CHARLOTTE CASIRAGHI AND ATHINA ONASSIS: RICH GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN TOO!

Charlotte Casiraghi (daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco) and her friend Athina Onassis, 26, are buddies on the horse jumping circuit. Athina is the daughter of Christina Onassis and the only surviving descendant of Aristotle Onassis. (It’s nice that she turned out tall and slim because her mother was always tormented by her weight.) Athina married an older, but handsome Brazilian showjumper, and she is raising his two children in Brazil where she is dedicated to a “simple, healthy life,” but she takes the kids to school in a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce.

MADONNA SNUBBED: NO ROYAL WEDDING INVITATION

All that horseback riding and hunting that Madonna did in the English countryside with her then husband Guy Ritchie didn’t get her any closer to the royal family. Even her friendship with Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t open any doors to Buckingham Palace for the ambitious singer. In fact, it’s like she never spent all those years in the UK! Madonna became acutely aware of that fact when her ex Guy Ritchie WAS invited to Prince William and Kate’s royal wedding and she was NOT. It’s like a slap in the face, but the royals apparently never took to Madonna even though she tried her best to fit in. (Note that in photo above, Madonna is even wearing TWEED!)

EINSTEIN IS ON HIS WAY TO HOLLYWOOD!

Little Einstein the miniature horse (20 inches tall on his first birthday,) is becoming quite a celebrity. He appeared on Good Morning America to promote his new book “A Friend for Einstein.” It’s about his search for a little best friend to play with. A portion of the proceeds goes to the ASPCA to care for abandoned horses. Noting that the world has fallen in love with him, Disney wants to make Einstein a movie star! We only hope he leads a long and healthy life.

LITTLE EINSTEIN: 20 INCHES OF HORSE HEAVEN

We’ve harbored a crush on little Einstein, the tiny horse born on a farm in New Hampshire, since he was born a year ago. He’s 20 inches tall and destined to be the tiniest horse alive. Due to the media interest in Einstein, his owners are coming out with a book about him. As adorable as he is, we have powerful reservations about breeding animals to be dwarfs or miniatures. There are many health problems related to miniaturizing – both internal and external – and the tiny creatures might have painfully short lives.

His detractors say he misrepresents himself and actually has little money of his own, and cheated on his wife and many women in his past. Apparently, Nicollette still likes to live dangerously.

When he was still married to his animal activist wife Kim Basinger, he didn’t think animals should be used for entertainment and he testified to the city council that the use of carriage horses in the park should be banned. Michael Jackson’s exwife Debbie Rowe decided NOT to get dressed up and go to his memorial service today at the Staples Center. She had a front row seat reserved for her, but we wonder if she felt awkward running into her children, Prince and Paris, whom she deliberately hasn’t seen in years. (We have a feeling they wouldn’t be thrilled to see HER, either.) Instead Debbie lounged around her ranch in Palmdale wearing her pajama top that says “Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It’s Off To Sleep We Go!” and cared for her horses.

IT'S PONY TIME! AND THIS IS A RARE FIND

The newest celebrity in the UK is a four day old brown foal born on a horse ranch that specializes in rare breeds. The precious little pony is only three feet tall and perfectly proportioned – he’s already romping circles around his mother. What makes this little one special is the fact that the Eriskay Pony is endangered and almost extinct. His birth has been described as “rarer than a giant Panda.” People are driving long distances to take a look at him.
