Jaden Smith 14, in New York with his mother Jada, is filming a video for his song Hello. His singing sister Willow, 12, came along for the ride and got dressed up just in case she gets a cameo. Could be risky – she might steal his thunder. Jada kept an eye on the proceedings – Jaden rocked two tone hair and his perpetually wrinkled brow along with a fur lined hoodie, while Willow was clad in a Native American inspired knit coat with stand-up hair. Actually, it’s a good thing both kids can sing – with a Scientology education there’s not much else they’ll be prepared to do.

WILLOW SMITH SIMPLY GREW OUT OF HER “ANNIE” ROLE

Back in 2011, Will and Jada Smith announced their production company would be doing the remake of the Broadway show “Annie” with music by Jay-Z, and most important of all, starring their daughter Willow, who was VERY excited about playing the role. They had some trouble settling on a director and the project was postponed several times. Now the movie has come together and Sony hired someone named Will Gluck to direct,but Willow is OUT as Annie. The reason: she simply GREW too much! When Willow had the part she was only nine. Now 11, she’s grown into a very tall girl and can no longer play a child. Ironically, Lilla Crawford, who currently plays “Annie” on Broadway is also 11, but far more petite than Willow. Since she’s too big to play a child, Willow will have to audition for teen roles now. JADEN AND WILLOW SMITH ARE TALLER THAN THEIR MOTHER

Wow! It looks like Jaden and Willow Smith have grown a foot since the last time we saw them. They got their dad’s height, not their petite mom’s. Certainly their style has also evolved. Jaden, now 14 and Willow, 12, attended the Justin Bieber concert in Miami, so the three are obviously still buddies.

Nice to see Willow Smith is doing something good for herself. She’s constantly having extravagant new haircuts, dye jobs, and piercings, but now she has braces on her teeth. The 11 year old singing daughter of Will and Jada Smith went shopping at The Commons mall in Calabasas with her dog and she could almost pass for a boy with her short hair. No more hair-whipping for awhile.

Willow Smith, 11, looks like she’s grown a few inches since the last time we saw her, but she’s still crazy about fashion and surrounds herself with people who make her look hip and cool. It’s been a few years since the seventh grader had the hit song, “Whip My Hair,” so shaving her head wasn’t a big deal. Willow put her singing career on the back burner for awhile because she has two movies coming out this year – “Annie” and “Amulet” – which is based on a Japanese comic.

Willow Smith is 11 going on 28 and she’s already into six inch platforms. (Not to mention green hair!) She was photographed this week shopping in New York when other kids her age were in school. We’re guessing that by the end of the day she’ll have learned that wearing shoes like that for strolling around the city is NOT a great idea!
