COURTNEY LOVE WANTS CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE

When Courtney Love isn’t shopping, she’s ranting on Twitter and she recently became irate when Lana Del Rey performed what was described in Rolling Stone as a “delicate” rendition of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana’s hit “Heart- Shaped Box” in concert in Australia. Courtney slammed Lana with a tweet saying “You DO know the song is about my vagina, right? So next time you sing it, think about THAT!” The tweets have been deleted, but certainly Lana will think twice before singing the song again.

Hockey champ Wayne Gretzky has been tormented by the fact that his aspiring actress daughter Paulina, now 23, is determined to build a career by posting scantily clad photos of herself online. (She’s following in Courtney Stodden’s footsteps.) He actually shut down her Twitter account at one point when her blatant near nude shots embarrassed him. When she reopened the account she had 162,000 followers, so maybe her scheme is working. She was hired to pose for a sexy layout in Complex magazine (top photo.) If Wayne Gretzky didn’t want his daughter to be a pin up girl, he shouldn’t have married a Playboy centerfold (Janet Jones.)

Overnight our opinion of LeAnn Rimes has changed. For some reason, we have been giving her he benefit of the doubt – despite the fact that Eddie Cibrian left his wife Brandi Glanville and children for her. Naively we blamed Eddie – LeAnn seemed young and sweet and totally in love. LeAnn’s penchant for parading around in bikinis was puzzling – she seemed desperate for attention and validation. This week she had a very character revealing moment when she tweeted a photo of the special cake she had made for Eddie’s 39th birthday. The theme of the cake was “Eddie’s Favorite Things” and it featured a likeness of Eddie and LeAnn in a bed on top with his two young sons lurking on the side of the cake. Oblivious to her lack of taste and common sense, LeAnn proudly shared her creation with the world, and instantly she became a whole lot less likeable…

Courtney Love is back on Twitter, making enemies hand over fist. Lately she’s preoccupied with former Nirvana musician Dave Grohl and she’s accusing him of all kinds of unpleasant things. Like attempting to seduce her 19 year old daughter Frances. She claims a former roomate of Frances told her that. Keep in mind that Foo Fighters frontman Grohl, 43, is now happily married and has known Frances since she was born. Courtney went to accuse Grohl of being “obsessed” with jealousy of her ex husband Kurt Cobain and made a pass at HER also! It is suspected that Courtney’s rants are actually the result of disagreements over Nirvana song copyright details.

ASHTON KUTCHER IS NO HANK WILLIAMS

Ashton Kutcher can’t avoid putting his foot in his mouth and his Twitter obsession isn’t doing him any favors. He appeared as a presenter last Sunday on the Country Music Awards televised in Las Vegas and he looked like a doofus. (Why he was on the show at all is a mystery.) He dressed himself up in a HUGE oversize cowboy hat that nearly covered his eyes and a fancy old style western jacket with a jumbo silver belt buckle. Country singers on the show found it offensive and thought he was MOCKING them. He tried to tweet explanations and ended up sniffing “I grew up idolizing the style of Hank and Merle, maybe new country people just don’t get it.”

KIM KARDASHIAN HAS THE LAST LAUGH – ON HER TWITTER WAR WITH DEMI MOORE

Two years ago Demi Moore took exception to a tweet of Kim Kardashian’s and it started a mini-twitter war. Kim nonchalantly tweeted that she was “out pimpin’ with my friends” and Demi criticized her immature choice of words –pointing out that “a pimp is a slave owner” and the pimp culture should not be glorified. Kim was irritated, but let it slide at the time. But she didn’t forget. At Elton John’s party Kim was heard making fun of the fact that Demi was caught doing drugs with much younger friends -“she called ME immature!” Kim laughingly requested a song “dedicated to Demi” – the song was Devo’s “Whip It!”

Incidentally, Kim K insists that this did NOT happen….

We had to laugh when Wayne Gretzky got upset about his 22 year old daughter Paulina posted sexy photos of herself on Twitter. Really. What did he expect when he married a playboy cover girl? Wayne didn’t complain when his future wife Janet Jones appeared in a semi-nude layout in Playboy. Janet dabbled in acting and modeling and was known for her amazing body. Paulina apparently inherited a similar physique and similar ambitions. His sons are athletes, did Wayne expect his daughter to become a physicist? Since he still supports Paulina financially, Gretzky talked her into removing the photos, but we’re betting Playboy will make her an offer…. One last thought about last night’s Dancing With The Stars: Ricki Lake was ROBBED. We were afraid that the Kardashians’ combined 24 million Twitter followers would make sure that Rob won no matter what. Luckily, JR Martinez, who seemed to be the choice of most Americans, actually DID win. If Rob had won he would always have had that black cloud of “cheating” hanging over him. Sure, he became a good dancer (and he has a great smile,) but Ricki Lake was far better. SHE’S the one who fell victim to Rob’s family packing the ballot box. She’ll have to console herself with that.
