DON’T ASK EDDIE REDMAYNE TO MODEL

We all know that designers give celebrities expensive dresses and suits to flaunt on red carpets and at big PR events in hopes that it will stimulate interest in their fashions and increase sales. Celebrities often mention their designers names whether the press ask about it or not. Designers might think twice before dressing actor Eddie Redmayne because his red carpet “flaunting” expertise is minimal at best. He’s wearing a perfectly nice but unremarkable blue suit at the Motion Picture Museum gala, but he looks excruciatingly uncomfortable posing in it. Can’t figure out what to do with his hands OR his feet. (Or his FACE!) Posing provocatively is NOT his thing…

ABSOLUTE WORST DRESSED COUPLE: JOE JONAS AND SOPHIE TURNER

The good thing is that Joe Jonas and his wife Sophie Turner have similar taste, and that makes them a good match. The bad thing is that they have equally BAD taste. The pair turned up at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala dressed like THIS. The first thing you notice is that they are trying SO hard to look cool. Joe’s fishnet print over the leather suit covered with grommets and buckles is WAY too busy, bordering on ridiculous. Sophie’s questionable and bulky khaki jacket over black lace tights is just plain odd. It’s not the first time we’ve seen this nice-looking couple dressed in equally unflattering outfits.

BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN: OFF WITH THE BASEBALL CAP!

We also have GUYS enhancing their looks and promoting their beauty- treatment doctors. Brian Austin Green, 49, had no qualms about revealing that he’s getting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections from Dr Gabriel Chiu to stimulate his hair growth. (Has no one told Jada Pinkett-Smith about this?) SHELLEY DUVALL STILL LOVES HER FANS

Back in the 70’s, Shelley Duvall was one of the MOST popular actresses. She was adored for being a truly original personality and a one-of-a-kind, likeable person. She dated Paul Simon for awhile. You might have seen her in The Shining, 3 Women, or Popeye with Robin Williams. Shelley’s big toothy smile was her trademark and that makes this photo particularly sad. Shelley, 72, lives in central Texas (she fled Hollywood in the 90’s after the big earthquake.) She acknowledges having mental problems, but still appreciates being recognized by her fans, and will happily pose for a picture with them -like she did here.

KHLOE KARDASHIAN’S PLASTIC SURGEON IS RED HOT

We’ve been pondering the REAL reason behind Khloe Kardashian’s unnecessary announcement that she just had a cancerous tumor (?) removed from her cheek by plastic surgeon Dr Garth Fisher. Certainly no one would have noticed she had ANYTHING done without this abundance of publicity. Her skin problem was the size of a pea, hidden by her hair, and barely visible- especially considering her obsession with photoshopping all her pics. Perhaps she announced this procedure simply to give Garth Fisher favorable publicity. Fans will assume Fisher was the surgeon who gave Khloe her new face awhile back, and they will be lined up outside his office. Can’t hurt to have a grateful plastic surgeon in your life!

WHAT DID BRAD PITT LEARN FROM JOHNNY DEPP?

We’ve always been Team Brad when discussing the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt divorce. As of now, they are both legally single, but not yet divorced- in fact, the divorce has gone on 3 times as long as their two year marriage! It may never end. They keep dragging each other into court for one thing or another- custody of the fast-growing kids, the French winery etc. Angelina is constantly -and deliberately- photographed on outings with each child, appearing to be a devoted mother, as she insists that Brad abused her and his children. We were startled to learn that Brad has the SAME powerful PR team used by Johnny Depp to save HIS reputation. Granted, we appreciate that Brad has never said a negative word about Angelina, but he might have something to hide if he hired those PR people…

WHO’S NUTTIER? BRITNEY OR MADONNA?

Two mega-successful female celebrities have chosen to exhibit their madness on Instagram and there’s no stopping them!

Britney Spears started performing on Instagram while her conservancy was still in place. She repeatedly films herself “sexy-dancing,” pushing her skimpy shorts down to show her tattoos, while she repetitiously hurls her arms in all directions, spins in awkward circles and wildly shakes her uncombed extensions. Sometimes she posts nudes- thoroughly embarrassing her sons.

Not so long ago, Madonna discovered photoshopping and she cannot resist giving herself a new, decades younger face in numerous photos featuring an array of hair colors. Emboldened by her youthful self, she broke up with her boyfriend, pulled on her fishnet tights, and started hunting for a new lover. Her latest attention-seeking device is questioning her sexuality. Is she bisexual – like so many of the kids today? Or hungry for attention?  Madonna is embarrassing her fans…

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO…RANDY SPELLING?

Tori Spelling posted this photo of herself and her brother Randy Spelling, whom we haven’t seen in YEARS. If you’re old enough to remember, Tori and Randy’s father was Aaron Spelling, one of the biggest – and wealthiest- TV producers of all time. Now 44, Randy followed in his big sister Tori’s footsteps and fell into acting at an early age. He appeared on several teen series like Sunset Beach and Beverly Hills 90210, and sort of disappeared around 2009. Turns out the former actor moved to Portland, Oregon, with his wife and two kids and became a holistic “Life Coach” -and he also teaches other people how to do it. (https://randyspelling.com/) Apparently motivating other people is a profession that needs no formal education because he never went to college, but he appears to be doing well. THEIR MUTUAL LOVE OF FASHION BROUGHT JANET AND PARIS JACKSON TOGETHER

And it’s about time. For years Janet Jackson had little or nothing to do with her late brother Michael’s daughter Paris. In fact, the last time they were friendly was at Michael’s funeral. Since then, they have clashed whenever the family got together for a funeral or event. Paris would never talk about it and Janet just kept her distance. It’s doubtful that Paris has ever met Janet’s son. Janet and Paris were both prominently featured during Paris Fashion Week and they couldn’t avoid each other. Billie Eilish looks like she’d rather be ANYWHERE than posing for the paparazzi at an environmental awards show this weekend. She’s capable of giving some hard-core glances.
