ELISABETTA CANALIS: THERE IS LIFE AFTER GEORGE CLOONEY!

George Clooney’s exgirlfriend, Italian TV personality Elisabetta Canalis, attracts admiring glances as she leaves Barneys in Beverly Hills with her two little dogs. Ironically, Elisabetta started her career as a professional dancer on TV in Italy long before she appeared on our Dancing with the Stars in 2011. In spite of that, she was the SECOND celebrity eliminated! In September she married orthopedic surgeon Brian Perri, who is affiliated with Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, so she will be spending most of her time here.

Bill Murray looks delighted with his own sartorial splendor at the NY premier of “St Vincent.” He’s getting great reviews for the comedy and we are eager to see it. This morning Bill was on the Today show talking about his experience at George Clooney’s wedding. He said that George and his bride Amal are a good match and that SHE is surprisingly funny. He cracked “Amal is the funniest Lebanese since Danny Thomas!”

CRASS VS CLASS: A TALE OF TWO HOLLYWOOD WEDDINGS

Our brilliant friend Linda Stasi at the New York Daily News wrote a hilarious analysis comparing the Clooney/Alamuddin wedding to the Kanye/Kardashian wedding. Both ceremonies involved Hollywood celebrities and took place in Italy, but that’s where the similarity ends. Stasi pointed out in many ways how opposite the taste level was in both events. For example: “One bride posed with her entourage looking like escaped strippers from The Hustler Club. Has anybody else noticed how much Amal Alamuddin has EVOLVED since she started dating George Clooney? She was always attractive, but never seemed terribly confident about her looks or obsessed with fashion. She was a busy, slightly frazzled lawyer. This wedding weekend she appeared in multiple fabulous outfits and always looked devastating. Now she’s a world class beauty. We suspect George has a team of experts that he brings in to prepare his women for special public appearances.

ITALIANS ARE HYSTERICAL OVER GEORGE CLOONEY WEDDING

It looks like the Wedding extravaganza of the Century is taking place in Italy, judging by the country’s level of excitement. George Clooney is marrying Amal Alamuddin this weekend at the fancy Cipriani Hotel in Venice. Stores selling souvenirs are already hawking t-shirts and statues (above) of the bride and groom for sentimental fans. The REAL bride and groom looked ravishing as they arrived at the hotel today.

Brits are all aflutter since George Clooney surprised his fiancée Amal Alamuddin with a tour of the Highclere Castle where Downton Abbey is filmed. It’s the only TV series Amal cares about and she was captivated by the private tour. Of course the British papers are now speculating that this will be their wedding venue. The castle and fabulous grounds can be rented for weddings and prices start at $25000 and go WAY up, depending on the frills. It’s predicted that George and Amal will wed in September – a year after they met.

Pass the smelling salts. Confirmed bachelor George Clooney, 52, is getting married to his Lebanese lawyer girlfriend Amal Alamuddin! Or so they say – at People magazine. George hasn’t admitted anything yet. But it is certainly a turnaround for a guy who has vowed for years to every woman he’s dated that he will never marry again. STACY KEIBLER GOT OVER GEORGE CLOONEY IN A BIG WAY

To her credit, Stacy Keibler didn’t waste any time finding her own happiness after George Clooney cut her loose after two years. Like all of George’s girlfriends, it was fun while it lasted, but eventually it became apparent that George MEANT it when he said he didn’t want to get married. And of course she left the relationship with more fame and money than she had when it started. Stacy resurrected a friendship with tech millionaire Jason Pobre and they went to Burning Man together last summer – she called it “a life changing experience.” Now they are married and she’s happily pregnant less than a year after the George break-up. Nicely done, Stacy.

A wealthy man in London offered that amount to a professional George Clooney lookalike if he would sleep with his wife as a surprise for her 40th birthday. She’s a huge fan of Clooney’s. He told the startled lookalike, Gary Tate, that he and his wife have an ‘’open marriage,” if that makes the offer sound less unsavory. Tate, who has been impersonating Clooney at parties and photo ops etc. since 1997, said no thanks. (We’re betting the wife wouldn’t be as thrilled as the husband assumes.)
