SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE CITY: WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO CHRIS NOTH?

If Chris Noth had not reluctantly agreed to appear in the SATC series And Just Like That, this sexual assault scandal probably would NEVER have come to light. Noth ONLY returned to the series because he liked the offer of a brief appearance and a spectacular ending for his character. The Peloton story turned out to be so hot that it brought back bad memories for two women, and they coincidentally brought their stories (over 10 years apart) to the Hollywood Reporter without knowing about each other. Both young vulnerable girls were enchanted by the popular mature actor who played Mr Big. As yet, the women have not filed charges with police or even mentioned lawsuits. They just wanted to tell their stories. Since Noth was married during the 2015 alleged assault, he must be in hot water with his wife. (and more women might come forward!)Just one episode into the series and And Just like That is getting an astonishing amount of publicity!

WILL KIM CATTRALL SHOW HER LOVE FOR WILLIE GARSON?

If you were saddened about the sudden death of Sex & the City actor Willie Garson (he played Carrie’s gay BF Sanford) you can imagine how the rest of the cast and crew feel. We hear that And Just Like That writers plan to honor Willie by writing an episode all about Sanford’s “death” – and here’s the BIG news: they want Kim Cattrall to guest on this special episode dedicated to Willie and his character. And she has NOT said no! How could she? Like her costars, Kim WAS fond of Willie and this would be a great way for her to mend fences with the SATC people and finish off her connection to the show in a nice way. We shall see…

And Just Like That Cynthia Nixon Kristin Davis Sarah Jessica Parker Sex & The City

LET’S HEAR IT FOR WOMEN IN THEIR FIFTIES!

Every time we see a photo of the Sex & The City girls filming in New York, we get excited thinking about the revival series And Just Like That. This reboot would NOT have happened 20 years ago, because the main characters are now in their 50’s! Viewers have grown up watching these beloved women and we are eager to see how they are living their lives as mature women. How will Samantha’s absence be written into the script? Two new girlfriends of color will be a welcome and realistic addition to the cast. We hear that Carrie is now divorced from Mr Big – will she take up with Aiden (John Corbett’s character) again? Carrie’s funny gay friends are returning, and we wonder if Charlotte and Miranda are still happy with their guys Harry and Steve. Most important: we hope the brilliant writers from the original series are on board!

SARAH JESSICA PARKER: “CAN I TRY THIS IN A SIZE 9?”

A few weeks ago we told you Sarah Jessica Parker made a surprise appearance at her SJP shoe store in Manhattan and she worked as a salesperson. Shoppers loved it and sales went through the roof. Last weekend, the E! channel had one of their Sex & the City three day marathons featuring every episode from the six seasons of the beloved series.(It’s still fabulous!) Coincidentally or not, Sarah is BACK in the busy store waiting on customers with the rest of the staff this week. Sarah was just one of the girls when she and the other salesclerks went out for a taco lunch – she was happily masked and unrecognized.

A couple and their dog took a moment to unmask and casually relax on the ground in front of a massage parlor in West Hollywood – and it happens to be a well-known actor, James Remar! He played Samantha’s high octane boyfriend on Sex & the City, but Remar has an edge, and frequently plays sociopaths and sexually aggressive characters. We fondly remember him in the 1979 film The Warriors. James and his wife Atsuko have been married for 36 years and have two very good looking children, Lisa, a singer, and Jason, an actor. Lisa says she has a “sweet dad” and he’s nothing like the characters he plays…

DENZEL’S SON JOHN DAVID WASHINGTON IS NUTS ABOUT SEX & THE CITY!

Here’s an unexpected skill. You may or may not be aware that Denzel Washington’s son John David Washington is the breakout star on Ballers – and he’s a former NFL player. Considering his background, we were flabbergasted to learn (via Hollywood Reporter) that John is a HUGE fan of Sex & the City. No kidding. In fact, he considers himself an expert on SATC trivia and can quote verbatim from all 94 episodes! He rewatches the series every year and his favorite characters are Charlotte and Samantha. How delicious is THAT!

MIRANDA HOBBES FOR GOVERNOR!

Cynthia Nixon IS a candidate of the people- she can be seen riding the subway in Manhattan almost every day. When she announced herself as a candidate for Governor of New York, she nearly arrived late thanks to “Governor Cuomo’s MTA.” What a great storyline this campaign could have been for the girls in Sex & the City 3! Cynthia’s character Miranda was the brainy workaholic with a law degree, so it makes sense. The drama of Miranda running for office would almost make up for the absence of Samantha (who would have been in charge of her publicity, of course!)

Kim Cattrall Sarah Jessica Parker Sex & The City

WILL THE REAL KIM CATTRALL PLEASE STAND UP

Kim Cattrall’s bold character Samantha on Sex & the City was probably the most popular of the four leading women – especially among gays. Maybe that’s why she was resentful toward Sarah Jessica Parker because her Carrie was officially the STAR of the popular show. Personally, we would love to have followed these women into their 50’s and 60’s in a third movie. Everyone loved the script- so why did Kim lead everyone on and then back out at the last minute? Why wouldn’t she go through with the movie to please her costars and pocket the money? How many offers does she GET? Kim called HER COSTARS “toxic.” In reality, Kim was always the toxic one – Sarah happens to be a genuinely decent and kind person. Kim’s decision means a lot of people won’t be working and fans will be disappointed. Actually, we’d be happy to see the movie made without Kim.

Her character Miranda the lawyer on the series had a LOT more style and clout. Meanwhile, Cynthia’s wife of three years, Christine Marinoni, took her four year old lookalike son Max to school.
