THIS BARE BOTTOM FASHION ILLUSION FROM JAPAN COULD CAUSE A TRAFFIC PILE-UP!

Japan has SOME sense of humor. Supposedly, these are not girls with their underwear showing- they are prints on the skirts that make it LOOK like panties are visible! Is it possible this is all an optical illusion? It’s claimed that no skin or underpants are really showing, but it is very startling. Trick photography notwithstanding, this could definitely become a hazard to ogling drivers. We wonder who would be the first to sport this look in Hollywood? Child bride Courtney Stodden perhaps?

SOME PEOPLE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR A FREEBIE

The Desigual store from Barcelona opened in Santa Monica Tuesday and hundreds of people stood in line for HOURS in their underwear outside. The shop offered a free outfit to the first 100 shoppers dressed only in underwear on opening day. The second 100 got a 50% discount. The company has dozens of stores around the world, and open each one with this offer. Surprisingly, David Arquette was NOT in line.

Who’s better at selling men’s underwear than David Beckham? David had an epiphany when he realized how much underwear Emporio Armani was selling after he became their spokesperson. When his contract was up (tennis player Rafael Nadel was hired to replace him) Beckham jumped at the chance to create his OWN collection of what he calls “men’s bodywear.” He consulted his soccer team mates on the final designs and his new collection will be distributed by H&M in 1800 stores in 40 countries. Accessible to all.

The ring was distracting, but not enough to draw attention away from her white underwear. We wonder if she needs a security guard wherever she goes wearing that ring…

We love this 50’s vintage Fruit of the Loom ad from Life magazine. This old brand is making a big comeback in Hollywood – forget Calvin Klein. Brad Pitt, Rob Pattinson, and Zac Efron have all been photographed with their Fruit of the Loom labels peeking out above their jeans. So it makes sense that Kris Jenner, who is now managing her daughter’s fiancee Kris Humphries, would try to land a deal with this company and make Humphries spokesmodel for the label. She’s determined to make it happen and wants to see his face on every package of underwear sold.

We actually thought these days were over. We mean the days that Britney Spears leaves the house without looking in the mirror. Brit and her assistant went to the Topanga Mall and the assistant must be too terrified to point out her boss’s personal neglect. Her rear view is especially appalling – the matted and obvious hair weave implies that she simply doesn’t brush her hair when she wakes up. The exposed underwear is an indication that she needs a three way mirror.

Maxsim is going to be green with envy. His “Dancing with the Stars” rival Derek Hough has been photographed several times with his Hanes underwear label peeking out. The Hanes people saw an opportunity so they signed him up to be their underwear model. We doubt if clean cut Derek’s photos will be as overtly sexy as David Beckham’s billboards were for Calvin Klein. But, who knows?

Eva Mendes’ new ad for Calvin Klein underwear has caused a disturbance in a New York neighborhood. This overheated ad covers the entire side of a building on the corner of Houston Street and Lafayette Street in Soho. SOME of the people who live nearby say it’s too much and want the steamy ad taken down. Others enjoy looking at it.

Paris Fashion Week for menswear and no designer tries harder than John Galliano to make his Dior Homme show startling and newsworthy. He showed a lot of garters for men on the catwalk, but this was the most outrageous lounging combo. A red garter belt and stockings can certainly liven up a silk robe ensemble. We DO like the newsprint underpants, however.
