No way could we ever imagine Queen Latifah’s no-nonsense Robyn McCall character on The Equalizer wearing THIS, but Latifah seems quite happy about it. Is she having a GONE With The Wind moment? There is a strong reminder of a vintage bed-skirt here. The talkative nanny who has been tormenting Olivia Wilde and her ex-fiance Jason Sudeikis has been describing their split and making Olivia look like a villain because it looks like she left her children’s father for younger Harry Styles. Olivia Insists the relationship was over long before she took up with Harry. But the nanny had one particularly disastrous revelation. She claimed that Olivia callously “got rid” of her sweet Golden Retriever, Gordon, because she “didn’t have time” for him – she was too busy with Harry. Apparently she heartlessly gave Gordon to her NY dog walker, and Jason didn’t complain because he “doesn’t like animals.” Dog lovers were appalled with this news and now both Olivia and Jason are less likeable – thanks to the nanny…

Last year, Hopper Penn, 29, and Dylan Penn, 31, were at the Cannes Film Festival with their father Sean Penn, presenting his film Flag Day, in which they both appeared. THIS year they are both at the Rome Film Festival with their OWN film, Signs of Love, with no help from their proud Dad. Both kids were introduced to acting in their father’s earlier films and fell in love with it. Dylan stars in Signs of Love as a young man struggling and selling drugs in a rough Philadelphia neighborhood who falls in love with a deaf girl from a well-off family. He begins to imagine a better life, but his alcoholic sister (played by Dylan) and low level companions make it difficult. Hopper and Dylan have appeared in a number of films but these are their biggest roles so far, so parents Sean and Robin Wright are both (separately) pleased.

It’s instantly apparent why designers want Kerry Washington to wear and show off their clothes. Unlike Eddie Redmayne, she makes everything look good- including this Ralph Lauren t-shirt creation. And she paired it with her radical new haircut – that not all women could get away with. Kerry is no dummy – the graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from George Washington University. She’s here promoting her new Netflix film for tweens and teens- The School For Good and Evil. Reviews are not excellent – Hollywood Reporter calls it a “fantasy misfire” – but can you blame her for wanting to please her kids?

Alyssa Milano brought her 8 year old daughter Elizabella to the Hollywood Reporter Women’s Power Lunch in Cannes, to learn about women’s activism. You might remember that Tarana Burke founded #MeToo back in 2006, but the movement didn’t really take OFF until Alyssa posted an important message in 2017. Alyssa tweeted “If you’ve been sexually abused or assaulted, write “me too” as a reply to this tweet.” (She wanted to illustrate the magnitude of the problem) It WORKED – they got 12 million responses in 24 hours! That was around the time that Harvey Weinstein was being investigated, and fortunately, Hollywood has never been the same…

The death of the most famous paparazzo, Ron Galella, brought back a lot of memories today. I met him back in the early 80’s and he was already a legend. Jackie Onassis had HATED him (she was his favorite target) and Marlon Brando had socked him in the face, broke his jaw and knocked out 5 teeth. Ron thought Brando did it because he revealed his tryst with Jackie! Ron preferred to be called a “photojournalist” and was always super-nice to me – unlike most street photographers, he tried to engage celebrities in fun conversation. Some really LIKED him. In New York and LA, Ron always took time to gossip with me (we turned up in a lot of the same places) – I was quite fond of him. He left behind some cool books of his photos…

Nick Cannon, 42, and his numerous baby mamas happily post photos of themselves celebrating birthdays, holidays etc separately, making him appear to be a devoted father. So far he is obviously not late with his support payments – none of the moms are complaining. But has he thought about the cost of college tuition? Nick and one baby mama, Bre Tiesi, 31, visited a pumpkin patch with their 3 month old baby Legendary Love (no kidding!) and indeed they look happy. But what about the other 8 kids (one died) who did NOT visit the pumpkin patch with dad? How do THEY feel? Looks like Nick thinks he’s doing the world a favor, and hints that he is NOT finished having semi-fatherless children. He’s setting quite an example for his sons – and daughters…

Designer Thom Browne hooked up fashion-wise with Janelle Monae for the London film Festival, and it’s a match made in heaven. At barely five feet tall, Janelle is a challenge to dress, but she more than makes up for it with enthusiasm for menswear. And NOBODY rocks a hat with more pizazz. She’s played a lot of serious roles on film and would love to have more fun- like Johnny Depp. Janelle says she does NOT admire Johnny as a person, but she does envy his career. She too, would like to play characters like Willy Wonka or Jack Sparrow the pirate – “characters that people would like to dress up as on Halloween.” In the meantime, watch for this fashionista in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery opening Nov 23.

Can’t help but notice that Jeff Bezos’s girlfriend, journalist Lauren Sanchez, ALWAYS wears sexy clothing whenever she’s with him. You can count on cleavage and either abs or plenty of visible leg when they are together. This includes sporty daytime activities – sightseeing, even this guided tour they took in Rome of The Colosseum. At least this time Lauren put away the stilettos and wore sneakers like everyone else. When she was a working journalist, Lauren flaunted a lot less skin. Does she dress this way to please the world’s third richest man? After all, JEFF has hit the gym and gained a lot of muscle to improve his own looks. Keep in mind, Lauren is worth around 30 million on her own, so she doesn’t HAVE to try that hard to please her man…
