PAPARAZZI STRESS DROVE DINA LOHAN TO DRIVE DRUNK!

Unbelievable! Dina Lohan’s lawyer Mark Heller must be quite a piece of work. When she went to court for speeding and DUI (her blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit) Heller stated that his client has no problem with alcohol and doesn’t need treatment. When police pulled her over Dina said she was “being followed.” Her lawyer claimed that the paparazzi caused her to drink too much. He said the stress caused by the paparazzi and media attention drove her to drink. Keep in mind, this is a woman who has been COURTING the press and desperately trying to become a celebrity herself! Victims of drunk drivers are not going to see the humor in her blaming the paparazzi!

SOME CELEBRITIES DON’T CARE ABOUT HALLE BERRY’S NEW PAPARAZZI LAW

Halle Berry’s paparazzi law protecting celebrity children from being photographed was passed by Governor Brown and now stars’ kids can only be photographed with parents permission. We’re guessing that certain moms- like Bethenny Frankel (above) and Rachel Zoe – really enjoy being photographed with their children and will not complain. We may never see Halle Berry’s daughter again or her new baby, but didn’t she just get rid of the reason she wanted to move to Paris? She told the judge her child wouldn’t be harassed there, but now she doesn’t have that excuse.

STEVEN TYLER IS CHALLENGING THE FIRST AMENDMENT

Steven Tyler REALLY didn’t like photos taken of him on the beach in Hawaii. He went so far as to ask a senator there to sponsor legislation making it a civil violation if people take unwanted photos or videos of others without permission. The Aerosmith singer owns a million dollar home in Maui and hates seeing unflattering pics of himself splashed all over magazines. Senate members approved the “Steven Tyler bill” to protect celebrities, and now it goes to the House for voting, where clearer heads are expected to prevail.

We can’t WAIT to hear the real story behind Chris Brown’s car crash. According to TMZ, Chris claims he wrecked his car trying to avoid the paparazzi “chasing” him – so it wasn’t his fault. Hmmm…It’s funny how he says the paps were “chasing “ him and not “following” him, which twists the whole story. Celebrities are followed by photographers every day, and there is certainly no reason to be afraid or speed and compromise safety. Since Chris is challenged in the veracity department, we eagerly await the other side of the story.

LeAnn Rimes arrived at LAX and she was outraged when paparazzi that she didn’t hire, surrounded her with cameras. She prefers to set up photo ops and have photographers follow her around and shoot pix when she’s wearing a bikini on vacation. She’s always made up and photo ready. Apparently she can’t get enough swimsuit photos into circulation. She doesn’t look so hot when she gets off a plane, so she hides behind her hair and other people. Here we go with the BLAME BLAME BLAME again. The devastating death of young photographer Chris Guerra cannot be blamed on Justin Bieber, whose car he was following, OR on the lack of paparazzi laws. Bieber’s friend, who was driving the Ferrari, was pulled over for speeding, NOT the paparazzi. When Guerra stopped and attempted to photograph the cops ticketing the driver (whom he believed to be Justin) they told him to get back to his car across the street. Sadly, the distracted photographer didn’t think and walked into traffic where he was hit by a car. We side with the paparazzi – it’s not fair or necessary to legislate anti-paparazzi laws. Speeding and reckless driving are already against the law for everyone. We’ve never understood why celebrities try to out-speed paparazzi – no one is trying to kill them. The photographer in this case did no wrong and put HIMSELF in harm’s way.

Granted, we’re trying to make Rob Pattinson feel better, but there IS an upside if Rob cannot forgive Kristen Stewart for cheating and they call the whole thing off. Rob has always been desperately uncomfortable in the limelight, and since he and his Twilight costar started dating, they have been a HUGE TARGET for paparazzi. Together as a couple, their photos are worth big money. Separately, not so much. If Rob gets a new girlfriend NOT in the business, the first photos will pull in some money, but after that, value goes down. That means Rob will cease being continuously stalked and have some PRIVACY in his life – something he’s been wanting. No more sunglasses and baseball caps! So even if his romance with Kristen is over, he might be happier in some ways.

NICK NOLTE KIDS AROUND WITH HIS LITTLE GIRL SOPHIE



When Nick Nolte, 71, spotted paparazzi while he was shopping in Malibu with his daughter, Sophie, 4, he pulled out a water gun and playfully shot at them – much to the little girl’s amusement. Sophie’s mother is Nick’s longtime partner Clytie Lane. Nick’s next movie, Gangster Squad, with Ryan Gosling, is coming out in September. It’s about the LAPD trying to keep the east coast mafia out of LA in the 40’s and 50’s.
