Now that his boozing is costing him some money, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, 33, might actually take his current stay in rehab seriously. The sexy Tudors star has a bad habit of getting drunk and disorderly in airports and has been in rehab three times before his recent check-in. He‘s also been the spokesperson for Hugo Boss for since 2006, but now they’ve replaced him with Jared Leto.
It looks like Whitney Houston has pretty much lost control of her 18 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina, according to The Enquirer. After photos of Krissi snorting cocaine surfaced, Whitney put her in rehab, but pulled her out when she realized her daughter might reveal unpleasant details about her mother’s drug use in group counseling sessions. Whitney shipped Krissi off to LA to film a reality show about her efforts to break into the music business. But Krissi started palling around with Montana Fishburne, of all people, and hanging around clubs with druggies and pornstars. If Whitney’s nightmares come true, next thing you know Krissi will be in a porn video!
Nicolas Cage has had several alcohol fueled public meltdowns lately and we’re thinking it’s Next Stop: REHAB. He embarrassed himself in Bucharest when he got so drunk at a party he was bellowing incoherently in the street and had to be dragged into his car by a bodyguard. He even forgot his wife at the party and they had to go back. He’s made several drunken scenes in New Orleans, but this last one is absurd because he was SO hammered he forgot where he lived, and took it out on his wife. (He had to sell his New Orleans home and is currently renting.) It was very late and Nic was drunkenly insisting on entering the wrong residence and his 20 years younger wife Alice Kim was trying to convince him they were staying at a building nearby. Imagine if he had stormed into the wrong house! As usual, Cage made a huge fuss and was bullying, yelling and roughing up his wife on the street when a cab called the police. When police came he DARED them to arrest him and they did. Cage was booked at 6:33 AM. (How late are the bars open there, anyway?) It’s time for Nicolas to get a grip on his finances AND his substance abuse.

Everyone’s talking about the news that Catherine Zeta Jones checked into a Connecticut hospital facility to deal with her “bipolar disorder.” Granted, she’s had a tough year living with her husband’s illness, but she’s not telling the whole story. Silver Hill Hospital specializes in treating psychiatric disorders combined with substance abuse. The National Enquirer broke this story (although few blogs credited them) in this week’s issue and they revealed that Catherine went right into the detox center of the hospital and checked out after five days. Self-medication might be her main problem. (Above, she accused a photographer of hitting her in the face in London in February)
David Arquette is making a grand last attempt to save his marriage to Courteney Cox by checking into rehab. As we told you, Courteney has been alarmed by David’s alcohol consumption and late partying since they split up and she tried to talk him into rehab. She pointed out that if nothing else, he owed it to his daughter. After one last boozy night out at the Roosevelt Hotel on New Year’s Eve, David went straight to rehab, saying he “owed it to his family.”
We TOLD you that Courteney Cox was angling to get her estranged husband David Arquette into rehab for the holidays. And we weren’t exaggerating. Since they announced their split, he’s been partying like a madman. (Above, he’s dancing on a table in Miami) Now he‘s admitted to Howard Stern that he’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown and he’s been drinking A LOT because he’s heartbroken about the separation. He says “Everybody’s worried about me,” and apparently his weekly visits to a psychiatrist aren’t helping. It sounds like Courteney will get her wish very soon.

With so many celebrities spending the holidays in rehab we figure the temptation to overindulge must be rampant at this time of the year. Courteney Cox is not thrilled by the fact that her estranged husband David Arquette has been partying like a frat boy since they split, and she would love HIM to check into rehab. David loves the night life and Courtney would rather relax at home after a long day at work – certainly this contributed to their split. Whether they get back together or not, Courteney would like to see her child’s father calm down and drink less.
According to our clever friend at The Real Estalker, this is the Sherman Oaks home that Demi Lovato presented to her parents on her 18th birthday last August. Her family is living comfortably in the 4000 sq foot home while she occupies the 820 ft guest cottage- far from prying eyes. Demi is currently in a rehab in Chicago that concentrates on helping young women with various physical and mental disorders. When Demi shocked everyone by checking herself into rehab, many vague explanations were offered – from bullying, to eating disorders, to anxiety and depression. Today rumors of her using cocaine surfaced. We hear the real problem (which explains everything) is WAY more interesting – and bound to leak out sooner or later.
Lindsay Lohan looks great on the cover of Vanity Fair – the photo and interview were done a week before she was jailed and rehabbed. It’s worthy of note that in her interview, Lindsay insisted she has “never abused prescription drugs” and did not have a drinking problem. (Sure, we believe a “misdiagnosis” caused her to pop all those Adderall.) Oh, and she blamed her bad decisions and bad behavior on the fact that she had poor role models, like Britney – and her parents. It will be interesting to see if, in her first interview AFTER jail and rehab, (for which she will be paid a fortune) anything changes. Denial and blaming others are not good signs for recovery. Will she man up and takes responsibility for her own behavior?
Dina Lohan’s startling interview with Matt Lauer on The Today Show was more revealing than she ever imagined. Matt approached the subject of Lindsay’s substance problems with concern, but Dina’s attitude was hostile and dismissive from the get-go. When Matt pointed out that Lindsay had been in rehab FOUR times, Dina insisted it was TWO times, but he documented each of Lindsay’s visits. Dina couldn’t admit she was wrong and went on to deny that her daughter had serious drug issues and blamed everyone – including the judge – for Lindsay’s dilemma. Her chilling denial made the viewer feel even sorrier for the pathetic Lindsay. You got the distinct feeling that Dina would much rather talk about HERSELF than her daughter.
