BLAKE LIVELY AND RYAN REYNOLDS: PEOPLE MAGAZINE WAS NOT INVITED TO OUR WEDDING!

When Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively secretly married in South Carolina a few weeks ago we were very impressed that they pulled off the event without alerting press or press or photographers. It appeared that they actually planned and PAID FOR their own private wedding instead of selling out to a magazine. Truly romantic. That same week, we were disillusioned to see People magazine’s wedding cover bellow ”People Was There!” implying THEY were invited. It turns out they WEREN’T. People exaggerated the way “Life & Style” or “In Touch” usually does. According to Page Six, Blake’s reps said there was a sneaky photographer on a boat snapping pics, but the couple never sold their pictures to any weekly and certainly didn’t invite anyone from People to the wedding.

Undaunted, Ryan fell hard for his Green Lantern costar Blake Lively, 25, and you knew where that was headed when they bought a house in New York together. Their South Carolina wedding Sunday WAS a surprise, however. Since Ryan seems to be a one woman man, we’re betting he’s feeling very content today. They seem like a great match.

Blake’s movie “Savages” did okay at the boxoffice but more importantly it proved that she IS a real movie star.

Ryan is crazy about his Golden Retriever, Baxter, and wouldn’t trust him to just anybody. Blake was seen walking on the Gossip Girl set with Baxter and her own tiny Maltipoo Penny, and she was loving up both of them.

Okay, we were dragged to see “The Green Lantern” and begrudgingly gave it a chance because we like Ryan Reynolds. It turns out we like Ryan as a real person, not as a superhero. Our main gripe is about costar Mark Strong whom we found extremely appealing in previous films like RocknRolla and Sherlock Holmes. He’s not only hot looking but has a very sexy voice. So why did the makers of Green Lantern paint him up to look like a freaky ghoul? If Scarlett Johanssen was in the movie you can bet they wouldn’t have disguised HER good looks. These movies made BY men FOR men can really be a turn-off for women.

MID CENTURY MODERN CASUALTY TO JOHANSSON REYNOLDS DIVORCE

It appears that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds’ marriage was doing just fine in August because they bought a beautiful restored mid-century modern house with walls of glass in Los Feliz for 2.8 million dollars. The 1960’s 2835 sq ft dream house was designed by Buff & Hensman and originally featured four bedrooms but they had been redesigned into two larger bedrooms. That pretty much leaves out the immediate prospect of kids – which was supposedly one of the marriage problems. Scarlett has a history of bad real estate luck – she sold her last house at a 3 million dollar loss.

Didn’t they think about this job situation before they walked down the aisle?
