Somebody PLEASE remind Kim and Kourtney Kardashian that they are in New York now and people don’t walk around the city in paper flip flops in November. It’s COLD! And it’s dirty! The Kardashian sisters are accustomed to strolling around Beverly Hills after their mani-pedis, airing out their feet, and it’s just not done in Manhattan. New York girls wait for their nails to dry and put their boots back on.

MACAULAY CULKIN STILL LOOKS BOYISH AT THIRTY

The onetime object of Michael Jackson’s affection, Macaulay Culkin, seems to be spending most of his time in New York now. (As you may recall, Macaulay DID defend Michael during molestation charges.) At one time it was believed that Mac was the real father of Michael’s kids, but they don’t seem to look like him. As far as we know, Culkin and his girlfriend Mila Kunis are still an item after 8 years. Mac still struggles with his career, but supposedly has a movie coming out next year called “Service Man.” Can you believe he’s 30 already?

WILL NEW YORKERS GO FOR THE SEXY KARDASHIAN FASHIONS AT DASH?

The whining Kardashian sisters Kim and Khloe visited Spring Street in Soho, where they’re planning to open their new DASH retail store and E! cameras followed, so naturally a crowd gathered. We wouldn’t be surprised if E! is financing this shop for them. The question is: will New Yorkers take to their sexed-up, flashy styles? Soho has always been one of the hippest shopping areas in the city, so it remains to be seen. Both sisters are carrying big Hermes bags, so of course they have bodyguards. Perhaps to please the cameras, the girls stopped at an ice cream truck for triple cones with sprinkles.

WOODY ALLEN WISHES HE COULD AFFORD TO FILM IN NEW YORK LIKE JENNIFER ANISTON

Woody Allen and Soon- Yi and their daughters Bechet and Manzie are in beautiful Oviedo, Spain, where he filmed much of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. He’s in Spain for the premier of his latest movie “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger” with Naomi Watts, Antonio Banderas, and Josh Brolin. In Madrid, he announced that he can no longer afford to film in New York and that’s why his movies take place in Europe. It’s funny that Jennifer Aniston’s movies have big New York budgets and Woody’s don’t.

Jenni JWoww and The Situation stopped for a quick breakfast on their way to the gym this morning. Snooki must be sleeping late. For the third week in a row, Jersey Shore has been the MOST WATCHED TV show in New York- beating out all the top ten regulars like “60 Minutes.” According to Nielsen, the show had an astounding audience of 800,000 viewers. Keep in mind, New Yorkers consider themselves the most sophisticated people in the world.

“MOTHER KNOWS BEST:” JOAN RIVERS WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET MELISSA A JOB

We thought something was fishy when Joan Rivers put her Marie Antoinette-style New York penthouse up for sale in May for 25 million dollars. (Click here for details on The Real Estalker) Joan originally moved from LA to New York because she felt it was the only place a mature woman could find a decent social life – and she has THRIVED there, rubbing elbows with high society. So what possessed her to pack up and LEAVE? The prospect of having a reality show with her lookalike daughter is probably the only thing that could have pried her out of her beloved NYC. Joan is moving in with Melissa and her son Cooper and possibly a boyfriend in LA for their show called “Mother Knows Best.” Let’s face it, Melissa has mouths to feed and Joan has always been there for her. The show will air in December on WE.

KEANU REEVES SEEMS OBLIVIOUS TO THE AGONIZING HEAT

We’ve gotten used to seeing guys dress without regard for the weather – wearing tank tops, shorts, and flip flops, on cool 50 degree winter evenings in Los Angeles. But new Yorkers were somewhat agog when Keanu Reeves was spotted walking around during last week’s blistering heat wave (high humidity in the 90’s) dressed in a sport jacket, jeans and sturdy boots. Not to mention that heavy beard.

MACAULAY CULKIN MANAGES A HEAVY LOAD

Macaulay Culkin, 29, was seen schlepping this big red suitcase in New York while smoking and listening to music on his ear buds. He and his beautiful girlfriend Mila Kunis split their time between New York and LA. The “Home Alone” star was one of the most successful child actors in history, but doesn’t seem to find many adult roles. (Although he did appear last year on the TV series “Kings.”) Note the chipped nail polish.
