MARTHA PLIMPTON: LONG TIME NO SEE!

Martha Plimpton was a hot commodity as a rebellious teen in the 80’s. The Goonies made her a star and the late River Phoenix was her boyfriend for a few years. She’s had a busy career on stage and screen since then, but we don’t see her a lot of her because she lives part-time in London. Longtime activist Martha DID show up with her two adorable dogs to picket Warner Brothers yesterday with other SAG-AFTRA strikers. AND she has a new miniseries for HBO called The Regime, coming out in 2024. No doubt she’s home celebrating today because the strike is OVER!!!

Here’s a blast from the past. SOME of you might remember the 80’s when Michael Pare was one of the hottest actors alive, thanks to his first films, Eddie and the Cruisers and Streets of Fire. Many people thought he was on his way to become the biggest leading man in Hollywood- he was drop-dead gorgeous. Just goes to show – you cannot predict the future. Yes, Michael has been acting steadily SINCE his spectacular debut – in fact he’s made hundreds of films and TV series – mostly not-so-well known, with titles like Pig Killer and They Crawl Beneath. He often plays a detective nowadays. Anyway, we haven’t seen him for years and he turned up at a recent Hollywood event looking healthy and happy…

Donna Mills Jordan Peele Knots Landing Long Time No See Lookin' Good! Nope

DONNA MILLS: THIS IS WHAT 81 LOOKS LIKE!

These photos are bound to cheer up a lot of people – Donna Mills looks fabulous! We didn’t realize it, but the Knots Landing star makes a surprise appearance in Jordan Peele’s scary film Nope. Donna says she was sworn to secrecy and not allowed to reveal that she was in the film before it was released. You might also remember Donna from the Clint Eastwood movie Play Misty For Me. We haven’t seen her for years because she took time off to raise her tall and beautiful adopted daughter Chloe, who is now a successful model and influencer. Donna is deliriously happy to be acting again and she hopes to get roles for glamorous grandmas – not just old ladies…

Daughter Long Time No See Molly Ringwald

MOLLY RINGWALD AND HER PRETTY IN PINK DAUGHTER

Molly Ringwald was an inspiration for many awkward high school teens back in the 80’s and we will never forget her in Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles. She was only 16 herself when she made those films. Now she’s married with three children and she was seen at the American Ballet Theater Fall Gala in New York with her 12 year old daughter Adele. Molly says Adele is so “woke” that she doesn’t want her to see her old movies, which are full of offensive comments. Meanwhile, Adele has such a mature and interesting look that we can imagine her following in mom’s footsteps…

Johnny Mathis Long Time No See

JOHNNY MATHIS: RETIRE? WHO, ME?

Hard to believe, but Johnny Mathis has been touring and recording for 65 years. In fact, the Chances Are singer is the longest running recording artist in the history of Columbia records! Johnny turns 86 this month and he just started his 65 Years of Romance tour that was postponed by Covid. He stays in shape by working out with a trainer five days a week. Johnny’s always been rather quiet and private, so it’s nice to see him having a good time at Craig’s restaurant with friends.

Long Time No See Stevie Wonder Wife

STEVIE WONDER AND THE SUNSHINE OF HIS LIFE

It’s been awhile since we saw Stevie Wonder, 70, out and about in Hollywood – he took his glamorous wife Tomeeka out to dinner. It’s a shame he can’t see her because she looks exceptionally nice in leopard tonight. Stevie and Tomeeka, a former teacher, had a big wedding at the Bel Air Hotel in 2017 and have two kids together. Stevie has always been a busy guy – he has seven other children with four other women and they all got along at the wedding. Ironically, Tomeeka is the same age as Stevie’s oldest child.

Jocelyn Wildenstein Lloyd Klein Long Time No See

LOOK WHO ELSE IS IN MIAMI: JOCELYN WILDENSTEIN AND LLOYD KLEIN

Jocelyn “catwoman” Wildenstein and her fiancé designer Lloyd Klein have been through some ups and downs over the years, but they are still going strong. You recall Jocelyn (nicknamed catwoman because of her plastic surgery) became the World’s Richest Divorcee when she split from her art dealer husband in New York in 1997 – she got a 2 BILLION dollar settlement. Not long after, Jocelyn, now 80, started seeing designer Lloyd, now 54. Lloyd had a fancy couture salon on Beverly Blvd in West Hollywood that Jocelyn often visited. They’ve had a tumultuous relationship with dramatic fights with police involved, but their romance survived and they got engaged in 2017. This week they had lunch together with a friend in Miami, looking happy as ever. We’re guessing SHE paid…

SEAN YOUNG: LONG TIME NO SEE!

Back in the 80’s, former model Sean Young was one of the hottest -and most notorious- stars in Hollywood. She starred in Blade Runner with Harrison Ford and had that famous love scene in a limo with Kevin Costner in No Way Out. But it was her famous feud with James Woods that led to lawsuits and crazy accusations about disfigured dolls left on a doorstep that delighted tabloid journalists and dismantled her promising career. Sean was outspoken, and perhaps before her time, but she was labeled as “unstable” and jobs became scarce. Despite her problems, and a stint on Dr Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, her friends say Sean, 59, has a “good heart,” which is illustrated by her love for animals. She lives in Arizona now with her husband, composer Robert Lujan, and has a houseful of pets.

Long Time No See Tour

KD LANG IS STILL CRAVING – AND TOURING

When KD Lang left LA in 2012, we assumed she moved back to Canada, but in fact, she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she’s been living happily ever after. She always hated being a celebrity – when her Ingenue album (featuring her hit Constant Cravings) was released in 1992, the world swooned, and Madonna wisecracked “Elvis lives, and she’s beautiful!” Rumors of a Madonna/KD Lang romance swirled, but proved to be untrue. Now 57, KD admits she’s not craving to write new songs, but still loves to perform. Above, she’s in the middle of her Ingenue Redux UK tour in which she performs the entire Ingenue album. Long Time No See Meg Tilly Novelist

SO THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED TO MEG TILLY!

Meg Tilly was a successful actress in the 80’s and early 90’s (we loved her in The Big Chill) but then she seemed to drop off the face of the earth. (Her cute sister Jennifer Tilly is now doing more poker tournaments than acting.) It seems Meg became a WRITER – and she just published her SEVENTH novel “Cliff’s Edge.” Meg did some acting in Canada in the early 2000’s but she married another novelist and books are what keep her busy these days. Apparently the cold Canadian climate agrees with her – she is still adorable…
