ROB KARDASHIAN IS TAKING A BREAK FROM THE FAMILY
The men related to the Kardashian family don’t seem to fare as well as the rolling-in-dough females. Bruce Jenner split with his wife Kris and is going through the motions of a sex change. Scott Disick appears to be on another substance bender. Lamar Odom is a total mess, and now Rob Kardashian is at his wit’s end. He’s struggling to lose weight he gained after his split from Rita Ora and he’s losing his hair. He’s been embarrassed and hiding out but was REALLY upset when his mother Kris heartlessly suggested she get him a contract with a weight loss company AND a hair loss company. For the last three months he’s been quietly living in Florida, away from the family (except for occasional get-togethers) and out of the spotlight, while he pulls himself together.

SURI CRUISE IS GOING TO BE TALLER THAN HER FATHER
Suri is in Miami with her mother Katie Holmes, and the seven year old already has some looong legs. Katie lounged by the pool and fiddled with her phone in a pink bikini, while Suri, in a Hello Kitty bikini, played with a friend. So far, she takes after her mom.
SURPRISE! AXL ROSE MIGHT BE THE PERFECT TENANT
Axl Rose never disappoints. The Guns n’ Roses singer rented an apartment in New York and his landlord wrote a fascinating story for New York magazine about his experience. Axl was looking for a large space without glaring sunlight and fell in love with a 5300 square foot place in Tribeca. The landlord was nervous, given Rose’s hotel room wrecking history, but he offered to pay the considerable rent six months in advance if necessary. Move-in day came and went and Axl never showed. Weeks went by and the landlord noted that Axl was busy performing in various places around the world. The rent was always on time but Axl never moved in. After a year he renewed the lease at a higher rate but STILL didn’t show up. The rockstar life? The landlord decided that Axl never set foot in the place after his first look. At the end of the second year, Axl’s management suggested that he NOT renew the lease again. The landlord says he LOVED his musician tenant and would give him a great recommendation!
CAN WOMEN IN AFGHANISTAN HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR?
The season’s first snowfall in Afghanistan brought out these bundled up women waiting for a bus in Kabul. Keep in mind that women in Afghanistan have the lowest life expectancy in the world – 42.5 years. Adding insult to injury, busses don’t bother to stop at all if only women are waiting – they drive right by. And if there are men in the waiting group, they shove their way to the front so they can get on first! Women in Afghanistan don’t stand a chance.

LADY GAGA’S EXBOYFRIEND DOESN’T THINK HE WAS SUCH A BAD GUY
Lady Gaga had a HUGE CRUSH on bartender/drummer Luc Carl that started around 2005. He was the hot bartender at seedy rock n roll hangouts in New York and the fantasy of many boozed up rock chicks. The more she loved him, the more he treated her badly. They had a tumultuous off and on relationship for six years that inspired many of her best songs. But Gaga got WAY too successful and Luc’s considerable ego couldn’t handle it. He broke her heart but she survived and went on to meet the very fine Taylor Kinney. Not only is Taylor drop dead gorgeous and OK with Gaga’s career, but he has a successful TV series, “Chicago Fire.” Luc is now disgruntled about the way he was portrayed in a book about Gaga but we bet he’s sorry he missed the gravy train. AMANDA BYNES LOOKS WELL MEDICATED
Amanda Bynes doesn’t look particularly happy, but she doesn’t look crazed either, so that’s a good thing. She got her hair done at a salon Sunday and afterward walked the family dogs with her parents. Hopefully, the new year will be a better one for her.

ROBIN ROBERTS EASED HER WAY OUT OF THE CLOSET
Did Robin Roberts realize that her offhand comment on Facebook saying thanks to her family, and “longtime girlfriend Amber” would escalate into a big news story? It was a very matter-of-fact way to ease herself out of the closet and she certainly played it DOWN. It seems that everyone she worked with was aware of her ten year relationship with massage therapist Amber Laign, but not necessarily her Good Morning America audience. Robin survived a major health crisis and has a LOT to be thankful for this year. We bet she’s relieved that the news is out, but now the hunt is ON for photos of Robin and Amber together.

KANYE WEST AND HIS ARTISTIC PREDILECTIONS
We simply cannot let the issue of the handbag that Kanye West gave Kim for Christmas pass by without comment. Granted, Kim may be tough to shop for- because she seems to already have everything – materialistic, that is. Kanye was determined to show both his generosity and the “artistic edge” he claims to have acquired, so he took a $16,000 Hermes Birkin bag and had artist George Condo paint on it. Condo’s work has been known to sell for a million dollars, but this looks like an atrocity to us. We think he ruined a perfectly nice bag, but Kim says she loves it and posted this photo on Instagram.
NAOMI CAMPBELL IS A BILLIONAIRE MAGNET
Apparently Naomi Campbell isn’t the least bit persnickety about the billionaires who take her shopping. Another of her “dear friends” is Nigerian oil billionaire Kola Aluko, who loves celebrities and is known for throwing huge sums of money around while his fellow Nigerians suffer and die in poverty. He recently purchased yet another extravagant property in Los Angeles – a Bel Air mansion priced at 29 million. He already has a 50 million dollar yacht and recently enjoyed a 1.5 million dollar bottle of champagne to the disgust of his impoverished two wives and children back in Nigeria. Naomi loves to go shopping with the generous Kola, but she won’t “date” him – not because of the wives- because he’s not all that attractive. (Click HERE to see them shopping)
