JUSTIN BIEBER HAS SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

He was smart to ditch the braids, but Justin Bieber is now determined to bring back the polyester leisure suit! (gold chains optional) Fashion savvy types will remember the double-knit spread collar 1970’s suit that was machine washable and needed no ironing! Yes, it’s flexible for dancing, but it CAN get very hot and moist inside. We’re thinking it will become available soon in Bieber’s Drew House fashion collection- probably retailing for around $500.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE WEEK: ERIC CLAPTON

Eric Clapton can be admired for his music, but not his intelligence. He’s joined the anti-science crowd and become a loud critic of UK measures to slow the transmission of Covid. He’s protesting government restrictions and announced that he will not perform at venues or clubs that require audience members to be vaccinated. Despite defending freedom of choice for his fans, he DID get vaccinated himself.

LET’S HOPE SEAN PENN STARTED A PRECEDENT

It’s about time. We don’t OFTEN agree with Sean Penn but this time we have say he’s absolutely RIGHT. Sean laid down the law on the set of his film Gaslit with Julia Roberts and announced that he won’t show up for work until EVERYONE on the set is vaccinated. Crew members working on set and close to actors were required to be vaccinated but crew members not in close proximity were not. Penn is definitely throwing his weight around, but in a GOOD way. Free vaccinations will be given at an on-site clinic to make it convenient for everyone. Productions should have done this a LONG time ago and this might catch on, so Penn is doing everyone a favor.

LANCE BASS: BEWARE OF YOUR DERMATOLOGIST!

Lance Bass must have been shocked when he saw TMZ today and their big story featured an anti-gay rant by his dermatologist Dr Alex Khadavi. (We went to Dr Khadavi years ago for injections and his looks have changed ENTIRELY since then!) Khadavi had a huge tantrum in the lobby of his swanky West Hollywood building, Granville Towers, on July 7. Years ago he bought the top floor penthouse from Portia de Rossi (she went on to greener pastures with Ellen) We’re not entirely sure WHO Khadavi was cursing out, but he repeatedly used the anti gay slur “fa****”and said he wanted to KILL them. The whole scene was filmed by a security camera in the lobby. When the Homeowners Association saw the tape they were appalled and one gay member feared the threat was against him and his boyfriend, and he got a restraining order. Not long after that the tape was mysteriously released by SOMEONE to TMZ. Dr Khadavi was NOT pleased and he is filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the building for filming him without notice AND releasing the tape. He’s expected to win and the building tenants, who will have to pay, are NOT happy!

OH NO! SNL’S CHLOE FINEMAN IS A SCIENTOLOGIST!

Sorry to reveal that the hottest new addition to the Saturday Night Live cast, Chloe Fineman, is a lifelong Scientologist and the “church” is taking credit for her success! Chloe’s parents are influential and dedicated Scientologists and Chloe herself is already “clear” – a high ranking member. She was a student at their Acting Center and the church boasts about getting her on SNL, although she DID graduate from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2011! Keep in mind, SNL has made fun of Scientology in the past and Chloe is the first Scientologist cast member that we know of. This could be interesting…

HAYDEN PANETTIERE: YOU’RE NOT FOOLING US!

Hayden Panettiere seems to be falling back into some old bad habits – and the worst habit of all is her thuggish ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson. He recently got out of jail where he served 45 days for domestic violence against Hayden – he’d been arrested twice before for the same crime. After all that, the unsavory pair were seen TOGETHER in West Hollywood this week. Hickerson insisted they were NOT back together – that he’s in therapy and was trying to make amends for his crimes and establish a friendship. Sure. And Hayden insists she is sober. But the Heroes and Nashville actress hasn’t worked for the last five years. Her six year old daughter Kaya is still living with Hayden’s ex-fiancee Wladimir Klitschko in Ukraine with his family. It’s sad that Hayden can’t get her act together sufficiently to raise her own daughter…

SIMON COWELL IS A CREATURE OF HABIT

Simon Cowell has spent his vacation in the same place in Barbados every summer since we can remember. Though the years he added a wife (Lauren Silverman) a child (Eric) and four dogs, who all come along. He adopted his most recently acquired dog at a charity event in Barbados. The family, along with helpers, fly in Simon’s private jet and stay in a lavish rented villa. His pooches are treated like royalty and Simon loves his dogs so much that he says he “cannot bear the thought of them NOT being around.” So he is contemplating cloning them all!

LET’S HEAR IT FOR WOMEN IN THEIR FIFTIES!

Every time we see a photo of the Sex & The City girls filming in New York, we get excited thinking about the revival series And Just Like That. This reboot would NOT have happened 20 years ago, because the main characters are now in their 50’s! Viewers have grown up watching these beloved women and we are eager to see how they are living their lives as mature women. How will Samantha’s absence be written into the script? Two new girlfriends of color will be a welcome and realistic addition to the cast. We hear that Carrie is now divorced from Mr Big – will she take up with Aiden (John Corbett’s character) again? Carrie’s funny gay friends are returning, and we wonder if Charlotte and Miranda are still happy with their guys Harry and Steve. Most important: we hope the brilliant writers from the original series are on board!

THE JOHNSONS: LIVING IT UP IN EUROPE

Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie like to spend a month every year on a cruise in Europe and this year they rented their favorite jumbo 281 foot yacht for 1.1 million dollars a week! Can you IMAGINE the luxury? Samuel L Jackson and LL Cool J and their significant others came along for the ride. The Johnsons’ colorful son EJ flew in this week to join the family and he could hardly wait to start shopping. We’re betting the family got a lot of stares when they were browsing the designer shops in Tuscany…
