PRISON CHANGED CAMERON DOUGLAS

Ex-convict Cameron Douglas, 38, reminds us of Riz Ahmed’s character in The Night Of. When he went into prison around 8 years ago, he was kind of pasty looking with glasses. When he was paroled he was a whole new person- all muscle and covered with tattoos. Has he changed INSIDE as much as he did outside? He’s quite a ladies man – while incarcerated his then-girlfriend smuggled drugs to him and his female lawyer did also. That got him more time. In June he tested positive for marijuana. He’s been out for a year and already hooked up with a yoga instructor who is pregnant with his child.

ELISABETH MOSS AND DONALD TRUMP BOTH HATE THE MEDIA

We loved Elisabeth Moss in Mad Men, and she’s getting a lot more love for A Handmaid’s Tale, but the black cloud of Scientology dims our admiration. A lifetime member of the organization, in 2014 Elisabeth swore she would never talk about Scientology again. Flash forward and an astute Instagram fan who loves her Handmaid series, asked Moss if the show’s plot made her think twice about Scientology – specifically because the totalitarian country on the series believed that all outside sources of news were wrong and evil – just like Scientology does. Moss responded, but totally ducked the comparison question at hand and instead gushed that SHE believes in religious freedom and equal rights. (?) Not one word about the press. When it comes to lack of respect for legitimate news, maybe Scientologists have a lot in common with our President…

DIANE KEATON COOLS OFF WITH PINKBERRY

It’s a warm and sunny day in August and as usual Diane Keaton defies the weather by wearing layers of mostly black, topped off with a wool sweater tied around her waist. Only her toes are exposed to the sun! She’s cooling off with some Pinkberry yogurt in Beverly Hills. Right now Diane is filming Book Club with Jane Fonda and Mary Steenburgen – it’s about four women whose lives are changed after they read “Fifty Shades of Grey” for their book club.

Kenny Loggins Long Time No See

KENNY LOGGINS STILL KNOWS HOW TO CUT LOOSE

Never paid all that much attention to Kenny Loggins of Loggins & Messina, but the 69 year old singer/songwriter performed in New York recently and he looks darn good. We didn’t realize he’s made a fortune by doing movie soundtracks for films like Top Gun and Footloose. In fact, he earned the title King of the Movie Soundtrack – not a bad way to make a living!

IS DRAKE’S FATHER A PIMP?

If his style is any indication, Drake’s father Dennis Graham is at the very least, an aspiring pimp. He’s a musician in his own right and recently released a music video featuring him in a white suit, seated on a throne, surrounded by beautiful young women. Is he competing with his successful son? Eccentricities aside, Dennis and Drake ARE apparently quite close. We wonder if Drake will look like his dad in 25 years….

David Banda Madonna Soccer

THIS IS NOT MADONNA’S NEW BOY TOY!

At first glance, one might assume that Madonna has a new young boyfriend, but this good looking guy is actually her son David Banda. How quickly he has grown up! So tall – and he’s only 11 years old! Madonna and David stopped for a friend’s wedding in Italy on their was to Lisbon, Portugal. David has been accepted into a special school there – the prestigious Benfica Academy. The school nurtures and trains talented young soccer players to become professionals. David has come a long way from Malawi.

Chrissy Metz Fashion This Is Us

CHRISSY METZ WEARS WHATEVER SHE LIKES

When it comes to fashion, This Is Us star Chrissy Metz faces plenty of challenges. It’s not easy to find appealing and stylish clothing in large sizes. And busy actresses need a LOT of outfits! She startled many people with her latex dress at the MTV Awards but it was NOT tight and actually fit her well. She obviously loves clothes and that makes her continuing weight struggle even more painful. It was rumored that it was written into her series contract that her character had to lose weight but Chrissy says that’s NOT true. Happily, she DID acquire a boyfriend a few months ago – a camera man on her show.

Katie Holmes Suri Cruise Tom Cruise

DO TOM AND SURI CRUISE HAVE A SECRET SYSTEM OF COMMUNICATION?

When we heard that Tom Cruise broke his ankle doing another stunt on the London set of Million Impossible 6, several questions came immediately to mind. Did Suri, 11, call her dad to console him? Does she EVER speak to him? Tom‘s been living in London and has not been seen in the company of his daughter for years. Suri’s mom Katie Holmes has been declared a “suppressive person “ by Scientologists so Tom can’t have anything to do with her. Do you suppose Tom and Suri have secret meetings and conversations that Scientology knows nothing about?

THE GOOD SIDE OF ANGELINA AND BRAD’S DIVORCE

There’s one person who can’t help being happy about Angelina Jolie’s split with Brad Pitt and THAT is Ray Donovan star Jon Voight. Now that Angelina has lost her best and perhaps ONLY friend (Brad) she is forced to turn to her relatives for help. Her brother James Haven moved in with her and helps coordinate things with the kids and their nannies. Now that she’s living in LA, Angelina has allowed her somewhat estranged father Jon Voight back into her life. (We’re guessing that it helps that he’s now on a hot TV show.) Recently Jon and Angie brought Vivienne for an afternoon of pottery decorating at Color Me Mine.

Deadpool 2 Death Stunt Double Stunts

DEADPOOL 2 IS LIVING UP TO ITS TITLE

The movie Deadpool 2 could not have been more aptly named. TWO stunt people are dead, and for no good reason. Why isn’t the director David Leitch being called out as responsible for this obviously neglectful situation? Marvel Comics should be ashamed. Leitch and other male directors are pressured to feed the ever-accelerating thirst by their male audience for more and more horrific and mindless violence. Whatever the cost. It’s time to stop and think – is it worth it? We look forward to the filmmakers being held responsible for these two unnecessary deaths.
