COURTNEY LOVE STILL HASN’T GOTTEN OVER EDWARD NORTON

To no one’s surprise, Courtney Love’s New York art show opened to dismal reviews, but many looky-loos. Many observers found the obscenity covered work “offensive, narcissistic, and infantile.” Particularly appalling was a white wedding gown (on wall behind Courtney above) heavily embroidered with vulgar words. It’s rumored that the dress was supposed to be for Love’s wedding to ex-boyfriend Edward Norton. (She never got over THAT bustup.) Another drawing shows a blond woman crying blood with “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here” written across the top. There ARE collectors who will probably spend money for her work – Courtney’s hoping to outsell her daughter Frances Cobain’s art show.

COURTNEY LOVE WANTS TO PROVE SHE’S A BETTER ARTIST THAN HER DAUGHTER FRANCES COBAIN



We can just IMAGINE Frances Cobain’s face when she learned that her mother Courtney Love is having an art show! Two years ago Frances had a very successful art exhibit at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles and she used the fake name Fiddle Tim, instead of promoting her real self. Her somewhat gruesome charcoal drawings were well received and sold out. We’re thinking her estranged mother Courtney must have figured “If she can to it, so can I.” So Courtney is having her OWN gallery show in New York called “And She’s Not Even Pretty” and it opens May 3. Her drawings are in pencil, pastels, and watercolor, and there is a slight resemblance to her daughter’s more intense work. Courtney says if they SELL, she’ll do it again! Really, Courtney, MUST you compete with your daughter?

COURTNEY LOVE IS ON A TWITTER BINGE OF BADMOUTHING DAVE GROHL

Courtney Love is back on Twitter, making enemies hand over fist. Lately she’s preoccupied with former Nirvana musician Dave Grohl and she’s accusing him of all kinds of unpleasant things. Like attempting to seduce her 19 year old daughter Frances. She claims a former roomate of Frances told her that. Keep in mind that Foo Fighters frontman Grohl, 43, is now happily married and has known Frances since she was born. Courtney went to accuse Grohl of being “obsessed” with jealousy of her ex husband Kurt Cobain and made a pass at HER also! It is suspected that Courtney’s rants are actually the result of disagreements over Nirvana song copyright details.

COURTNEY LOVE AND HER ASSISTANT WILL TELL DIFFERENT SIDES OF HER STORY

Last September, Courtney Love, 47, signed a book deal to publish her memoirs and agreed to dictate her story to a professional writer. She wanted to “set the record straight” about among other things, her stormy life, her marriage to Kurt Cobain, and relationship with her daughter. She has a 2012 deadline and we wonder if she will meet it. Meanwhile her former assistant is shopping around a juicy tell-all called “Get Me a Xanax!” (We LOVE that title!) about the year she spent working for Courtney. The tormented assistant, Jessica Labrie, promised to reveal how Courtney destroys potential romances, deludes herself about drug use while claiming she’s clean and sober, and maybe how she set her apartment on fire. We hope Jessica gets a deal because THIS is the book we’re dying to read!

WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE FOR COURTNEY LOVE’S DAUGHTER FRANCES

In 2009, Frances Cobain filed deposition papers when she was seeking a restraining order against her mother Courtney Love and sordid details from these papers have just been revealed in the NY Daily News. Frances charged that her mother is a hoarder with mountains of stuff piled up from online shopping sprees. She said that her mother exists on xanax, adderall, sonata, and abilify, along with sugar and cigarettes – and rarely eats food. She was so sloppy with her prescriptions that their dog ate some pills and died! Plus her mother frequently fell asleep while smoking in bed. What a way to grow up! The description is horrifying and Frances, 19, is lucky to have left when she did. Since then she has found love with musician Isaiah Silva and they are planning a wedding. (Why Courtney doesn’t have her own reality show is a mystery to us.)

We should ALL be grateful that Courtney Love HAS a driver and doesn’t endanger the streets by driving herself. She was photographed stumbling out of the W party at Chateau Marmont this weekend and she would have hit the pavement HARD if her dutiful driver had not caught her and stood her back up. She clung to his neck as she made her way to the car. Do you suppose she gave him a good tip for performing beyond the call of duty? We imagine her daughter Frances reading about situations like this and feeling she did the right thing by separating herself from her mother.

Courtney Love’s estranged daughter Frances Cobain, 19, has informed her Facebook friends that she is engaged. She’s apparently been dating musician Isaiah Silva for the past year – he’s front man for the band The Rambles. We can see Frances’ attraction to him – he does bear a passing resemblance to her late father, but this is worrisome because she recently inherited a large amount of money from her father Kurt Cobain’s estate. She’s LOADED and she already spent 1.9 million on a house in the Hollywood Hills to share with Isaiah. She’s young, rich, and needy, and we hope this guy isn’t taking advantage of her.

Courtney Love is in New York wearing some unflattering reading glasses. She’s on the phone, probably trying to talk her way out of that jewelry lawsuit. Believe it or not, New York jeweler Jacob & Co lent her some pricey diamonds to wear to an event in September and SOMEHOW they got lost. (She claims she gave them to the staff at the Mercer Hotel to return for her.) Now she owes Jacob around $100,000 but we can’t figure out why anyone in their right mind would lend Courtney expensive jewelry. We’ve heard that it’s VERY difficult to collect when Courtney owes you money….
