“Sex & the City” star Kristin Davis doesn’t care about working as much as she used to before she adopted her little girl Gemma Rose. And dating is low on her priorities list too. She’s perfectly happy hanging out with Gemma. Above she’s taking her 3 year old to ballet class in Brentwood.

Nice to know that it wasn’t just the GIRLS on “Sex & the City” who had weight restrictions. Chris Noth, who played the highly desirable Mr Big on the series had a meeting with the director before they started filming the movie version of the show. Nothing can replace “Sex & The City” but we’re willing to give “The Carrie Diaries” a chance. Candace Bushnell wrote both Sex” and “Diaries” so we’re hoping for the best. “Diaries” is the prequal to “Sex” and starts with Carrie as a senior in high school in the 1980’s and follows her to Brown University and on to New York City as a struggling writer. This series however, is on the CW, and HBO and producer Darren Star are not involved. So it’s a tossup. But we WILL give it a look when it debuts in January. This story restores your faith in actors. A friend of ours was shopping in Pavilions in Hollywood yesterday (a hot day) and noticed “Sex &The City” and “Dexter” actor James Remar ahead of him in the checkout line buying gauze bandages, antiseptic and bottled water. (You might remember Remar as Samantha’s wealthy boyfriend on SATC.) When our source walked outside he saw James kneeling beside a homeless man, gently cleaning off a bleeding cut on his forehead. After he sterilized the cut he wrapped the man’s head in the gauze bandage, gave him water, and advised him to stay in the shade. THAT’S what we consider a true act of kindness. Our source couldn’t resist snapping a photo of the touching scene as he drove away.
Sarah Jessica Parker, 46, may be the 30 million dollar woman – according to Forbes. Com, but it hasn’t changed her ideas about raising kids. “Sex & The City” reruns and movies, plus perfume and endorsement deals gave her an impressive income last year. But Sarah says she still doesn’t have any live-in help. She and her husband Matthew Broderick manage as much of the childcare for their three children as possible. Chris Noth’s life just keeps getting better. After playing Mr Big in “Sex & the City,” he moved on to costar with Julianna Margulies on “The Good Wife.” He and his fiancee Tara Lynn Wilson, own several businesses together and also have a son Orion, 2. The family took a low key New England vacation in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, and an eagle eyed photographer spotted them antique shopping.
Perhaps the most important contributor to the success of the “Sex & the City“ franchise since day one has been fearless designer Patricia Fields. Red-haired Patricia’s incredible creativity gave style and substance to all four leading ladies and made Jimmy Choo, and many other designers, a household name. Pat showed up at the premier of movie #2 with her entourage, who are sporting her inventive ideas.
Sarah Jessica Parker must have gone into SHOCK when she woke up this morning to the NY Post headline: “SJP – THE GREEDIEST WOMAN IN SHOWBIZ!” They went on to say “She wants movie millions, freebies, and more of your money!” Besides being paid fifteen million dollars for her recent SATC movie, she stuffed her closet with thousands of dollars worth of clothes, shoes, and jewelry used in the movie. (Not to mention two dozen crystal glasses worth $200 each that were used in a wedding scene.) The paper pointed out that everything used in the film was product placement – for example, Hewlett Packard provided laptops and Sarah will be doing ads for the company.) Parker has launched six fragrances – the recent one timed to the release of the new movie. Her sources of income DO seem limitless. However, we like Jessica and prefer to think of her as a “mogul” rather than a “scrooge” as the Post refers to her.
