REFORMED BAD BOY COLIN FARRELL INDULGES IN YOGA

Now we KNOW he’s reformed. We remember a few years back when Colin Farrell, 36, would stay at the Chateau Marmont and walk to all the bars on Sunset for some heavy duty partying. The sexy Irish actor ended up with quite an assortment of short but spectacular flings with various women – including Britney Spears! In those days he was a BIG drinker and not that difficult to pick up, if you know what we mean. Of course, he had a few other bad habits too. Now he says he’s given up whiskey and cocaine and he’s taken up yoga. And he really enjoys it! As we said, now we KNOW he’s reformed.

A casual observer would NEVER GUESS that he was looking at one of the biggest movie stars in the world, walking down the street in New York. Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises) has assumed what appears to be a “geek” look and is perfectly disguised as an ordinary girl from Brooklyn. She and her fiancée Adam Shulman strolled with their dog Esmeralda without attracting any unwanted attention. Anne has come a long way since she displayed her polished glam look in “The Devil Wears Prada.”

TOGETHER AGAIN: SHIRLEY FEENEY AND “THE BIG RAGU”


Cindy Williams played Shirley Feeney and Eddie Mekka played her boyfriend Carmine Ragusa on one of our favorite series, Laverne & Shirley, which ran from 1976 to 1983. Apparently they are on better terms than Cindy and her costar Penny Marshall, or so we hear. After all these years, Cindy and Eddie got together again to costar in a play called Sylvia in Edmonton, Canada. They appear as an aging married couple whose life is interrupted by a dog. Another reason why Mischa Barton, 26, is choosing to live in Europe: She’s got a new boyfriend. He’s up and coming London actor Sebastian Knapp, 28, and if you blinked you missed him in “28 Days Later” but he’s done lots of work since then. Mischa was partying way too much when she lived in Los Angeles and she had an abundance of boyfriend problems. Now she has her clothing business in London and looks to have pulled her life together in a good way.

Didn’t Jon Hamm absorb a THING about men’s fashion after playing the dapper Don Draper on Mad Men all these years? Really, the Draper character is catnip to women of all ages and a lot of it is because of his immaculate grooming and style. Off camera, Hamm allows himself to look like any other schlump on the street. And he has all the basic ingredients of good looks and physique to work with! On a hot New York day, Don would have worn khaki pants and a neat sport shirt with loafers and shades. Of course, Jon’s look makes it easier to get around the city without those admiring glances…

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY ALREADY LOOKS CONVINCING AS A SICK GUY

It looks like Matthew McConaughey is well on his way to meeting his goal of losing thirty pounds by mid-September when he starts filming. He looks really scrawny in New York hailing a cab, and years older than 42. Of course he has a good reason for this self abuse. He’s starring in The Dallas Buyer’s Club and plays an AIDS patient. The movie is set in 1986 and his character, an electrician, is sent home to die but he won’t give up on living. He gets involved in the complex world of underground pharmacies for HIV drugs not approved in the US. In trying to save his own life, he ends up saving many others.

CONNOR CRUISE: THE NEXT FAMILY MEMBER MOST LIKELY TO REJECT SCIENTOLOGY

All of a sudden Tom Cruise is taking a special interest in his son Connor’s job as a DJ. It could be that Tom senses Connor is in the early stages of drifting away from Scientology. Although his Scientology home schooled “education” hardly prepared Connor for any kind of work in the real world, the clever boy managed to cultivate his love of music into a career. Now he’s getting gigs and traveling the world and meeting new people every day. He’s learned that many European countries frown on the cult of Scientology. It will be awhile before Connor has the courage to break away from the cult, but the seeds are planted. He has Scientology bodyguards that report back to Tom, and perhaps that’s why Tom is keeping a closer eye on his son. The extent to which Katie Holmes was DESPERATE to get a divorce is apparent in the numbers. Without a second thought about Tom Cruise’s 250 million dollar fortune, Katie gave up her “private jet” lifestyle to save her daughter and herself from the clutches of Scientology. Katie simply accepted whatever Tom was willing to pay to support their daughter Suri and she got no cash payout OR spousal support. All she asked for was control over her daughter’s education. This is a woman who was not into her marriage for the money. By the time Suri turns 18, Tom will have spent around $400,000 for support plus medical and dental, etc. for Suri. Katie walked away with nothing for herself. Ant Tom is pretending everything’s just fine because that’s what Scientology tells him to do.

THOSE RUDE KENNEDYS SHOULD BE FLATTERED TO HAVE TAYLOR SWIFT AT THEIR WEDDING

Who in their right mind would kick Taylor Swift out of their wedding reception? Do the Kennedys have NO manners? Mother of the bride Victoria Gifford Kennedy INVITED Taylor’s boyfriend Conor Kennedy to the wedding and the teenager failed to RSVP until the last minute. So he avoided the sit down dinner and just showed up for the reception later. HE was responsible for Taylor Swift being there and HE should have been asked to leave. We think the Kennedys are awfully snobbish and rude to make such a big deal out of asking Taylor to leave. She’s a sweet polite girl – NOT some drugged up rock star! They were lucky to have her there! We side with Taylor, not this ill-mannered Kennedy family.

Sofia Vergara is done up pretty convincingly as Lucille Ball in this photo she posted online, but the question is WHY? This is obviously a professional makeover – Sofia didn’t do it in her bathroom at home, and there is considerable attention to detail. Is she made up for a dream sequence on Modern Family? A costume party? Or is Sofia trying to show another side of her personality to casting directors? It IS, after all, getting her a lot of attention!
