COURTNEY LOVE; PLAYING WITH FIRE

Whatever’s going on in Courtney Love’s life right now, it can’t be good. Radaronline reports that firemen were called to her New York residence at 2 AM this morning because her drapes caught on fire. She only had slight burns on her hands and refused treatment. But how freaked out must her landlord be? Since February, she’s been renting a $27,000 a month luxury townhome in the West Village that appeared in Architectural Digest two years ago. We’re betting the place won’t be so photogenic when she departs. (Above, she’s with Jack Donoghue of the band Salem, who may or may not be her boyfriend.)

LIKE KENDRA WILKINSON, COURTNEY LOVE LACKS “ELEGANCE”

Courtney Love’s face has never looked better, but the rest of her…not so much. Even the expensive dresses don’t disguise her problems. (If you like this dress- watch for it on her eBay site Courtney Love Couture.) Now she’s being sued by her former lawyers (from 2009) who represented her efforts to pursue money allegedly stolen from Kurt Cobain’s estate. The legal team asked her to “refrain from substance abuse” during their work relationship and she flat-out FIRED them. Not only that, but she suggested they took “a bribe.” Hence the lawsuit. It never ends.

WOULD YOU WANT TO WEAR COURTNEY LOVE’S USED CLOTHES?

Courtney Love is leaving yet another beach party in Cannes, looking thoroughly thrashed. Maybe THAT’S why nobody is bidding those designer dresses that she is attempting to sell on eBay listed under Courtney Love Couture. She has outfits she has worn by Givenchy, Gucci, Galliano, etc. on sale at substantial prices, and so far no bids. Maybe that’s because she is so often photographed staggering around looking like she slept in her garments and nobody wants to pay that much to wear her second hand clothes.

COURTNEY LOVE: THINK BEFORE YOU TWEET!

Be careful what you say on Twitter. Courtney Love just made history with a lawsuit brought against her for insults she made on Twitter. Courtney chose to settle the dispute and it cost her $430,000 in payments spread over four years. The battle started with Courtney NOT paying for $4000 worth of clothing she purchased from NY designer Dawn Simorangkir. (Courtney is in the habit of stiffing designers and stylists.) The designer demanded her money and Courtney tweeted a tirade of insults, describing Dawn with words such as “asswipe, nasty lying hosebag and thief.” The designer’s defamation suit resulted in the hefty settlement that might instill caution in all of us.

COURTNEY LOVE TAKES A TRIP

Courtney Love gets around – and she falls down in the nicest places. She’s pictured here in London leaving Public – a club noted for it’s eclectic music and strong drinks. Despite being helped out the door, Courtney nearly fell several times trying to get to her car.

COURTNEY LOVE TWEETED HERSELF INTO A LAWSUIT

Courtney Love has the dubious honor of being the first celebrity sued for defamation on Twitter. New York designer Dawn Simorangkir demanded payment for a few thousand dollars worth of clothing that Courtney owed her and Love took to Twitter and blasted the designer with a tirade of appalling insults. The comments spread quickly among her fans. Among other things, she called the designer a drug-pushing prostitute with a history of assault and battery. The resulting lawsuit heads to court this month and it will set a Twitter precedent. We know that Courtney is in the habit of taking clothes and services from people and refusing to pay because she “is a celebrity and it’s free publicity for them.” Let’s see if she can weasel out of this one.

IT’S NO MISTAKE – COURTNEY STILL HAS THAT FACE!

Just in case you were thinking that Courtney Love’s “new face” was the result of photo manipulation or unusual lighting, we have a picture of her freshly arrived in New York for the reopening of the Chanel Soho Boutique on Friday. And her face still looks flawless. We’re betting that the appointment book of the plastic surgeon, Dr Sam Rizk, who did her facial rejuvenation – is filling up fast.

WHERE COURTNEY LOVE GOT HER NEW FACE

For the past few months Courtney Love, 47, (above in New York) has been walking around with what’ s been described as a “new face.” Last year she appeared thin and drawn after weight fluctuations. Right now she’s in Europe performing and there has been considerable speculation about how she achieved her youthful and undeniably fresh look. Sources say she went to plastic surgeon Dr Sam Rizk in New York and had facial rejuvenation involving fat transfer to her face. The fat supposedly contains stem cells that plump and tighten the skin. Whatever she’s doing – it works!

FRANCES COBAIN IS QUIETLY BUILDING HER OWN LIFE WITHOUT COURTNEY LOVE

Frances Bean Cobain is looking slimmer and prettier and appears to be doing quite well without guidance from her mother Courtney Love. She’s pictured here arriving at LAX – apparently she has put her plans to attend Bard College in New York on hold. We hear she’s spending the next year in Paris working on her art. (She had a very successful show at La Luz de Jesus gallery in LA) Frances, 18, will be staying in Marianne Faithfull’s Paris apartment while Marianne is on tour and recording elsewhere. Note: Frances is reading The Sane Society by Erich Fromm.

DESIGNERS BEWARE: COURTNEY LOVE HAS A TRICK UP HER SLEEVE

Courtney Love SAYS she launched her whatcourtneyworetoday.com website featuring her OWN photos because she was tired of seeing gross paparazzi photos of herself all over the internet. Every day a new fashion photo is posted on her site and comments are invited. We know Courtney ALL too well and feel the REAL reason she launched the site is to publicize the names of designers she wears. Courtney is famous for stiffing stylists and designers so now she can point to her site and say “Why should I pay you? – look at all the free publicity I’m getting for you!”
