M.I.A., THE BRENTWOOD MOM, GIVES SUPERBOWL AUDIENCE THE FINGER?

At first, when we saw British rapper M.I.A. give the finger to her Superbowl audience during Madonna’s performance, we assumed she was some kid rapper scrambling to pull attention away from Madonna. But she’s much more than that – she’s an established musician, artist, human rights activist, fashion icon, and Oscar nominee! She’s also 36 years old and a mother living in the very posh yuppie–land of Brentwood, California with her three year old son. Her baby-daddy is Benjamin Bronfman of the Bronfman dynasty. (So she’s one of those Brentwood mothers with strollers that we gripe about.) She was warned by the network NOT to do anything offensive on the family show and although the gesture is no big deal, she knew it was a bad idea. But we’re talking about her, so maybe it was worth looking a bit foolish.

Accident Finger Hand Shia LaBeouf

SHIA LA BEOUF’S LEFT HAND STILL DOESN’T WORK RIGHT

Finally, a Shia LaBeouf mystery has been solved. Back in 2008 when he had the car accident that damaged his hand, Star magazine declared that doctors would have to amputate his pinky finger. He was in the process of filming Transformers 2. The story was DENIED, but in fact, they were almost right. Shia’s fingers WERE crushed in the accident and at least one could not be saved. Shia admits one finger was “reconstructed with bone from his hip and leftover skin.” The middle fingers on his left hand were most damaged and still encased in a “glove” at times. Above, he disguised his affliction in “Wall Street 2.”

Daryl Hannah didn’t miss the opening of Jon Lovitz’s Comedy Club at Universal Citywalk. There’s been a lot of gossip about 48 year old Daryl supposedly having lots of plastic surgery but she looks pretty and natural to us. She is not, however, wearing her fake fingertip on her left hand. Daryl always wears her fake fingertip when she makes a movie and every once in awhile she’d misplace it and production would be held up until it was located.

Gemma Arterton yet, but she’s bound to capture your attention when you see her in the new Bond film “Quantum of Solace” with Daniel Craig. The pretty starlet, 22, has already separated herself from the pack of Bond girls by announcing that she was born with six fingers on each hand! She had the extra digits removed when she was a baby and only slight bumps remain. She says it has always made her feel “special.”

Maybe those great hospital sources have dried up since the Farrah Fawcett UCLA Medical Center scandal. Last week Star announced their exclusive scoop that Shia LaBeouf was likely to have his pinky finger AMPUTATED because it was so damaged in his auto accident. Here’s a recent photo of Shia and his bandaged hand – we can’t resist pointing out that his pinky finger is clearly the only one NOT damaged.
