Melanie Griffith walked into an LA skin care salon with her “Antonio”heart tattoo fully exposed on her right arm and she walked out of the place with a big bandage where the tattoo was. (Above) Presumably, it is in the process of being removed – it takes a number of visits. Actually Melanie looks a lot better without it. Neither tattoos OR relationships are permanent. Now Melanie is officially back in circulation.

Victoria Beckham admits it’s not easy to think up the perfect gift for her husband David, who turned 38 in May. Clever Victoria gave David something he can really use – a gift certificate for more tattoos from his favorite tattoo artist. David already has 32 tattoos but they’re not biker style – most of them are either religious or tributes to his love for family members. There are no ex-girlfriends represented in his skin art.

Omigosh! The last time we saw Redmond O’Neal he was tall and skinny and had bright red hair (above with his father Ryan O’Neal in 2007.) Nowadays, he looks so different that if his mother Farrah Fawcett were alive, SHE might not recognize him. Redmond, 28, has spent most of his adult life either in jail or rehab for drugs and firearms charges. He finished his court ordered treatment in October and will be on probation for three more years. For the past 9 month he seems to have been behaving, but he looks like a different person. He shaved his head, packed on some poundage and got some new tattoos. Click HERE to see how he looks today.

Sylvester Stallone, 66, has found another way to defy aging! He already uses all kinds of health supplements to remain youthful, but found that his skin continued to mature. He started getting tattoos a few years ago and loved they way the cover up varicose veins, scars, spots, and wrinkles, especially on his back and chest and arms. He visited the MD Tattoo Studio in Northridge on Sunday when the place is usually closed for a private tattoo session with the expert Mike DeVries. We had no idea his tattoos were so extensive. Mena Suvari, 33, is a fast worker. She was still in the throes of her second divorce when she took up with L.A. based tattoo artist Salvador Sanchez. They’ve been inseparable on both coasts for months, in spite of the fact that 5’4” Mena towers over the diminutive, but apparently macho Sanchez. (When she sees a camera, she often walks behind him so he’ll look bigger) Her last husband asked for generous alimony from her and after a legal battle they finally settled and no longer speak.

Kelsey Grammer’s new wife Kayte Walsh shouldn’t be too impressed with the fact that he had her name tattooed on his hip. Certainly he did it as a symbol that their love is “forever,” but his previous fickle behavior tells it all. Kelsey is the kind of guy who falls HARD for a woman and sweeps her off her feet – bragging about how WONDERFUL she is and buying gifts. It’s all very flattering. But with every one of his past wives and companions he has done a sudden and shocking about-face. One morning he wakes up and just doesn’t love her any more! (Jeff Goldblum is the same type) This abrupt change is a terrible jolt to the female involved. Maybe Kelsey wanted to make Kayte feel secure by getting that tattoo, but it IS small and very easy to erase.

Russell Brand has been a frequent visitor to Mark Mahoney’s Shamrock Social Club on Sunset Strip – his favorite tattoo parlor. Contrary to rumors, he did NOT get any tattoos related to his ex Katy Perry removed there. (Dermatologists do THAT.) On his last visit there with his new girlfriend, Hungarian model Nikolett Barabas, he got some kind of tattoo on his arm while Nikolett watched, but she didn’t get any. They’re not ready for his n’ hers body art yet.
Now that Kat Von D has dumped sleazeball Jesse James for the last time, she has turned her attention to the tattoo of his face as a kid in the 5th grade that she foolishly tattooed on her rib cage last July. At the time she did it to “prove her love” and quite a fuss was made over it on her TV show. Now she has quietly started to remove the large tattoo and all final traces of her former fiancee.

Rooney Mara grew back her eyebrows, washed off her tattoos and plucked out the piercings her character Lisbeth Salander sported in “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” The result: she looked almost virginal at the London premier. Her white Givenchy couture gown was both sexy and innocent – Rooney obviously doesn’t want to be typecast as a Goth outcast. Her movie is expected to be a Christmas blockbuster despite the dark subject matter.
