EVA LONGORIA: “DESPERATE” FOR ATTENTION

Who does Eva Longoria think she’s kidding? She’s girlishly claiming to be embarrassed by her red carpet “wardrobe malfunction“ in Cannes and promising it “won’t happen again.” This was no accident. Eva may be subconsciously desperate for attention (why is a TV actress in Cannes, anyway?) or an exhibitionist. But she’s 38 years old and knows full well that if you wear a long gown with a long slit that not wearing underwear is just ASKING for trouble. We’re thinking she LOVED the resulting publicity – it’s a shame she couldn’t get it in a more tasteful manner.

We are always amused by the fact that Keanu Reeves, 48, who can be SO hot., chooses to play DOWN his looks when he’s on his own time. Most actors going to Cannes would get an expensive haircut and pack up the Prada suits. Not Keanu. Here he is partying on a yacht in Cannes and he looks like he hasn’t seen a mirror in a very long time. But, of course, we still love him.

Paris Hilton is secretly thrilled that her former friend Kim Kardashian, who stole her thunder, is being tormented by the press for her lumpy figure and terrible maternity outfits. She’s even more pleased to see that Kim’s boyfriend Kanye West seems to be avoiding his baby mama and their relationship is FAR from Ideal. All this has inspired Paris to dress up and flaunt her model boyfriend River Viiperi while they frolic at glamorous parties in Cannes. We bet she’s praying that Kim NEVER loses that baby weight.

Producers threw a lavish Hunger Games beach party that got rained out – the first five days of the festival have been soaking wet. Cannes Keith Urban Movies Nicole Kidman Zac Efron

NICOLE KIDMAN: HER MOVIE “THE PAPERBOY” IS DEBATABLE, HER MARRIAGE IS NOT….

Nicole Kidman married the right man this time around. She arrived at the Cannes premier of her steamy Southern noir film “The Paperboy” with hubby Keith Urban sweetly carrying her handbag for her. Tom Cruise didn’t do that – he had a Scientologist do the carrying. Unfortunately, much of the stuffy audience at Cannes laughed at the wrong times during Nicole’s movie. It’s had mixed reviews to say the least – the movie was described as “so bad it’s good,” and “queasily funny” (especially the scene where Nicole’s character pees on Zac Efron’s character after he’s bitten by a jelly fish.) although some observers really liked it. Everyone who saw it agreed the actor’s performances were exceptional.

KIM KARDASHION ROCKS A MATRONLY DRESS IN CANNES

Kim Kardashian took a wrong turn in her closet this morning in Cannes. She and Kanye West spent the afternoon at Nikki Beach and whe was wearing this long sleeve flesh colored unflattering panel front dress. It’s low cut, but quite un-sexy and maybe a size too small. A better choice might be something crisp and summery in white or a bright color. Kanye looks far more comfortable and appropriate than Kim.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO NURSED HIS BROKEN HEART BY BEHAVING RATHER PIGGISHLY IN CANNES

Leonardo DiCaprio is apparently not TOO heartbroken about his split with Bar Rafaeli. He and a group of buddies immediately took off for Cannes with the intent of partying till they drop. They all got together on Jamie Foxx’s large rented yacht and and invited every pretty girl they laid their eyes on. The parties lasted all night and someone who just got back mentioned “tons of alcohol and hot and cold running call girls – hookers galore” on that yacht. Leo WAS photographed with Blake Lively, but we doubt if she knew what the hard partying Leo was up to after hours.

Courtney Love is leaving yet another beach party in Cannes, looking thoroughly thrashed. Maybe THAT’S why nobody is bidding those designer dresses that she is attempting to sell on eBay listed under Courtney Love Couture. She has outfits she has worn by Givenchy, Gucci, Galliano, etc. on sale at substantial prices, and so far no bids. Maybe that’s because she is so often photographed staggering around looking like she slept in her garments and nobody wants to pay that much to wear her second hand clothes.

When you’re Gwen Stefani, you get invited to all the best places. Luck Gwen and her family visited Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich on his famous 300 million dollar yacht in Cannes. The 115 ft yacht is the world’s largest privately owned ship and is called a “sea mansion.” One thing Gwen and Gavin and Zuma and Kingston don’t have to worry about is security when they’re with Abramovich – he has a security staff (personal army) of 40 people.
