Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Jason Segel, 41, took elaborate health precautions and pulled his sleeve down to cover his hand when he used a fan’s pen to sign an autograph at a recent Hollywood event. Funny thing- a few minutes later a pretty young woman reached out to shake his hand and he had no problem with THAT. Coincidentally or not, Jason and his girlfriend of 8 years, artist Alexis Mixter, broke up last month in a VERY civilized manner. Alexis said “We changed each other for the better” and they remain good friends. So the 6’4” actor is definitely single…

Alcoholics Anonymous Couples Jason Segal Michelle Williams

DID DRINKING CAUSE JASON SEGEL AND MICHELLE WILLIAMS TO BREAK UP, OR DID THE BREAK-UP CAUSE JASON TO DRINK?

As soon as we heard that comic Jason Segal appeared at an alcoholics Anonymous meeting last month, a lightbulb went off. THAT might explain why Michelle Williams and Jason split up. Before the February split they looked like a deliriously happy couple. But Michelle has a child, Matilda, and it’s possible that Jason’s party antics worried her. Granted, they live on two different coasts, but they also have flexible lives. Then we thought some more and it occurred to us that Jason might have been so devastated by the split that he took to the bottle. Either way, we’d like to see him clean up and win her back.
