DIANE KEATON IS A DEVOTED “DAD” AT THE LAKERS GAME

Diane Keaton knew she’d have to be both mother and father to her son and daughter Dexter and Duke because she’s perfectly happy being single. We wonder if she realized how many soccer games and sports events she’d be attending with Duke. Here she is with her son at the last Lakers game – she suddenly finds herself deeply involved in basketball because Duke is a fan. It looks like she stocked up on souvenirs.

  1. Janet, I have to say that your headline insinuates that moms can’t bring their sons (or daughters) to basketball games. I love basketball and happily bring my kids to games. Oh, and Diane is an original and likely thought nothing of what she might or might not have to do as a single parent.

  2. Personally, I assumed that she is a fantastic mom. I love her personality and adore her on screen. Those are lucky kids.

  3. Bettye: I too love the hat. But I’ve been noticing for some time now that Diane seems to have “Katherine Hepburn Disorder” in that she seems rather obsessive about her neck and keeping it covered up in turtlenecks, etc in interviews. It annoyed me with Katherine, and I find it calls actually MORE attention to the area they seem so worried about. Too bad people can’t just relax and be who they are and embrace the changes that are inevitable.

  4. That is the cutest photo. I love me some Diane Keaton….she seems like she really enjoys being a mom.

  5. After getting away from the corpse Woody Allen, life for her has to be good.

  6. Since when is there a Levi’s store in Staples? This photo doesn’t sync with the story…

  7. Strom only confirms what most of us already know: Diane Keaton is gorgeous, stylish, and obviously a devoted mom, single or not. But Janet, clearly those bags are not from the Lakers gift store; maybe you were referring to Duke’s outfit. Too bad Jack Nicholson couldn’t get back together with Diane.

  8. I agree, la girly. I’ve been to the Staples Center many times and I’ve never seen a “Levis” concession.

  9. For the life of me, I wish someone would teach this woman how to dress. She never looks stylish or nice. Argh!
