MARIAH CAREY EXAGGERATED THE IMPORTANCE OF NICK’S CANNON’S KIDNEY STONES

We’re still laughing about the revelation that Nick Cannon’s “dramatic” illness was not so dramatic after all. His wife Mariah Carey tweeted for friends to “pray for Nick” when he was hospitalized in Aspen for kidney “problems.” She included a photo of herself languishing at his bedside. It turns out all Nick had was kidney stones – a fairly common and not so dangerous, but uncomfortable, disorder. It’s funny how Mariah tried to turn it into a huge drama. The healthy couple was photographed at the BET Awards this weekend. It looks like some extra straps were added to her dress to keep the top from slipping down.

DID JAY-Z EXPECT A SHOOT-OUT IN THE HOSPITAL WHEN BEYONCE GAVE BIRTH?

What the heck is going on with Jay-Z and Beyonce that would make them need a BULLETPROOF door for her hospital room? The couple spent TWO MONTHS renovating (and a rumored million dollars) the huge hospital recovery suite for her birth at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Besides the black bulletproof door, windows were darkened so no one could see in and the hallways were curtained off from the rest of the hospital. Elaborate security was prepared – both private and the hospital’s own. Whether it really cost a million dollars or not, it sounds like something Al Capone or John Gotti might have done. Other expectant parents and their visitors were infuriated when they were shuttled in and out of rooms to make sure Beyonce’s visitors were not seen. Beyonce had a make up artist and hairdresser prepare her for well-wishers and the exit with Blue Ivy that nobody was allowed to witness.

Brawl Diet Eyes of Noctum Hospital Nicolas Cage Weston Cage

WHAT REALLY CAUSED WESTON CAGE AND HIS TRAINER TO BRAWL ON THE STREET?

Dieting is hell, but who would guess that it would enrage Weston Cage to the point of brawling and getting locked up in a psycho ward ? Apparently he and his trainer were at the modest Farmer’s Kitchen restaurant in Hollywood where you would expect everything to be healthy. When his trainer nixed the food that the hungry death metal singer wanted to order off the menu, Cage (frontman for Eyes of Noctum, video above) flipped out and tried to kick him. After numerous bloody punches, the trainer subdued Cage on the sidewalk until cops could cart him away. (Sounds like they’re BOTH on steroids or some kind of machismo booster.) Nicolas Cage is with Weston at the hospital where he’s under observation. Weston’s music is definitely on the dark and violent side, but he always seemed like an okay kid.

GOOD NEWS: OJ SIMPSON WAS BEATEN UP IN PRISON! BAD NEWS: HE SURVIVED!

If anyone every deserved to be miserable, it’s OJ Simpson. We were happy to her that the egotistical double murderer got a harsh beating from other prisoners at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center. According to the Enquirer, he was targeted by a group of white supremacists because he was heard bragging about his success with beautiful white women and he said that once they had sex with him, they never wanted to sleep with white guys again. Racist skinheads waited for an opportunity in the exercise yard and jumped OJ – they gave him such a beating that he ended up in the infirmary for two and a half weeks. Prison officials tried to keep it quiet, but now he pays other inmates to be his bodyguards.

Tori Spelling even turns her husband’s release from the hospital into a photo op! We had to laugh when we saw these very calculated pictures of Tori rolling her husband Dean McDermott’s wheelchair out of the hospital. The balloons and placement of the kids make a great photo. Dean had an accident while dirt bike riding with his buddies last week and suffered a nasty puncture wound on his right side. He did vow to quit the risky sport. Another family that loves the limelight.

It’s ironic how David Hasselhoff’s kids try so hard to get him to ADMIT he’s an alcoholic, but he just continues to deny everything. He was hospitalized yet AGAIN Sunday when his 17 year old long suffering daughter Hayley blew the whistle on him. Apparently the “America’s Got >Talent” judge was out of control after guzzling vodka and Hayley called her mom who alerted 911. Her poor-excuse-for-a-father was rushed to the hospital, dried out, and released the next day, as usual. This time he came up with an excuse that he mixed ear infection medication with anabuse and got dizzy. Sure.
