In Ben Affleck’s Howard Stern interview he remarked that while he was married to Jennifer Garner and they had three kids, that he felt trapped and would drink too much and fall asleep on the couch. Long after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt confessed that HE would smoke and drink too much and fall asleep on the couch. Both guys were obviously unhappy and didn’t know what to do about it. We’re betting Brad’s marriage to Angelina Jolie ended in a similar way. The DIFFERENCE between Brad and Ben is that Brad carefully chose his words and never mentioned Aniston in a negative way. By saying he felt “trapped” Ben implied that Garner was the cause and we don’t think he meant to. He has always admired and praised his ex-wife.

We remember how uptight and protective Ben Affleck was during his first time around with Jennifer Lopez in the early 2000’s. Jennifer has always been pretty relaxed around the press and paparazzi didn’t bother her too much. But in those days Ben was very macho – or maybe he had something to hide- but he disliked too much attention. It’s interesting how he rekindled his romance with Jennifer with emails. They had kept in touch with occasional emails through the years, but when Jennifer became engaged to Alec Rodriguez, Ben’s emails became bolder and more flirtatious. Jennifer responded and soon they were testing their feelings for each other. That surprising trip they took together to Montana sealed the deal. Now Ben can barely conceal his happiness and he finds himself hugging and kissing Jennifer all over the place. Even at a Lakers game they can’t keep their hands off each other. Ben has calmed down and he’s grateful for his second chance. It seems like real love.

It’s been a significant week for Ben Affleck – he’s almost as busy as Jennifer Lopez! Above, Ben and Jennifer are pictured at the NY premier of his film The Last Duel. He co-wrote the script with Matt Damon (their first since Good Will Hunting) and they both star in the film steeped in sexism, about a duel over a woman in 14th century France. To their credit, Matt and Ben invited a female writer to collaborate on the script and help write the pivotal female character played by Jodie Comer. (FINALLY, men who admit they cannot write realistic female characters!) We LOVE them for that. That same weekend, Ben’s other movie The Tender Bar, directed by George Clooney, premiered in London and Ben couldn’t be there, so George filled in for him.

Ben Affleck appeared to be the perfect son and father today. He took his mother and his three kids, Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9, out for an educational afternoon. The family went to the California Science Center museum in LA. It was probably most interesting to Samuel- right now the museum is featuring an impressive display of LEGO art which includes hundreds of sculptures of full size animals and recreated art like the Mona Lisa. It’s nice to take a day off from J.Lo and spend quality time with the kids…

Ben Affleck had quite a busy day. he took time out from looking at multimillion dollar mansions with Jennifer Lopez yesterday and paid a visit to an important place: his rehab of choice- The Canyon in Malibu. Ben has had treatment at the ultra-posh 240 acre rehab three times – in 2018 he stayed for forty days. The center offers considerable relapse prevention help for clients and apparently Ben doesn’t want problems now that he’s back in action with Jennifer. Later that day, Ben and Jen took Jennifer’s 13 year old daughter Emme to dinner at Craig’s.

On a 100 degree day, Ben took his son Samuel, daughter Seraphina, and J.Lo’s daughter Emme to Universal Citywalk for a day of fun and snacks, and Jennifer was nowhere in sight. That’s LOVE! Whoa! SOMEBODY is looking mighty relaxed and comfortable and right at home on Jennifer Lopez’s balcony in Miami! Of course, that SOMEBODY is Ben Affleck. She probably wore him out at the gym today. He hasn’t been working out regularly for awhile and it’s not easy keeping up with J.Lo. Ben is sprawled outside smoking a cigarette and enjoying a cold drink. If this second-time-around relationship lasts awhile, we’re betting health conscious Jennifer will find a way to get Ben to stop smoking…

Newly single Ben Affleck seemed to be in a playful mood as he picked up a heap of packages delivered to his house on Saturday. Notice that he did not stop drinking his Dunkin’ Donuts coffee while he retrieved the parcels. Ben either goes OUT for Dunkin’ Donuts coffee or has it delivered every morning. Since he and Ana de Armas split, it has been coffee for one. But insiders say it MIGHT not be over between them for good. They are still friendly and Ana is shopping for a place to live in West Hollywood because she has several movies lined up filming here. Her home base is still Cuba where her family lives.
