It’s not even born yet, but Beyonce and Jay Z’s baby already has a celebrity godmother: Gwyneth Paltrow. We knew they were acquainted, but never realized they’ve been such close pals for years. (Beyonce encouraged Gwyneth to sing.) Gwyneth and her husband Chris Martin often travel with Beyonce and her husband. Beyonce admires Gwyneth’s parenting skills so she asked her to be her baby’s godmother and is counting on her for advice.

At last. Someone has figured out what makes Gwyneth Paltrow so consistently annoying. According to writer Keli Goff at TheLoop21.com, the problem is that Gwyneth openly brags “My work ethic is the reason I’m successful. Everything in my life is good because I worked my ass off to get it and maintain it.” Keli brilliantly points out that like a lot of privileged people, Gwyneth is under the delusion that she EARNED everything she has and has the audacity to gloat about it. She’s one of those rich people with rich parents who think HARD WORK got them where they are. In other words, people who were BORN on 3rd base and act like they hit a triple. We suggest you read Keli’s entire satisfying diatribe. Gwyneth should read it too.
Gwyneth Paltrow is taking a lot of heat for releasing a cookbook next spring called ‘”My Father’s Daughter.” It’s her family’s favorite recipes for things like corn chowder, dumplings and pizza. As if SHE would ever consume such delectables! Gwyneth has spent most of her adult life addicted to exercise and AVOIDING food- she’s usually on a macrobiotic diet. Suddenly she wants us to believe she is a gourmet who loves to eat! Ever since she appeared on that PBS show where she traveled to Spain with chef Mario Batali to sample the cuisine (she was very fussy,) she aspires to become a young Martha Stewart. Skinny actress/models are NOT the people you turn to for cooking expertise. Imagine Tori Spelling coming out with a cook book!
It seems Gwyneth Paltrow has cooled her relationship with Madonna, and now she’s cultivating a friendship with Jennifer Aniston. Jen and Gwyneth got to know each other better last November in Morocco (above) when they both attended the opening of the lavish La Mamounia Hotel in Marrakesh. A friend revealed “Gwyneth needs a friend to replace Madonna, and she really likes Jennifer. They actually have a lot more in common, considering they were both in love with Brad Pitt.” (Of course there’s one thing they DON’T have in common – Gwyneth’s devotion to Kabbalah.)
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin frequently have to defend their marriage because they are so INfrequently seen together. They’re still reasonably happily married, but there’s a bump in the road: Gwyneth’s ongoing fascination with Kabbalah has become an issue. She and Madonna are still close friends and Madonna’s life revolves around Kabbalah, so she pulls Gwyneth into all sorts of activities. Chris just isn’t that interested in the cultish religion and it’s causing increased friction in the family.

Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow like to catch up on all the gossip while working off some calories. The girls have plenty to gossip about – Kabbalah, the A-Rod scandal, what Madonna’s wearing on tour, etc. They met up for a power walk in the Hamptons and took Gwyneth’s daughter Apple and Madonna’s little boy David for a ride. Both kids should be walking on their own, but Madonna wants to work her arm muscles.
Chris Martin was his usual unsociable self when he and Gwyneth arrived at LAX after an overseas flight this week. The paparazzi followed them through customs and he became more and more irritable. Finally one malevolent photographer sneered to the uncooperative Coldplay singer “Hey Chris, how does it feel getting Brad’s sloppy seconds?” (Referring to the fact that Gwyneth dated Brad Pitt before she married Chris) Chris LUNGED at the guy and security had to grab him to keep him from throttling the rude snapper. Chris ought to learn to ignore these comments – a violent reaction provides better photos.
Men may drive fast cars but it’s the women who take all the chances in the world of celebrities these days. Gwyneth Paltrow was photographed in Paris wearing these extraordinary shoes. They’re deliciously stylish and maybe eight inches tall. Gwyneth is no fool – note that like Mariah Carey, she has a minder holding her up and helping her keep her balance at all times. A mother of two should NOT fall in her absurdly high shoes and break a leg.

Madonna is putting Gwyneth Paltrow through her paces in the UK – she’s teaching Gwyneth how she disciplines herself every day in the gym. They’ve been friends for years and Madonna credits herself with helping Gwyneth give up smoking. Gwyneth smoked two packs a day until Madonna started pushing her to break the nasty habit.
