Seems like forever since we’ve seen Janet Jackson out and having a good time. Janet looks adorable in her 1920’s costume for a London charity event called the Gatsby Gala. She’s dressed more like a society matron than a flapper- but she IS a mom now. She probably brought her little boy Eissa, 2, to visit his dad Wissam Al Mana, who lives in the UK.

We saw Paul Reubens at Allee Willis’s memorial service last month and he’s as cute as ever. He certainly wasn’t done up as Pee Wee, but he wears wire rimmed glasses and he’s got style. SO nice to hear that he just might be bringing his much loved character Pee Wee Herman back in a “dark – Valley of the Dolls” described update. In The Pee Wee Herman Story, Pee Wee emerges from prison, becomes a yodeling star, moves to Hollywood and ends up in rehab for alcoholism. While trying to get the new movie produced, Paul just started a series of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure personal appearances where he shows the movie and talks about it afterward for his committed fans.

Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger have been rivals since day one – they both started out around the same time and (In fact, I introduced them as we were leaving a screening back in the 70’s) Stallone started working out in the gym like a madman for his Rocky movies and he was always competitive with Arnold, who was very sure of himself. After years of boxoffice rivalry they became friends and they enjoy teasing each other. Both guys have dyed their hair for years, and recently Sly observed that he looks pretty good with grey hair and he’s going natural. He’s flaunting photos on Instagram – will Arnold take the hint and give up the dye also?

In case you haven’t noticed, identical twins Joel and Benji Madden’s wives are two of the happiest women in Hollywood! And both Nicole Richie and Cameron Diaz are extremely attractive and wealthier than their husbands! The explanation is simple: these ordinary looking guys know how to behave and how to treat women. Yes they’re musicians, but neither of the brothers has ever used alcohol or drugs! They may not LOOK particularly refined, but they have exceptional manners and bend over backwards to treat their women well and raise their children right. Their relationships have always lasted a long time and their marriages probably will too! These twins should write a book.

Some sort of injury kept Madonna from performing the first night of her string of shows at the London Palladium, but she made up for it last night. Phones and smart watches were taken from all audience members when they arrived and sealed in pouches that they kept with them. On the way out they passed the pouch over a device and it opened. The crowd loved her and she looked happy on the way out. Above, she’s leaving the Palladium (with her young boyfriend right behind her) wearing a flashy Versace wrap coat with her Madame X logo on the back – her pricey version of a tour jacket, along with custom Nikes. An NO eyepatch for a change!

We’re betting that Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis had no idea back in 1991 that their film Thelma & Louise would become a symbol of the women’s movement in the future. Their emancipated characters are beloved by women to this day. So it make sense that the Women in Motion organization, which aims to shine a light on women’s contributions to cinema, would screen that film for their event at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Both Susan and Geena are activists for women’s rights and in 2004 Geena founded the Institute on Gender In Media that researches gender representation in media.

Caitlyn Jenner walked the red carpet at the National Television Awards in London after she was a big hit on the I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here! reality show. Caitlyn and a bunch of UK celebrities were dumped (via sky-diving) into an Australian jungle and tormented with insects and snakes etc, for 30 days.( Caitlyn said the hardest part for her was wearing a swimsuit!) She didn’t win, but she got the highest salary – around $650,000 for the experience. She fared better than she did as Bruce when he took part in the same show in 2003. Caitlyn, now 70, doesn’t really need the money, but says she wanted to challenge herself and was happy that she made some new friends.

At first we didn’t RECOGNIZE this Glamazon – she turned out to be Blake Lively! Blake’s new bombshell look is due to the fact that she only gave birth to her third daughter four months ago. (She and Ryan Reynolds are very secretive about their kids- no photos, no facts.) It’s nice that 5’10” Blake is embracing her voluptuous figure and she looks amazing. Ironically, she’s promoting her new action movie, The Rhythm Section, and her character in the film is very skinny.

Kobe Bryant didn’t know how lucky he was in 2003 when he was accused by a 19 year old hotel employee in Colorado of rape. In those days a guy with money and power like Harvey Weinstein and Kobe Bryant got away with rape simply by intimidating the accuser. At first Kobe lied to police about having sex with the young woman – eventually he claimed it was consensual but had a hard time explaining the bruises on her neck where he strangled her. The woman’s name was RELEASED to the press and she received so many death threats from Kobe fans that she had to move. She lost faith in the legal system and refused (was afraid) to testify, so charges were dropped. Kobe made a strange “apology” to her and her family and settled a civil suit she later filed for an estimated 2.5 million. If this had happened today, Kobe would likely have been convicted of rape, and his image tarnished forever. It’s a miracle that his wife Vanessa forgave him…

Gorgeous Priyanka Chopra (with husband Nick Jonas) rarely totally blows it when it comes to fashion, but she didn’t know how to dress for the festive Grammys. This looks like the same neckline Jennifer Lopez made famous in her green Versace at the Grammys years ago. But the neckline does NOTHING for Priyanka, and the rest of the drab and weirdly fringed dress makes the actress look oddly mature and out of style.
