L’WREN SCOTT SUICIDE: HOW DOES A 6′ 3″ WOMAN HANG HERSELF FROM A DOORKNOB?

SO many questions about the tragic L’Wren Scott suicide. First of all, how and why she killed herself with an Hermes scarf and a doorknob is a huge mystery. What kind of acrobatics are involved? Why wouldn’t she just take pills? Had her boyfriend Mick Jagger broken her heart? Was she distraught over turning 50 next month? We happened to ride the Barneys elevator with L’Wren a few years ago and we remember that she was extremely tall, nicely dressed, and quiet. Her boyfriend Mick gave her notoriety and a huge career boost. Until more details emerge, this is a real mystery.

ARETHA FRANKLIN’S HEALTH IS STILL A MYSTERY- AND SHE’S NOT TALKING

Secretive celebrity Aretha Franklin admits she’s gained 40 pounds in the past few months but her health is still a giant mystery. Nearly two years ago she had surgery and would never reveal what it was for. (We speculated gastric bypass.) At the time, relatives of her whispered that she had pancreatic cancer. Aretha denied that she had cancer, but STILL would not talk about her surgery. During the months that followed she cancelled concerts and lost at least 85 pounds. We feared the worst. But suddenly she seemed to snap out of her health problems and got back to work, looking healthier than ever. Now people are saying that she may NOT have had cancer, but actually had complications from her gastric surgery from which she has recovered. But she seems to be stretching her stomach again because she has packed on 40 of the pounds she lost. If Aretha DID have nothing worse than gastric surgery, we wish she would admit it so her fans can stop worrying about her. And she might get more job offers too!

The death of Sage Stallone, 36, (probably an accidental drug overdose) is a tragic story but conflicting reports at this time are puzzling, indeed. It’s unclear whether he lived in a house or apartment in Studio City, but he may have been dead for a week before his body was found. TMZ reports that Sage lived a Howard Hughes life and barricaded himself in his bedroom. His room was reportedly filthy – littered with beer and soda cans, cigarette butts, old food and an awful smell. He had a number of bottles full of pills. Yet, he had a housekeeper who was forbidden to enter his room when she cleaned his place. Sage had become a director and producer and had two movie companies, but is said to have run into financial problems recently. A source told the New York Post he wouldn’t ask his father for money. Sage’s lawyer insists that he was in good spirits, working on all kinds of projects, and planning on getting MARRIED! One report said that Sage’s mom sent the housekeeper to check on him and found the body, another source says his girlfriend found him. We don’t know WHAT to believe, but we feel very bad for his family.

Kathy Griffin ISN’T holding out for Anderson Cooper like some people assume – she is still dating the same tall blonde guy who happens to be eighteen years younger than her and she’s quite happy. She will not reveal her boyfriend’s name and is obsessed with keeping him OUT of the limelight. The only time she ever took him out as her plus one was to – of all places- an AARP event. She figured no one there would care who he was. They’ve been together for MONTHS and are occasionally seen leaving a fancy restaurant. DEMI MOORE AND DRUGS: SHE’S NOT THE INNOCENT VICTIM SHE APPEARED TO BE

Wait a minute, the whole Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher divorce story just took a U-turn. TMZ reports that Demi was inhaling nitrous oxide with a friend before she had a seizure and was hospitalized. Nitrous Oxide! This is something bored young teenagers do after graduating from glue-sniffing. For a woman of Demi’s age and accomplishment, it’s mind boggling. What ELSE does she do? Obviously Demi is not the innocent victim of her husband’s infidelity that she appeared to be. Maybe she’s been abusing drugs for a long time and DROVE Ashton to seek companionship elsewhere. He’s probably happy this information surfaced because the press has branded him the villain who caused the split. There’s WAY more to this than meets the eye.

SLIMMER ARETHA FRANKLIN STILL WON’T DISCUSS HER SURGERY

Aretha Franklin’s taped message on the Grammys revealed that she has lost a considerable amount of weight. She still refuses to discuss her hospitalization and surgery a few months ago, so speculation never stops. At first it was assumed she had lap-band surgery to lose weight, but the rumor that she had surgery for pancreatic cancer began to circulate. Either would cause weight loss. Aretha is strangely reluctant to reveal her health issue but she did say “Doctors believe my surgery will add 15 to 20 years to my life.” We hope so.

Harold Smith Murder Mystery Suicide

HAROLD SMITH DIDN’T KILL RONNI CHASEN

The Ronni Chasen murder mystery is far from over. It’s highly probable that the so-called “suspect” who shot himself had nothing to do with it. Harold Smith, who had lived in the low rent Harvey Apartments, had a history of arrests and incarcerations for burglary, robbery, drugs and firearms. His neighbors agreed he was strange, crazy, paranoid, and most didn’t believe his babblings – even when he supposedly bragged about killing “the publicist.” (The reward prompted someone to report him anyway and cops started tracking his moves.) He did vow that he’d rather die than return to prison. Several burglaries had occurred in the neighborhood and Smith, who had moved out of the building, returned several times to ASK if cops were looking for him. Police confronted him in the lobby and before they could say a word, he shot himself. It’s entirely possible that this mental case thought he was being arrested for the burglaries- and he couldn’t face prison again. What’s more, it’s common knowledge that Harold Smith rode a bicycle. Odds of this crackpot being hired to “off” anybody are slim, indeed. Police are hoping bullets connect the suicide and the murder but we seriously doubt that a delusional man on a bicycle had anything to do with this crime.

ARETHA FRANKLIN’S MYSTERY SURGERY HAS FANS WORRIED SICK

Everybody’s worried about Aretha Franklin’s upcoming surgery because she won’t reveal what it’s all about. That gets imaginations working overtime. She’s cancelled all concerts and cleared her schedule until May. Concerned fans held a prayer vigil for her in Detroit. Hopefully, it’s not as serious as her fans fear, and Aretha is having lap-band surgery or something like it, that would improve her weight and health. We’d like to keep her around as long as possible.
