Mother of the bride Victoria Gifford Kennedy INVITED Taylor’s boyfriend Conor Kennedy to the wedding and the teenager failed to RSVP until the last minute. So he avoided the sit down dinner and just showed up for the reception later. HE was responsible for Taylor Swift being there and HE should have been asked to leave. We think the Kennedys are awfully snobbish and rude to make such a big deal out of asking Taylor to leave. She’s a sweet polite girl – NOT some drugged up rock star! They were lucky to have her there! We side with Taylor, not this ill-mannered Kennedy family.

They were asked before arriving not to come. They didn’t listen. She was not invited, plain and simple. You can’t just go anywhere you want because you are a “sweet polite girl”. Even sweet polite girls have to have an invitation.

Who’s really at fault is Robert Kennedy Jr. He should have called his 18 year old son to make him RSVP, or at least RSVPd for him. The kid’s mother committed suicide forgodsake! On the other hand, the caterer could have come up with two more plates for two more guests, and the Kennedy could have shown some compassion for a directionless, depressed teen. When kids are 18 their brains aren’t fully developed, and no one should have expected him to RSVP.

None of us know anything really about the young people involved. What we do know is that the AUNT of a young man who just tragically lost his mother (and whose FATHER should have made sure he RSVPd-he is only 18), talked to the MEDIA about the situation. Her choice could have been to welcome them and ask the caterer to set up two more places (the classy thing to do). Instead she told them not to come. They made sure they were not there for the dinner and only came to see his relatives and dance later.
To discuss any of this with a newspaper is awful and Victoria Gifford Kennedy sounds like an awful person.
I never heard the mother of the bride say anything. All I heard was all from Kathy Lee. Also, for those who are saying this kid just lost his mother, you must not have seen the pics of him taking Taylor to the grave and he is laughing and smiling while standing at his mother’s grave! It was rude for two people to show up to a wedding reception when told not to; however, who is the adult here? Some allowances should be made because of the recent death. You can’t expect an 18 year old kid, who lost his mother, to have the foresight to RSVP. How hard would it have been when Connor called Victoria, for Victoria to have said, absolutely show up, we’ll get two more seats, and then called the wedding planner and let that person handle it. I think Victoria Gifford really made a poor choice by telling them not to come and by making a stink about it and asking them to leave. Was she afraid Taylor would steal the spotlight from the bride? I’m sure there were other “famous” people there besides Taylor. Victoria likely resents the Kennedys after her husband Michael was caught with the nanny and then, of course, tragically died in a ski accident. I think she cast herself in a bad light by acting so childish.
Soon more Kennedy’s will appear on television with the press fawning to “carry on the mantle” and run for public office. Please get in the sailboat and go away.

Connor’s now without a mother, and i am sure has been very distraught at times. He needs the suppport of extended family at this time, and dumping on he and taylor about some stupid protocol at a family wedding
