according to Deadline.com MTV is producing a reality talk show series “The Show With Vinny,” and he’ll interview celebrities at this family’s Staten Island home. (Did you know he has a college education?) Food and his eccentric family members will be prominently featured. SallyAnn Salsano, who created Jersey Shore, is producing so it looks promising.

JERSEY SHORE: THE CANCELATION WAS OVERDUE

Let’s face it, Jersey Shore should have ended at least two years ago. We happened to like the show, but it has been forced and awkward for the last few seasons. Youthful exuberance and endless partying makes sense for eighteen to twenty three year olds (the spring break crowd) but after that age, life takes over and parents are no longer supporting their kids. After the first few seasons, the Jersey Shore cast was so famous they needed bodyguards to hold back fans and they could no longer interact with strangers at clubs with resulting shenanigans. The show REALLY jumped the shark when The Situation went to rehab and gave up drinking and Snooki got pregnant. Personally, we would like to have seen the gang visit a far-away place like Japan or Malaysia each season and experience the culture shock.

It looks like MTV is ready to follow Jersey Shore’s Snooki through more years of her life, whether she gives up partying or not. Her show “Snooki & JWoww” premiers tonight and just as the roommates sign their lease on their Jersey City apartment, Snooki announces she’s pregnant. So the “Laverne & Shirley “ of 2012 will not go as planned, but it will go. Followed by this summer’s “Jersey Shore” season. MTV will probably film the birth of Snooki’s baby, followed by her marriage to Jionni LaValle. Rumors are circulating that Snooks and Jionni will be living in his parents BASEMENT after that! That can ONLY mean that MTV wants a newlywed series because Snooki has plenty of money for a fancy home. Her fans identify with her as an average girl so she can’t appear to be TOO wealthy.

WHEN HE GETS OUT OF REHAB, THE SITUATION DOESN’T WANT YOU JUDGING HIM

Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is apparently in rehab but his reps insist he is merely “at an undisclosed location for rest and recuperation” due to his grueling schedule. The late Elizabeth Taylor is the only person we know of who would check into a hospital when she was tired. Insiders say Mike has a “too much nightlife” cocaine and sleeping pill problem which is exactly what we expected, and explains his odd behavior. (Could steroids be involved in this also?) He probably doesn’t want to admit it because people will be scrutinizing his indulgences when he gets out, but, hey, it IS good for the upcoming sixth season ratings!
