KATY PERRY’S DAUGHTER DAISY LOVES NYC

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are in New York this week showing their daughter Daisy Dove, 4, around the city. We were surprised to see that Daisy (Orlando calls her DD) is platinum blonde. Katy insists that Daisy takes after her – that SHE is a natural blonde but we don’t remember ever seeing her that way. Daisy had a fabulous time visiting her mom on American Idol and she’s now helping Katy sign autographs for fans. Can a showbiz career be in Daisy Bloom’s future?

WHO WILL REPLACE KATY PERRY ON AMERICAN IDOL?

American Idol needs a judge to replace the departing Katy Perry, and a source connected to the still popular show revealed the top two candidates in the running: Jennifer Lopez and her 2020 Super Bowl halftime show co-performer, Shakira. J.Lo was a judge on Idol for 5 non-consecutive seasons while Shakira was a guest performer, but never a judge. If a deal cannot be struck with either of them, next on the wish list is Dua Lipa. Behind closed doors meetings with the respective agents are happening, with a new judge to be named soon.

HOW MUCH DOES KATY PERRY LOVE PICKLEBALL?

Katy Perry has been bitten by the pickleball craze. Katy recently hosted a pickleball tournament in Montecito, California, to benefit Firework Foundation, the charity she founded to provide access to the arts for underprivileged communities. But now she wants to do MORE. Katy is planning to launch a line of snazzy pickleball outfits for both women and men and donate all the profits to her charity. Katy, who designs many of her own costumes, feels there’s a need for flattering sportswear to go along pickleball’s relatively newfound popularity. As one friend explains, Katy feels the expanding pickleball community would welcome better options when it comes to athletic wear, and by donating the proceeds to charity, it’s a win-win.

NOW we know the reason why Katy Perry and her baby daddy Orlando Bloom aren’t married yet – she’s waiting for her first marriage to Russell Brand to be annulled so she can marry Orlando in a Catholic Church! Katy has been trying to annul her 14-month marriage to Russell ever since he asked for a divorce in December 2011, but the process can be long and arduous. Since Brand was accused of rape and sexual assault by four women, Katy is in a BIGGER hurry. According to my source, Katy is FINALLY close to getting the ill-fated marriage scrubbed from her record, and she will marry Orlando before the ink is dry on those annulment papers.

KATY PERRY’S NIGHTMARE IS COMING TRUE

Katy Perry’s lips have been sealed since she divorced her 10 years older husband of 14 months, Russell Brand. She described their union as a colossal mistake, and hinted that she intended to keep the “real truth ” hidden. Russell Brand isn’t facing any criminal charges YET, despite being accused of sexual assault by a handful of women, (some while he was married) and Katy is praying he resolves his potential issues without going to court. Katy has already been told by legal counsel that she’s likely to be summoned to appear if a criminal case is filed, and the LAST thing she wants to do is testify. She does NOT want to get dragged into Russell’s troubles, but realizes she might NOT have a choice. Our source says that despite their messy split, Russell has let mutual pals know he may need to subpoena Katy to appear as a character witness and wants to do so before any potential prosecutor interviews her. Does he expect her to say good things about him and vouch for his character? This will be interesting…

Believe it or not, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are FINALLY getting married! The proud parents of two-year-old Daisy have had a LONG engagement (since 2019) but blamed covid restrictions on why they haven’t tied the knot. Now that the pandemic is behind us and travel restrictions lifted, Katy and Orlando intend to make it official this summer, with a destination wedding somewhere exotic and tropical and WARM. The couple have been telling pals that the official save the date cards will be in the mail SHORTLY, and to get ready for an ALL EXPENSES PAID super-fun soirée that they won’t soon forget!

You’d never guess that behind that cart is the famous star of the biggest hit show now in Las Vegas! Who ELSE but Katy Perry! Katy’s production, called PLAY, at Resorts World Las Vegas is enjoying excellent reviews and has been described as: “emotional, whimsical, psychedelic, fantasy and high camp.” The show opens with Katy climbing out of a giant orange toilet! Off-stage, Katy knows how to get around alone and unnoticed. She went grocery shopping incognito at LA’s Erewhon (one of our favorite markets) dressed in a nondescript quilted coat with baggy lavender sweats underneath, a fanny pack, and sandals (in January!) a baseball cap, and of course, the ever-present mask. She loaded her groceries into the car and no one paid any attention…

KATY PERRY: WORST BEACH LOOK EVER

Okay, Katy Perry has REALLY white skin and has to be careful under the sun, but is that an excuse to enjoy a beach outing looking like THIS? Nobody would have recognized her if she was alone, but Orlando Bloom was also in their group, and looking quite good. (Katy’s mom is right behind her and Daisy is in her arms.) But Katy, that AWFUL hat and that equally unflattering muumuu beach cover is a criminal combination for such an attractive woman, and in this case, even the mask is not flattering. (As we all know, some people look BETTER in a mask.) You don’t have to be stick-thin to look decent on the beach. In this get-up, she could be mistaken for Orlando’s mother. Has Katy forgotten that she is more than a mom- she’s a major celebrity!
