She had to chop off her hair and gain 10 pounds for her role as an unwed teen mother in “Gimme Shelter” and as a result, she’s not happy with her looks. A photographer caught her deeply inhaling on a cigarette as a friend was driving her through West Hollywood, and Vanessa went bonkers. She jumped out of the car and chased the paparazzi down the street in a rage! Vanessa, you’re 22 now and smoking is not illegal, but it’s a dumb way to lose weight.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ s youngest daughter Tallulah, 17, was walking in Santa Monica with a friend, wearing motorcycle boots, torn fishnet stockings and a white tunic blouse. To no one’s surprise, she reached in her purse and pulled out a cigarette. She’s already a chain smoker like her sisters, and we presume that mother Demi is their role model.

We’re always interested in who pals around with Elton John – we were surprised to learn about his drug counseling friendship with Eminem. Elton performed in Honolulu last weekend and Kanye West was seen hanging out in Elton’s dressing room backstage. According to a witness, Kanye was nonchalantly devouring fried chicken and smoking Newports, and Elton was visibly recoiling from the smell of the food and cigarettes, but he was “too polite to say anything.”

We’re not sure why those rumors that Liv Tyler is pregnant are still circulating because she looks trim to us. Liv was photographed arriving at a party in the Hollywood Hills without the “mystery man” she’s been dating of late. She and the new guy took her four year old son Milo trick or treating on Halloween.

We were RIGHT when we assumed “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl might be expecting because of 3 observations in a recent photo. She was sucking on a lollipop instead of smoking, she wore a loose dress, and she and her husband Josh Kelley were in a baby store purchasing a stroller. The twist is that she’s adopting! Katherine and Josh are expecting a little girl from Korea this week whom they’ve already named Leigh. Katherine has always liked kids better than she liked the idea of being pregnant. Hopefully she’s stocked up on lollipops to avoid second hand smoke.

Lindsay’s father has signed up to become a spokesperson for the new water vapor non flammable E-Cigarettes sold on “SmokingEverywhere.com.” The electronic cigarettes are advertised as “healthy” with no harmful additives, yet they give the smoker a dose of nicotine. Michael told entertainment journalist Patricia Towle that he already introduced the smoking substitute to Mickey Rourke– who loved it. Lohan is hoping to get Hollywood hooked on his product.

PRINCE FREDERICK STINKS UP THE PATIO

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband Prince Frederick Von Anhalt does not endear himself to other patrons at his favorite Starbucks in West Hollywood. Frederick, who’s a regular at 10 or 11 AM every day at the coffee spot on Santa Monica Blvd, doesn’t hesitate to park his Bentley free on the street because he has a handicapped sticker. He always sits outside at a patio table with a view of the neighborhood. The Prince was reprimanded last week by a Starbucks staffer because he had a poodle on his table and was surprised to learn it was not permitted. But according to another regular customer, Von Anhalt’s WORST habit is lighting up a big fat CIGAR every morning. The stink causes other people on the patio to drag their tables and chairs as far from him as they can get. And he doesn’t even notice.
