Ashley Olsen must be planning a trip. Shopping alone, she bought several pieces of modest luggage at Beverly Hills Luggage and had the clerk carry it out to her Cadillac and put it in the trunk. She was parked in the red zone but didn’t get caught. Since she is carrying a $40,000 Hermes CROCODILE BAG, one might think it odd that she buys such plain luggage. But she’s smart – it’s the fancy expensive stuff that ends up lost or missing at the airport.

JAMES BROWN : WE'D RATHER REMEMBER YOU UPRIGHT

We are horrified that James Brown might have inadvertantly started a tasteless trend. Everywhere we looked for the past few days – from online to newspapers to television – we have been greeted by pictures of dead James Brown lying in his casket. Whether we WANTED to see it or NOT! Tame celebrity shows including The Insider showed me, against my will, pictures of James Brown’s dead body.. Since when did it become okay to reveal deceased celebrities laid out in their caskets? At one time only The Enquirer would do such a tasteless thing. We’re sure that James, always fussy about his appearance, would NOT have appreciated this. We’re afraid James has opened he door to a parade of dead celebrities in the future.

If you’ve been wondering what in the world Angelina Jolie bought Brad Pitt – the man who has everything – for Christmas, we’ve got the answer. Clever Angelina knows her man loves modern art – and has, in his collection, a smirking mug shot silkscreen of Steve McQueen done by English artist Russell Young. It’s very Warhol inspired. Since Brad is particularly fond of Young’s colorful work (and so are WE,) Angelina bought him two more prints from the celebrity mug shot collection. In our opinion she selected the cream of the crop – Sid Vicious and Frank Sinatra. We all know what Sid was arrested for, but we were surprised to learn that Frankie was arrested for “adultery” in 1938.

This TV star is very recognizable but he used to be a lot cuter when he was younger. He’s looking for love and having a hard time finding it. So he’s advertising for sex on the Adam 4 Adam.com gay male website. He doesn’t use his name, but his photo reveals his identity and his motto is “anything goes.” He’s only around 5’6″ and skinny but what he wants is a big muscular guy into rough and tumble sex. He likes the fresh-out-of-prison type. We hope he doesn’t get MORE than he bargained for.

Leonardo DiCaprio just keeps getting better and better. We love that he really cares about his family and can’t do enough for them. Now he’s planning to bring several generations together in a Malibu. According to Australian reporter Nelson Aspen, Leo’s looking to buy three houses side by side in Malibu and gate them off as a large compound. Leo will occupy one house, his mother will live in one house, and Leo ‘s grandmother will live in the third house. His grandmother lives in Germany and he often visited her there. Now he wants to bring her to the warm climate in Malibu where she’ll be near the family. We predict all the houses will be solar powered.

Fake Like Me

At the beginning of this year, Paris Hilton walked into the Raena gift boutique on 3rd Street and gasped “Omigosh – they look just like ME!” She pointed to the large paintings of Barbie circa 1959 to 1971 hanging on the wall. The life-like depictions of the iconic doll feature Barbie in vibrant color in the early hairstyles and wardrobe that made her famous. The doll is appropriately attired and depicted in different situations with titles like Barbie in Bora Bora, Campus Sweetheart, or Barbie in Hollywood. Paris was SO enthralled with the resemblance, that she declared “I’ll take all the blonde ones!” She hung SEVEN of them in her house and returned for two more – including one brunette painting for her sister Nicky. The paintings by Judy Ragagli retailed for $125 to $525 and Paris bought the big ones.

Bad Tipper! Tracy Morgan

TRACY MORGAN: NOT SO FUNNY

Tracy Morgan, the Saturday Night Live alumni now appearing on 30 Rock, has been involved in a number of drunken misadventures recently – some illegal – others just obnoxious. But, as a performer, he committed the biggest crime of all at The Hard Rock Cafe in New York – and alcohol was NOT involved. Tracy and three friends spent three hours at the cafe recently, eating A LOT and drinking nothing stronger than herbal tea. His server attended to his every need. Apparently the management was SO impressed with his pleasant behavior that they comped the entire check. How did Tracy express his gratitude? BY STIFFING THE POOR WAITRESS! He didn’t leave any tip at all! Gratitude and generosity are obviously not in his vocabulary.

But he caved in recently and did a big ad campaign for Kiddy Land – a chain of upscale toy stores. Johnny’s Pirates of the Caribbean movies have made him a huge favorite with children and the fact that he has two of his own, softened him up. Gigantic billboards of Depp are now featured in all the stores.
